Yue Tingfeng put the phone down and picked up a slice of watermelon. “That’s right. He loves to loaf around on the job. He’ll whine to me if I don’t go to work for half a day and urge me to come. Says that the company can’t run without me. Actually, he’s just looking for an excuse to laze around.”

Yue Tingfeng raised his head to look at Helan Fangnian. “Why did you come?” he asked, smiling.

Mrs. Yue noticed that her son was barely managing the smile, and he did not let them sit down. It was awkward, so she asked the two of them to take a seat.

Helan Fangnian did not sit. He glanced at Helan Xiuse and said, “Auntie, we apologize for the surprise visit. We came here today to ask for forgiveness. That time, I didn’t clarify everything before las.h.i.+ng out at you. I’m sorry.”

Mrs. Yue stared at Yue Tingfeng in shock. She did not quite comprehend the words.
