"Senior Tang, are you okay?"

Ren asked as he approached Tang Lan, after her scene was finished.

Tang Lan looked to be in deep thought but when she heard Ren's voice, she subconsciously raised her head.

Then, she asked back.

"I'm fine but why are you worrying about me so much?"

"I'm just worrying about you as your junior. Do I need a reason to ask about your condition?"

"Is that so?"

Tang Lan didn't believe Ren at all.

She had experienced quite a lot of things during her career, so she can easily tell that there was a motive behind Ren approaching her.

Moreover, Ren was not the type to actively approach someone for a conversation. 

She had already noticed that, during her stay on the film set with Ren. So, him approaching Tang Lan was indeed suspicious.

"I saw you getting scolded by Director Chen Pu."

Ren said as he sat down next to her but Tang Lan just shrugged her shoulders and replied. 

"It's not new. His temper is getting more fiery after his feud with Na Wen. He's been getting pressure from all sides after that."

"Yeah, he seems to be in stress."

"Although he's in stress, he should not let out his frustration on us."

Tang Lan said as she grumbled.

Actually, it was her first time playing this type of character.

She had only played those weak female characters in dramas before. They were completely different from the spirit princess.

Until last year, critics had thought that she can only play one type of character but their perception of her had changed last year.

She had played a complex character in a tragedy last year which had greatly increased her acting spectrum. 

But even that role was somewhat weak.

So, it was hard for her to get into the character of the spirit princess from the start.

She had taken time to get into the character and now, she was able to play it well but one can see some flaws from time to time.

Director Chen Pu was scolding her because of that.

"So, what do you need from me?"

After some talk, Tang Lan quickly went to the main reason Ren was here.

"It looks like my intentions were revealed."

"You are still young in the industry. You can't deceive me with just this much. So, what do you want?"

If Tang Lan was getting straight to the topic, then there was no need for him to dwindle anymore time here.

"It's about Na Wen and…"

As Ren was speaking, Tang Lan quickly shook her hands in front of him and stopped him from speaking more. 

"I can't help you with that. Although, I know that you are not at fault here and the news is wrong but the agency is already in an uproar because Director Chen Pu wants to cancel the contract."

"No, I don't want to talk about that."

'She probably thought that I wanted her to talk with her agency to release a press release.'

Tang Lan thought that Ren wanted her to talk with her agency to stop those rumours about his and Na Wen's feud online. 

But that was not the case. 

"Then, what do you want?"

Tang Lan tilted her head, curiosity was well apparent on her face, as she wondered what Ren wanted from her.

"I want to know Na Wen's current location."

"What will you do with that?"

"I want to have a talk with him."

Tang Lan frowned when Ren said that.

She rubbed her forehead, as she looked at Ren and said with a frowning expression. 

"I know that you are angry that people are a.s.sociating you with the feud, but I don't think Na Wen has any hands on it. Fighting with…."

"No, no, it's not like that."

This time, Ren shook his hands and stopped Tang Lan from speaking any more.

He wondered if Tang Lan has a knack of misunderstanding things or she is just too quick to make a judgement.

"Then, why do you want to talk with him?"

"I just want to talk about the screenplay. I don't have any intentions to cause a fight."

Tang Lan wanted to ask more but she thought that prying further would not do anything. Thus, she replied.

"Na Wen is still in Hongdian. He's living in another hotel. I will give you the address. Oh, yes, you should talk with his manager before going."

Ren nodded at her words.

After that, Tang Lan quickly took out a note and gave Ren the address of the hotel Na Wen was staying at and his manager's numbers.

"Where's White bear?"

After the shooting, Ren wanted to directly head to Na Wen's hotel but even after looking around, he was not able to find White bear.

Ren wondered if he was in the bathroom.

"Hey, Ren, do you want to have some drinks with me today?"

As Ren was standing there, he suddenly heard the voice of Hou Qian.

He turned back and looked at Hou Qian who had a jovial expression on his face.

"No, I will refuse."

"Oh! Can I know the reason?"

"I am going to have a talk with Na Wen."

Hou Qian's eyes glimmered with a s.h.i.+ne when he heard that. It looked like he wanted to say something but he stopped himself from saying that. 

In the end, he just said.

"Then, I will take my leave."

Hou Qian left after that and Ren can only stare at his fading silhouette.

'He sure is carefree.'

Seeing the atmosphere on the set, no one would be in the mood to drink but Hou Qian didn't care about all that.

Ren thought that it was just because of his carefree personality. 

'I should find White bear.'

Ren thought as he began to search for White bear. After looking around for five minutes, he finally found him.

He was talking with someone.

"Oh! Ren, I was just coming to find you."

White bear said when he noticed Ren coming his way, but Ren was not looking at him. 

His eyes were on the person next to White bear.

"Mr. Xin Ren, we have met after a long time."

"You can call me Ren. No need to make it sophisticated and yeah, it's been a long time, Ms. Su Ling."

The person White bear was talking with was Su Ling, the manager of Li Xinru.

Ren had previously met her on the sets of «Secret spy» but their meeting was just brief. This was their first meeting after that.

"I'm surprised you remember me."

"I don't easily forget people."

Su Ling laughed when she heard that. She then glanced at White bear for a bit and then, she opened her mouth.

"I think I should go now. I should look for Xinru."

Su Ling said as she bowed her head slightly. She then left without looking back.

'She has a certain grace to her.'

Ren thought in his mind.

Su Ling was a woman in her 30s but she has a graceful nature to her which can easily attract anyone's attention towards her.

"What were you talking about?"

"Just usual manager gossip. By the way, were you looking for me?"

"Yes, I want to go somewhere."
