Chapter 93. Spring Festival break

"I am home!!"

Ren said as he entered his grandparents house. He was here to celebrate the Spring Festival with his whole family.

His grandparent's house was in a small town. He used to visit it often when he was in high school but now, he felt that it had been many years since he had come to this town.

The people were also giving him stange looks as he was wearing sungla.s.ses when the weather was cloudy.

But Ren had no choice but to wear the sungla.s.ses as he was very popular right now.

"Uncle, you are here!"

As soon as he entered the house, Ren was greeted with his older cousin's kids.

They were noisy and full of energy as usual.

"I am here, now can you stop swinging on my arm?"

Ren said while sighing as he looked at the 7 year old kid on his arm and the 5 year old kid on his other arm.

"I will not. It's fun and Uncle, did you bring the gifts?"

"Yeah, we have already spent our pocket money for this month."

"I can't give you any gifts if you kept clinging to me."

Ren said as he spoke in a strict tone. He had to maintain his authority around his nephews or he will get overwhelmed by them.

And his nephews were also quick to realise the situation and they quickly separated from him and s.n.a.t.c.hed the gifts in his hands.

After that, Ren entered the living room and greeted him aunts, uncles and grandparents.

They were all very happy to see him especially after he had gotten popular.

"Mother, where's father and uncles?"

His mother and father had left early since Ren had to appear in some more interviews. That's why he had reached his grandparents house alone.

"They were out taking a walk. Your father mood was really good since your uncles kept prasing you."

His mother said somewhat proudly. She was happy that Ren was finally getting the recognition he deserved.

"Yeah, our big brother is a star now."

"When I told my friends about it in the school, they didn't believed in me and mocked me. Then, I showed a picture of you and they were all wide eyed."

His younger male and female cousins said as they chimed in.

"Yeah, it looks like you are really getting big."

His older cousin brother said as he came towards him.

"I am just doing what I can do. How's it going for you?"

"Well, it's okay. My boss is a little troubling sometimes but my life is going well."

His older cousin brother said as he laughed. He was older than Ren by 8 years and he was working in a office.

He had a family too and he was living a stable life.

After greeting everyone, Ren sat down with his cousins and chatted about their daily lives.

They were talking about their daily lives but inevitably, the conversation got s.h.i.+fted to Ren's upcoming drama and his life as a star.

"Your drama coming up right. I was really surprised when you got casted as the male lead."

His older cousin brother said as he smiled.

"Yeah, it will air from February. I hope you will see it."

"I was going to see it anyway but you are a star now. What's it like to live the life of a celebrity?"

"I am not a star. I am just an actor but it's great. Although the schedule is tight sometimes, I am living my dream life currently."

Ren said with modesty. He didn't wanted to be seen as someone arrogant.

"At least you are doing something you liked and trust me, you are really a star now. I often hear people from my company listening to your song."

"Yeah, but big brother, where did you learn to play the guitar?"

"Yeah, and what's your relations.h.i.+p with Lin Ru. I heard in a article that you two are dating."

When the topic of dating came out from his cousin sister's mouth, his aunts eyes s.h.i.+ned and they frantically started to ask Ren if it was true and if he was really dating someone.

In the end, Ren had to hurriedly explain about his relations.h.i.+p with her and as for how he learned the guitar, he had already thought of a story.

In the night, his whole family sat in front of the television as they excitedly watched the Spring Festival gala.

That night, his whole family has a joyful atmosphere as they chatted happily with each other.

The food was great and watching the gala, Ren really felt joyful in his heart.

It was a necessary break for him as he had not spend this much time with his family for a long time.
