"Are you sure that this kid can play the character of Cao Xu well?"

"I think he will be able to play it well."

In a room, two people were talking with each other. The first one was an old man who looked to be in his 60s, but he was full of vitality despite being old.

His name was CEO Pan. He was the CEO of the biggest production house in China, Wheel works production.

The other was a person with long white beard. He was Director Chen Pu, one of the golden directors in the entertainment industry and the director of «Slayers».

These two were friends from a long time and Wheel works production will also provide the whole production budget of «Slayers».

Director Chen Pu smiled embarra.s.singly and scratched his head when he heard that. He was a director who was famous for writing his own screenplay.

He has also wrote the whole screenplay of «Slayers» and Cao Xu was his favourite character in the whole story.

He has never written such a complex and dark character before and he was not sure if he would be able to write such a character again.

That's why, he don't want to compromise on such a character at all. He was sure that this character will go on to become a famous and iconic character.

"I am again telling you to rewrite this character."

"What's wrong with the character?"

Director Chen Pu's att.i.tude was stubborn to the end and CEO Pan sighed seeing this. His friend would never change no matter how old he become.

He was even getting more stubborn with age.

"I like the character and I am sure it will leave a deep mark in the viewer's mind but to play it perfectly, an actor has to be completely immersed in his character and that can be dangerous."

"A daring actor will surely play this role well."

Although he was saying that, Director Chen Pu will not be satisfied with a mediocre performance, especially when it comes to the character of Cao Xu.

"I know some of the older veterans who will be daring enough to play this role but it would be hard to even convince them. This character is just too dark and inhumane!!"

"I don't care about. I just want an actor who can play this perfectly and I think Xin Ren can be the one."

"Even if it backfires on him."

"An actor that is afraid to take risk isn't a true actor."

A director only cares about the quality of the work he's been directing. He will use anything to improve the quality of his work, even if it meant harming the actors.

Director Chen Pu was the same type of director.

'What can I do with him?'

CEO Pan sighed seeing his stubborn friend. He was really expectant of Ren's audition now. He wanted to see if he can really play the role of such a character or not.

White bear said as he let out a frustrated frown. He glanced at Ren who was staring outside the window.

There was no particular expression on Ren's face. It was blank but there were countless hidden expressions on his face.

White bear again asked and this time, Ren knitted his brows and glared at him with scary eyes.

"Ren....!!"

The friends.h.i.+p of Ren and White bear was really strong but this was the first time Ren has glared at him this way.

White bear was really shocked to see him glaring at him.

'What? What am I doing?'

It was good that Ren was quick to realise what he was doing. He vigorously shook his head as he let out all the unnecessary thoughts in his head.

He focused on his thoughts as he took deep breaths to calm down. He was getting too immersed in the character that it was affecting his real self.

"White bear, I am really sorry. It's just that…."

"Ah, it's okay. It looks like Director Zhao was right. You are getting too immersed into your character."

"Maybe but I will be okay."

"I hope so."

White bear said as he focused on driving.

'I have to keep my thoughts straight.'

Before deciding to use method acting to immerse himself in the character of Cao Xu, Ren has thought about it for a long time.

He knows that there can be consequences as the character of Cao Xu will affect his own self but wouldn't he be a coward if he ran away from a role.

Now, he knows that if he got too immersed in this role, he would be fatal for him and it would take a long time to recover from it.

But he wouldn't be an actor if he cowered away from a role, no matter how much of a complicated role it is.
