Lexi elegantly sips her tea as she glanced at the very few people inside the premises. Since the establishment was meant for important and wealthy people, Lexi could recognize a few of the familiar faces from the entertainment and business industry.

However, despite the humiliation that was dawned on her by the scandal Morris scattered, Lexi kept her stoic expression -- not minding some of the odd glances that were cast upon her.

"Are you sure that Mr. Tanaka is here? chu?" Churu inquired as she also scrutinized the whole area as if she was a little soldier -- ready for an incoming attack.

'No, but it's worth the try.' Lexi responded telepathically. Though she already tried to make a proper appointment to Wren Tanaka, alas, she was told that the CEO Tanaka wasn't available at the moment and the arrangement might probably take a few months due to his busy schedule.

"How would you know if it was him, chu?" the little dumpling inquired again. Since after all the research Lexi had done, they didn't gather a single photo of the said respectable man. Hence, Churu was quite intrigued by how will Lexi knew who is her target.

'I'll hear it. Sissy, in this kind of place, a hotshot tyc.o.o.n would be treated differently with many lackeys or girls accompanying him.' Lexi said in a matter-of-factly tone. The reason why she needs to properly observe her surrounding and listen very carefully.

'Ohh… were gonna eavesdrop, chu!' Churu was on fire hearing their certain mission and her almost non-evident ears doubled it sized.

Seeing her earnest to help, Lexi can't help but chuckle by Churu's adorable determination. Surely, Churu is the friend she needed who pushed her to do the things that should be done despite the task given by the system.

As Lexi elegantly sips her tea, she heard a very familiar voice of someone she clearly remembers.

"Lexi?"

Arching her brows, Lexi slowly puts down her cup of tea as she composed herself and turn her head to the side with cla.s.s.

"Che Diayu?"

"Oh my G.o.d, Lexi! It's really you!" Che Diayu shamelessly took the seat opposite her as if she was excited to see her friend Lexi. She added, "How are you? I heard you --" Alas, she paused as if she hesitates to say the obvious.

'Great! Of all people, why would I have to see this fake?' Lexi ridiculed inwardly as she was itching to roll her eyes and just pretend that she didn't see Che Diayu. Alas, Lexi had her priorities and she can't just leave even though one of the most hated people in her life is now in front of her. Hence, Lexi smiles back as if she was unaffected by Che Diayu's presence.

"I'm fine, Diayu. Thanks for your concern."

Quickly glancing at her seemingly casual attire, Che Diayu was wearing a floral designed pink off-shoulder dress that showcases her s.e.xy collarbones with a multi-layered rose gold necklace. Her chocolate brown hair had big curls and her skin was as white as a sheet that perfectly matched her pink dress.

Indeed, Che Diayu seems elegant and had a gentle temperament by her attire and if Lexi doesn't know her better -- she might think that this young miss of the Che clan is the sign of purity and innocence.

However, that is not the case because if Lexi was ent.i.tled to be a White Lotus -- Che Diayu, on the other hand, can also be considered a green tea b*tch.

"You don't know how worried I am when I heard about the news. I want to visit you but my schedule had been tight lately." Che Diayu frown, showing her disheartened about her part as a friend yet, the meaning behind her words contain boasting as if indirectly telling Lexi that all the projects that were meant for Lexi were now hers.

"It's fine. I understand."

Che Diayu was taken aback by Lexi's calm response as she was well-versed about Lexi's edgy att.i.tude. If it was before, Lexi would probably ridicule her and act like a diva she used to be. But now, she just acted as if she didn't pick up the meaning behind her words and acted as if she understood like a considerate human being.
