On Lunar New Year Eve, Nian Junting and Luosang brought Little Apple to the Nian villa in the afternoon. They would only return to Tianhu villa at night. Mo Jin, Xu Zhengxuan and Mo Liuxi were there as well, along with Nian Qingyun and Nian Xi.

After looking around and not finding Murong Cheng, Nian Qingyun frowned and asked, “Junting, where is your mother?”

“Exactly,” Nian Xi nodded her head, “You and Ma were together for more than twenty years but you betrayed her. Your marriage isn’t as strong as their short two or three years together. You should really move on, we’re all so old now. Besides, I think Ma really feels at peace now. Uncle Jiang is very good to grandma and grandpa, too.”

“You should just concentrate on giving back to our country then. When you retire, you can help take care of my brother’s child.”

“Yeah, I’ll take care of my grandson while your mother plays and has fun with that b*stard outside,” Nian Qingyun was getting angry just thinking about it, “And it’s a little brat that looks just like your brother. I can already tell he inherited all those annoying traits.”

“Um… I’m going to get some fruit,” Nian Xi slipped away quickly.

Nian Qingyun grabbed her arm gently and said, “When are you going to get married anyway? You’re going to be an old maid soon. Nian Xi pictured what her father had just described. She felt as if she might actually throw up blood. Although they already broke up, she still had her pride. Instead of giving in to her father, she said stubbornly, “We shouldn’t compare our happiness with other people’s. I can’t possibly marry a random guy just because I want to get married before he does. Marriage is no small feat. Two people have to truly love each other want to spend the rest of their lives together. I don’t care what other people think of me. I’m rich and I’m pretty. Anyone who laughs at me is probably jealous.”

“Well said,” Nian Junting nodded his head in agreement.

“Bullsh*t, I can’t be bothered to talk to you. You can spend the rest of your life with Jiangjiang, the dog,” Nian Qingyun was furious, “Stubborn rocks.”

Nian Xi was reminded of her dog, “Oh right, where is my Jiangjiang?”

She went around looking for him and finally found him in the backyard. When she found Jiangjiang, Xiaosi was pouncing on him and the two dogs were embroiled in an intense fight.
