Gu Wei felt like he had just experienced the misfortune of looking into medusa's eyes. He was so horror-struck his body refused to move as if he really became a stone.

He wanted to s.n.a.t.c.h the phone from him but he couldn't.

Gladly, he was jolted and was brought back to life by his boss' heart shattering glares. The sudden bloodl.u.s.t that burst out of control made him shudder and his survival instinct finally kicked in.

"B-b-boss," Gu Wei finally managed to speak. "I think t-this is a mistake." He stammered while the erotic voice continued. However, both of them appeared as though they were not even hearing it anymore.

When Yu Chen's deadly stare didn't dwindle, Gu Wei swallowed his own saliva.

'OH MY G.o.d, AM I GOING TO DIE NOW?!!! BOSS, I STILL WANT TO ENJOY MY JOB AS A GREAT HISTORIAN! TT^TT SOMEONE, PLEASE SAVE ME!'

Gu Wei's legs started to weaken. It was because no matter how much he tried; he just couldn't think about any idea on how to save his a.s.s out of this. He used to be quick witted whenever he was in a dire situation but at this moment, it's like a certain almighty parasite, called Yu Chen, his boss, ate his brain.

"B-b-boss, this is…" just as Gu Wei started to speak again, something unthinkable happened.

The two of them heard the sound of the door k.n.o.b being twisted and their heads snapped towards the door. The bloodl.u.s.t instantly disappeared into thin air and as Gu Wei and his boss held their breaths, they finally started hearing the erotic sound again, becoming louder and louder in their ears, blending with the deafening noise of their heartbeats.

Their eyes turned wide in horror.

"Oh my G.o.d! Boss, turn it off!!!" Gu Wei yelped as he turned at him. His voice sounded the same as when he yelled to his comrades that a grenade was now being thrown towards them.

But his big boss, Yu Chen, was frozen. He literally turned into a stone in Gu Wei's eyes and he was not even breathing anymore.

'OH MY G.o.d BOSS! PLEASE DON'T DIE!!!'

Gu Wei could only scream inside him. But then, he heard the door cracked opened.

'HOLY COW!! NO!!'

Before the door was pushed open, Gu Wei's panicking hand s.n.a.t.c.hed the phone in the hand of the stone cold statue. However, because of his tremendous panic, the phone slipped in his hand and it fell on the floor.

His head snapped towards the door which was now being pushed and the moment he saw Luo Xiaolei's silhouette, Gu Wei screamed. This time, for real.

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

Luo Xiaolei was immediately startled by the loud roaring scream that she jolted in shock while Gu Wei continued screaming like mad as he bent down and picked up the phone in a flash.

As soon as he turned the video off, he finally stopped.

Luo Xiaolei: ". . ."

Gu Wei panted heavily. Beads of sweat were now falling on his forehead.

Acting like he didn't notice that Luo Xiaolei was now inside the room, Gu Wei spoke. "Boss!! You're so mean! How could you throw my precious phone like that?! Don't you know? This phone is… this phone is the futuristic iphone 100! This is the only one in this world!" he nagged like an upset wife and then just like that, he ran towards the door and left, leaving the statue on the bed and the confused and speechless Luo Xiaolei inside the room.

By the time Gu Wei was out of the door, he fell on his knees and he rolled on the floor.

It seemed like this S-rank mission was really the deadliest mission he had ever executed in his entire life. This even surpa.s.sed the sweats and fear he once experienced in the hands of that legendary knight.

"Ahhh… let me die for a while…" he murmured and then, he closed his eyes and made himself pa.s.s out.

At that moment, a pale young man was blinking as he stared at the dead man on the floor. He quietly tilted his head and crouched down just right next to the dead man's head.

He lifted his hand and poked the man's cheek. When the man didn't respond, the pale moving doll creased his brows.

"Juu, what happened?" another pale young man named Kyuu appeared behind him. "Is he still alive?" he asked and Juu casually put his finger near Gu Wei's nostrils before he nodded at him.

Kyuu sighed and he walked pa.s.sed them. "Let's go." He said but when he noticed that Juu was not following him, he turned. He saw that Juu was still staring at the pa.s.sed out man and he sighed again.

"Okay, I'll go ahead then. We can't leave the twins by themselves for long." Kyuu said and Juu nodded at him. In one glance, Kyuu could tell that Juu couldn't leave Gu Wei lying like that on the floor. Juu was like that whenever he sees abandoned animals left in streets. Although he lacked affection to humans except of course towards their master, Yu Chen, and the few people dear to him, it seemed like this Gu Wei at least earned Juu's affection as well. Maybe, it was because this Gu Wei was the only one among Yu Chen's guards who kept casually speaking with them and even continued noisily bothering them despite not receiving any response at all oftentimes.

When Kyuu was gone, Juu single handedly swooped the man up in his arms and brought him downstairs. He quietly walked towards the living room and put Gu Wei down on the large sofa.

He then stood there for a while before quietly leaving him.

Meanwhile, inside Yu Chen's room…

Luo Xiaolei tried to ignore the confusing thing she just witnessed. She could see how tensed Yu Chen was and she couldn't help but feel curious on what just happened. Why did Gu Wei scream like that? And why was this panda looked like he was a thief caught red handed? She badly wanted to ask. However, she noticed that the twins were not in the room.

"Where are the little buns?" she asked and finally, Yu Chen was fully back to the present.

"They're… in the attic." He replied as he finally looked in her eyes.

But then, Luo Xiaolei's eyes narrowed. It was because the man seemed to be blus.h.i.+ng and… he was wearing his panda outfit.

'Aww…'

She missed seeing him in this fluffy outfit. He was still looking weak so his fluffy outfit made him looked extremely harmless, like a little irresistible kitten. This sight of him made her felt the indescribable urge to pound on him and cuddle him.

'Oh gosh, this is dangerous… his appearance is distracting me again!'

"Ahem…" she cleared her throat before she walked closer to him. "What was that just now? Gu Wei is acting weird."

Yu Chen was quick to avert his gaze the moment he heard her. He casually picked the doc.u.ments on his lap and arrange it as he answered.

"He was… acting just now… trying to entertain me while waiting for you." he lied but because Yu Chen was not looking at her, she didn't notice his hesitation.

"Oh, that's unexpectedly funny," she chuckled. "But I think I heard a girl's voice as I entered? Were you–"

Yu Chen: "No, that was him as well."

Luo Xiaolei: ". . ."
