"Where are we going, Chief Wong."

Xiao Rin asked a man with a large beard as she entered the van.

The man was Chief Wong, the casting director for «The stars above».

Arc production has chosen him after careful deliberation.

"We were going to examine someone for the role of the second female lead in the movie. There are a lot of scenes of her character with you and Ren, so I wanted to see if you will fit well or not."

"Yes, that's why, we are going there with you to gain some footage."

The cameraman sitting on the side said.

He was recording every moment of it.

"You said, there would be many scenes with me and Senior Ren with the second female lead but I don't see him anywhere."

"Yes, we will pick him up first."

Chief Wong said as his eyes curved in crescent moons. He was quite excited by all of this as he would feature in Movie Making.

"Where are we going, Chief Wong?"

Xiao Rin asked as she saw the pa.s.sing buildings through the window.

Most of them were restaurants and bars, they were in an area which was famous for its night life and bar singers.

Xiao Rin wondered where they were going, considering that they were going to pickup Ren.

"You will know soon."

The van stopped after a while.

"Remember to disguise yourself or we would be in a lot of trouble. Your popularity is increasing these days too, so there can be fans here."

Xiao Rin nodded and put on a surgical mask. She also put on sungla.s.ses and a hat. Her disguise was nearly perfect.

"Good, I don't think anybody would recognise you now. Let's go, then."

Chief Woo said as he, Xiao Rin and the cameraman came out of the van and entered a bar.

It was very s.p.a.cious and although it was still evening, there were many people present in the bar, drinking and chatting with friends.

"Chief Wong, why are we here?"

Xiao Rin said as she looked around the bar.

Maybe because it was her first time to actually come in the bar or it was just the atmosphere but she felt both excited and nervous.

"We are here to see a performance."

Chief Wong said as they sat around in a corner seat. The seat has a good view of the stage and they would be less noticed in the corner.

"Performance? Are not we looking for Senior Ren?"

"Yes, we are looking for him and we will..…"

As Chief Wong was saying that, the lights dimmed and the lights on the stage lit up.

A performance was starting soon.

"Look at the stage, you will get your answer."

Xiao Rin looked at the stage confused when she heard that.

The cameraman also focused his camera on the stage.

Soon, a man came on the stage. He was wearing some tattered clothes and there was a chain with a weird dragon design on his neck.

He has rough beard too. He looked like a experienced indie singer.

"h.e.l.lo everyone, my name is Leo, I am a singer who is going to perform here."

The singer named Leo started playing his guitar as he said that.

"Chief Wong!! He is...."

"Yes, you guessed right."

Chief Wong said as he started focusing on the performance.

Xiao Rin also stared at the stage but with wide eyes. She was shocked to see that she knew the indie singer on the stage.

Xiao Rin was more shocked the more she listened to it, it was because she knew the indie singer singing on the stage very well.

She has heard his voice multiple times and despite him portraying himself as a indie singer, she knew he was not one.

"More like the singer knew how to put emotions in the song. We were really lucky to get to see him tonight."

Xiao Rin can hear two people speaking about the indie singer on stage.

She parked up her ears as she listened to them talking.

"Do you know anything about him?"

"Yes, he has been getting famous in the bars in this district lately."

"Yes, most people only know that his name is Leo and he plays the guitar, although I have seen many singers better than him but sometimes he plays some of his original songs."

"Originals?"

"Yes, the song he is singing on the stage. Have you heard of it before?"

"No, I don't think that I have heard it before."

"That's one of his original songs. It's good, right? "

"Yes, it's really good. I think it is better than many of the songs I have heard."

The two man talked for a while about the indie singer.

After the performance ended, the indie singer, Leo bowed his head slightly as he thanked everyone for listening to his song.

"Thank you for listening to my song. I hope you would like it."

"Please! One more time."

"Yes, we want to hear you again."

"The song was really good."

There was cheering and clapping for a while and despite the people urging him to sing again, the indie singer just smiled and left the stage.

"Let's go."

Chief Wong suddenly said.

"Ah, where?"

Xiao Rin was slightly surprised by those sudden words.

"To the backstage."

They moved to the backstage after that. There was no person who restricted them from going to the backstage.

They reached there swiftly and saw the indie singer polis.h.i.+ng his guitar.

"How was my performance?"

The indie singer asked Chief Wong like he knew him.

"It was good. You are really getting more better."

"Thanks."

The indie singer said that and then, he looked at Xiao Rin.

"Did you liked my performance?"

"Yes, it was great but why are you singing in a bar?"

Xiao Rin has already gauged thr true ident.i.ty of the singer, so she acted familiar with him.

"You know who I am?"

"Yes, do you really think that you can fool with that?"

Xiao Rin said as she let out a small laugh.

"Ah, it looks like I was found out."

The indie singer said as he removed his fake beard and the chain on his neck. Then, he revealed his handsome face.

He was actually Ren, who was posing as a singer.
