Miss Mai muttered softly under her breath, “Uhh Qingsi… Our studio… CEO Yue… He… He’s already… bought it.”
That last few words were whispered so soft almost n.o.body could hear it.
Yan Qingsi was dumbfounded, turning over to glare at Miss Mai. “You sold it?”
With his long slender fingers twirling the small fork, Yue Tingfeng added gleefully, “Now, you not only need to address me as your landlord, but you will also need to address me as… your boss.”
“Shut your mouth…” Yan Qingsi intercepted before he even finished his sentence.
Yan Qingsi looked calmly at Miss Mai. “Miss Mai, you tell me.”
Yan Qingsi’s face was without any trace of expression—her eyes were deep, dark, and cold. Miss Mai s.h.i.+vered just from looking at her. With a pained expression, Miss Mai started saying, “Y..yes, I had no choice, they set up a Feast at Swan Goose Gate for me, I wouldn’t have made it out to even see you if I hadn’t signed on the dot.”
“How much did you sell it for?!” Yan Qingsi’s voice was cold as ice.
Miss Mai raised one finger.
“Ten million?”
Miss Mai shook her head.
“What the h.e.l.l, don’t tell me you sold it for just one million?”
Again, Miss Mai shook her head.
“Are you out of your mind?” Yan Qingsi roared, “You only sold it for a hundred thousand?”
Still, Miss Mai shook her head.
Yan Qingsi’s hands balled into fists. “Okay, you tell me, and you better not tell me a number that would make me beat you up.”
Miss Mai shuffled away from her before softly uttering, “One yuan.”
Yan Qingsi smiled, beckoning Miss Mai to come over. “Come Miss Mai, I can’t hear you. Come closer and tell me.”
“One… One yuan,” Miss Mai stammered. “I just wanted to show some guts, I really did not want to sell you out… Ahh, I just remembered I have an errand to run, I’ll take my leave now, you… you can slowly discuss it with CEO Yue… he is our boss now.”
Miss Mai was absolutely terrified of Yan Qingsi, bolting out before she even finished her sentence.
Yan Qingsi slowly turned toward Yue Tingfeng. He cleared his throat and started to speak, “So, do you have anything to say to your new boss?”
“Of course. A lot, in fact.”
A split second later, Yan Qingsi lunged at him, reaching out and touching Yue Tingfeng all over.
Yue Tingfeng was stunned for a bit, shouting, “What are you doing? It’s the middle of the day, I’m not as casual as you think I am.”
Yan Qingsi bellowed, “The cheque… Give it to me, don’t f*cking make me use brute force.”
