I Cant Miss !!! 117 Military 2

That night I went out to a local bar with my new team-mates. We wanted to get to know each other so we headed out for a drink, we got a private booth to just hang out and talk. We ordered our food and while we were waiting we started introducing ourselves. Dan was a technician working at a dead-end job until he got tired of it all and decided to sign up for the military. He was 5'8, very skinny and pale white, he showed us a picture of his girlfriend that was pregnant and waiting for him at home, she actually didn't look that bad. I asked him what was he's going to be doing and why was he so special to be selected in this task force he shrugged and said I'm very good with tech work and I'm able to break into anything. I nodded my head in understanding as I looked on to the next person to introduce himself. The next person was Ponder he was an American-born but both his parents were Australians, he was white but with a strong tan and almost looked like he was from Hawaii. He was going to be our scout, the person that scouts ahead on a mission and he said he was a pretty good shooter too. His parents had been taking him to a gun range since he was young, he was quick on his feet and very light. He had feathered feet also which meant that he could be very light on his feet causing him to make close to no sound when he was sneaking around. The next person was Rex he was a contracted a.s.sa.s.sin, he was the oldest of us all as he had a full-body tattoo including tats on his face. I had never seen anybody with so many tattoos but this guy was beyond crazy like his name. Rex was as white as can be but at this point, you might as well say he was black because of all the tattoos for covering his body. The last person was Nana, he was an American-born but African background as both his parents were from West Africa Congo. I got excited when I saw a fellow African, I asked him what was he going to be bringing to the table he shrugged and said I don't know yet but when we get there I'll know. We were all surprised by this as we thought can we really depend on this guy he doesn't even know what he's going to be doing. After they all asked me what I was going to be doing?, I introduce myself" hi my name is Eazy, I was also born here but both of my parents are from West Africa, Ghana to be precise and I'm supposed to be the sniper. Rex laughed and said "oh so you're going to be a coward then"  causing everybody to laugh except for me as I did a fake laugh and said "well if you put it that way then maybe, but when you're down on the field I will have your back no matter what as they finally realized the importance of the sniper. "If somebody is sneaking behind you or anybody that's in your blind spot I'll be able to take them out and I will never miss" when I said that they all just shook their heads as they thought that I was being c.o.c.ky. They thought in their heads there is no perfect sniper out there but didn't explain everything as I would let my actions do the talking. We enjoyed the rest of the night as we ate and drank until we got tired of each other's companies and headed home to the base. The next day Bob comes into our rooms telling us that we should get ready to head out and we should leave all the stuff that we brought, we won't need it. Bob gave us a bag and he said: "these will be your uniforms, for now, wear them and take care of them because that's all you're getting". We nodded as we took a look at what we got, they were all black and had a lot of pockets. We were supposed to put equipment in it. It was a little heavy and chunky, we were using black combat military-grade boots to go with that and it looked pretty cool. We slipped them on and got ready to meet Bob, at the destination, there was a helicopter waiting for us while Bob was standing by it waiting for us with what seemed to be blindfolds in his hand. He blindfolded us and said" that the place we're going is top secret so n.o.body can know about it especially you rookies" causing us to laugh. We boarded the chopper as we headed out, after 1 hour we had reached our destination as the helicopter landed. I was mad that I wasn't able to see where we were going and enjoy the flight but I didn't think too much into it as I just did what they told me to do and kept my head down. We got down and Bob finally untied the blindfolds it seemed like we were on an island. We asked him where we were but Bob wouldn't tell us so we just dropped it. Bob told us to rest because we have an early start the next day as he showed us around the building that we were going to be staying in. It wasn't all that luxurious but it was just okay and basic. We all sat down to eat a meal which consisted of potato soup and a loaf of bread. I don't remember ever eating that kind of food. I've been spoiled by so much luxury is food so this trash of food felt weird to me. The other guy's started laughing when they saw my reaction after taking one bite of the food. Rex said" mama's boy misses mommy's cooking", I said "well yeah I did, unfortunately, she pa.s.sed away a few years ago" causing them all to stop laughing as they apologize for laughing. I didn't mind them because I had experienced her death twice already so I was over it. I just regret that I wasn't able to take care of her in my second life.
