Mu Chang stared at Ru s.h.i.+ and softly smiled at her. She looked beautiful. Seeing her with another guy reminded him of what he might lose if he doesn't make the right decision.

He missed his little kitten and what he wanted right now is to hold her right in his arms where she belongs. But he knows he has to remove all her insecurities before he can hold her again. He glared at Zhang Wei. Zhang Wei smirked at him in response. He removed his eyes and looked at the other people in the room.

"h.e.l.lo, ladies and gentlemen.

Welcome to the annual gala of Li Corps. My name is Li Mu Chang the CEO of Li Corps. Once again welcome."

He said as he bowed to the guests. The guests clapped for him.

After they finished he continued

"Over the past years, Li Corps has achieved a lot and is all thanks to....."

Ru s.h.i.+ stared at Mu Chang in a daze as he speaks. She missed his voice.

It has been soo long since she heard his voice. He looked handsome standing there. His deep voice sounded in the quiet hall. She missed him calling her kitten. She missed his touch. She really hopes that he doesn't disappoint her and that he'll figure out what he wants.

If not then he really doesn't deserve her.

"You know, looking at lover boy like he's the only guy in this room hurts my self-esteem as a man."

Zhang Wei said with a sad look on his face as he stared at Ru s.h.i.+.

"Well, is there any guy in this room apart from him?"

Ru s.h.i.+ said sarcastically as she turned to look at Zhang Wei.

"You...!"

Zhang Wei looked at her speechlessly.

"Ru s.h.i.+"

Ru s.h.i.+ turned when she heard her name

She saw w.a.n.g Lu grinning at her

"w.a.n.g Lu"

She nodded as a form of greeting.

"Well, why is it that you look more beautiful everytime I see you, any secrets you want to share?"

Ru s.h.i.+ blushed

"Hmm sister-in-law always look the best."

Liang Shao said as he joined the conversation.

Ru s.h.i.+ frowned when she heard him

"Sister-in-law?"

She asked

"Well, in our hearts you're the only person we have acknowledged as our sister-in-law. If only that idiot will fix his mistakes early and figure this out himself."

Ru s.h.i.+ smiled but said nothing.

"Ru s.h.i.+!!"

Shen Ruyi shouted as she entered the hall.

Her high pitched voice sounded in the quiet hall.

Everyone turned to look at her. Everyone had a different expression on their face as they looked at her. Some were curiosity, anger, disdain etc.

She embarra.s.singly bowed as she made a way to the room.

Mu Chang looked at his cousin who had interrupted and sighed.

Ru s.h.i.+ looked at Shen Ruyi with an embarra.s.sed look as she approaches her.

"What?"

Ru s.h.i.+ rolled her eyes at her.

Liang Shao stared at her. She looked cute in her blue dress.

If only he can be bold enough to ask her out.

But he's afraid of Mu Chang. He knows how much Mu Chang loves this little cousin of his. And he doesn't want to risk their friends.h.i.+p. He can only watch her from far and admire her.

"Lastly I want to thank my parents and a very wonderful person for always being there for me. I know I don't know how to express myself at times and have made her insecure but I want her to know I appreciate her and the fact that she doesn't give up on me.

Thank you all and have a wonderful evening." He bowed after he finished speaking.

Mu Chang voice sounded again.

People clapped for him as he finished his speech.

"Mr Li, who is this wonderful person. Is it Miss Qin?"

One of the reporters asked him after he finished his speech.

Mu Chang looked at Ru s.h.i.+ who was looking at him with antic.i.p.ation.

He smiled softly but didn't say anything.

Ru s.h.i.+ looked at the ground with disappointment. She thought Mu Chang will announce to everyone that he's no more with Qin Jieli but as usual he has disappointed her again.

"Excuse me. I'll go out for fresh air,"

Ru s.h.i.+ said.

w.a.n.g Lu looked at her with a sympathetic look.

Ru s.h.i.+ smiled sadly.

Zhang Wei turned to look at her

"Do you want me to accompany you?"

Ru s.h.i.+ shook her head.

"No, I'll be fine. I want to be alone.

Shen Ruyi looked at them with a puzzled look. Why does it feel like they know something that she doesn't?

She turned to look at w.a.n.g Lu

"Ok spill, what's going on. And why does Ru s.h.i.+ have that sad look on her face."

w.a.n.g Lu shrugged as he looked at her

She turned to look at Liang Shao

Looking at the curiosity on her face, he nearly spilt the secret but he knows he can't.

Shen Ruyi frowned as she looked at the desolate back of her friend.

She wanted to go and talk to her but she knows she needed s.p.a.ce now.

She whispered softly as she looked at her back.

Qin Jieli smirked at Ru s.h.i.+ as she saw her leaving the hall.

Tsk, tsk did she think Mu Chang will announce that they're no more together at an official business gathering? That will be bad for business.

There's no way Mu Chang will risk a scandal at an official business meeting.

Oh, Li Mu Chang, you said you don't love me but why is it difficult to announce our break up.

She panicked as she stopped and looked around.
