"I don't even know what Na Wen is trying to do."

Li Xinru muttered to herself, as she stared at the staff preparing the scene. They were fixing the lights and checking the audio.

The expressions on their faces were one of a hurry, as they rushed around. 

"I think he is just trying to prove himself."

"Ahhh...."

Li Xinru got startled when she heard that voice but as she turned back, she noticed Hou Qian standing there. 

"Why do all the actors like to startle me from behind?"

"Ah, what do you mean?"

Li Xinru grumbled but Hou Qian just acted clueless. She also can't do anything about it. It's just her who gets scared so easily.

It was also the reason Li Xinru didn't do any horror movies! 

"Just leave it. What do you mean by proving himself?"

"Oh! Well, Director Chen Pu was angry at him because of his poor acting. Now, he is just trying to show that he can act well."

Hou Qian said as he sat next to Li Xinru.

He had just come on the set, but he was already notified of Na Wen coming to the set from his manager.

He was also looking forward to seeing what Na Wen will do and how much he can improve the execution of his character.

"I just hope everything goes well."

"We have to watch the scene for that. Although, I think it would be okay, as Na Wen would not have even dared to come on the set, if he was not confident."

Li Xinru slowly nodded his head. 

When Na Wen had posted the apology online, she had a hunch that he would come back on the set, but she had never thought that he would come directly like that.

Li Xinru had thought that Na Wen would go through his agency and have a talk with Wheel Works production directly. 

If the production house was on his side, then not even Director Chen Pu can do anything. 

"I wonder what triggered Na Wen to write the apology. I talked to him when he came on the set, and he was like a completely different person."

When Li Xinru said that, Hou Qian instinctively thought of Ren.

He has a feeling that it was all because of Ren but didn't say that out loud. He has no intentions to do so in the future too.

Instead, he said.

"Maybe, it's because he realised that what he was doing was wrong. We all have those reflections in our life."

"Yeah."

Li Xinru nodded her head and saw that the scene would start soon. She wondered how it would go this time.

The blast fan continuously blew onto the two people, imitating a strong gale, blowing the hair of two people in the air.

The two people were obviously Ren and Na Wen.

"Father."

Ren slightly lowered his gaze, his s.h.i.+ny black hair scattering into the wind, his extremely elegant appearance causing people to involuntarily hold their breath.

The actor playing the role of the emperor looked at Ren. It was fortunate that the main actors in this scene were all present on the set.

If not, then it would be too difficult to shoot this scene.

Although there were still less actors than required in this scene, it was still good enough.

The rest of the actors would be added during editing. For now, the scene was mostly on the shoulders of Ren and Na Wen. 

"You won the tiger division with your strength and wits. You have proven yourself today."

The emperor said as he looked over at Ren. 

"Thank you father but…."

Ren slowly said his words but he stopped for a while before continuing them. At that moment, everyone was stunned looking at him.

The gentle and elegant atmosphere that seemingly makes people want to believe slowly dissipates.

Everyone's heart stilled as they looked at this young man, all impulsive and restless thoughts settling down.

Ren's bright and clear limpid eyes flashed with a shallow radiance, the person himself merely smiling softly.

At this moment, Ren's lip hooked up in a small smile, an illusory shadow overlapping on him.

"I will refuse the tiger division."

Ren slowly said those words, shocking everyone. Even the emperor showed a surprised expression. 

'Ren is brilliant as usual.'

Director Chen Pu thought but the person he wanted to see was not Ren, but Na Wen. He looked at the camera focusing on Na Wen. 

Not only him, but everyone on the set was ignoring Ren and was focusing on Na Wen and they were all surprised to see Na Wen's expression. 

'His expression is blank!!'

Na Wen's face was fully blank with no expression on it. The last time this scene was being shot, his expression was of shame.

But this time, his face was blank.

"He would surely get a scolding again."

"I can't believe that his acting has gotten worse."

"I am waiting for Director Chen Pu to trash him."

Several staff members started discussing in hushed tones. They were expecting to see Director Chen Pu flare up but….

Nothing like that happened.

They all looked at Director Chen Pu but his expression was not one of anger like they had thought. It was something completely different.

Director Chen Pu's gaze was alternating between Ren and Na Wen. 

He was moving his bottom up and down, excitement was visible on his face as he kept watching the scene closely.

'Why is he not showing any anger?'

That was the thought in many people's minds. Only few people on the set knew why Director Chen Pu was acting like that.

Hou Qian was one of them. There was a big smile on his face all along. 

As most of the people were not able to figure out the reason behind it, they started focusing on the scene. Maybe there was something they had missed.

"You don't want the tiger division?"

Ren turned towards Na Wen. The shallow smile on his face was still there. 

Some of the strands of his hair were falling in front of his face, obscuring his vision but it only adds to his elegant appearance.

"No, I don't want it."

"Why is that?"

Those words were said slowly by Na Wen, his posture was dignified like a real crown prince. There was no shame of loss on his face.

Instead, there was a slight smile on his lips.

"I don't need to acquire these soldiers. One can acquire the tiger division, but they can never squire their heart, but this Cao Xu has acquired their hearts today."

Even if the tiger division got into his hands, Cao Xu would have trouble controlling them. Moreover, the tiger division was the best in the whole army.
