Gate Guardian - Song Of The Frozen Soul 102 We're Catching A Goddess! Attack Pattern Omega!

WE'RE CATCHING A G.o.dDESS! ATTACK PATTERN OMEGA!

"We have to rethink our strategy." Amy said to us.

We're almost at the location of the battlefield. I can already hear the explosions, projectile swooshes, and painful screams of the Guardians. The only thing that separates us from that b.l.o.o.d.y field is this small snow hill. I'm itching to see that ma.s.s murderer Diadem, but Amy called all our attention.

"You all know that we have fought Diadem three times, and for all of those, we failed to contain him. I have finally discovered our mistakes. That is why I have made a plan."

All of us are silent, waiting for her next words.

"Tiara, Ric, Heushac, and Key will take the small fries and possibly Hel if she ever appears. Kristoff, Emily, Drex, and Benedict will take Void Wolf. Ayano and I will take on Diadem."

"B-But why?" Tiara, Heushac, and I made a complaint.

"A doctor is never allowed to perform surgery on his blood relatives." Amy stated. "I especially made this plan so that there will be no emotions attached during the fighting. You guys are better if you are battling an enemy that is holding a personal significance in you."

"You have a point." I said.  "But are you sure there's only the two of you who will take Diadem? That guy has a Fake G.o.d Core."

"Who do you think you're talking to?" Amy chinned up and held her heart. "I'm the G.o.ddess of Beauty and War. I'm more than enough to kick Diadem's a.s.s!" She winked.

We all want to argue but we think it's all pointless. She'll just shut down our arguments like what happened in the underground laboratory. There's nothing that can stop her now.

"So that's settled!" Amy clapped. "Prepare your gears, we will deploy in five minutes!"

"Right!" Everybody answered. Then they dispersed to mind their own business.

"Hey…" Amy pinched my sleeve. I noticed that she's evading eye contact and her cheeks are blus.h.i.+ng. "I have to give you something."

She presented out a box. Looks like a packaging for a ring.

"W-What's this?" I took the box out of her palm.

"It's our wedding ring~" Amy held her warm cheeks. "Aaaah~ How many kids would you want to make, my dear Ric~"

"Don't mess with me!" I dropped it on the ground and angrily made a barrage of stomps, making the box buried under the snow. "This is not the time for this! You said that we will wait until Christmas!"

"H-Hey! I'm just kidding!" Amy cried as she dug in and recovered the ring. Then she forcefully inserted it into my left ring finger. "It's a Weapon Gem for Field Commanders."

I focused my prana on the said ring and several hologram screens appeared. Ten hologram screens; each of which has a blueprint of my allies' and my own body, and information about heart rate, prana pool, and other stats.

"Whoa… Woooow!" My eyes were filled with amazement. "T-Thank you for this, Amy! It's so cool!"

"Right?" Amy happily tilted her head. Then she pointed at the screen where her heart rate was monitored. "Look how sky high my heart's throbbing is! It's all because you're here with me!"

"Stop flirting." I made a cold glare. "This is not like you at all."

"So stingy!" Amy cried.

We have entered the battlefield.

Endless clas.h.i.+ng metals, random flying projectiles, and explosions everywhere. This is a lot more chaotic than I thought. It would be very hard for me even to command my basic platoon.

"Huaaaah!" Heushac swung his sword, hitting an expendable black-cloaked Cursed Guardian. It immediately resulted in a one-hit-KO.

"Haa! Sei!" Tiara has been punching faces for a while now, and she's getting the most kills. No, not kills, we're tasked to neutralize but not to kill them.

Key and I are just in the corner, ready for support. I had my new Weapon Gem deployed as I monitor the happenings of my allies' battle.

The screen shows the body blueprint of my fellow Gate Guardians, and every time they got injured, the body part will be marked orange. If it gets badly injured, it will be colored red. And combined with my ability to see twelve seconds in advance, I can predict the body parts that are about to be hurt. There's even a map that marks the location of my allies. This new toy will be my bread and b.u.t.ter as a tactician.

So far, so good. Except that Kristoff's right shoulder and left part of his head are marked orange. And Amy has been sustaining some minor injury too. I hope they are safe.

"Here she is!" Heushac shouted as he pointed his sword upward, to the snowy cliff.

It was what Amy has predicted! A six-footer lady with demonic wings and her face is half-beauty-half-zombie. It's the Norse G.o.ddess of Death, Hel herself! I don't have time to be concerned about my teammates! I have to focus on this battle!

"...Rikkun…" Tiara glanced at me. Heushac also went to my side as if they are waiting for my orders.

"Okay, let's do Attack Pattern Omega!!!" I shouted.

"What's Attack Pattern Omega again?" Heushac and Tiara tilted their head. Key, on the other hand, completely get it.

Gosh, why am I commanding these idiots? We only have four battle plans, and they even failed to get the gist of it.

I made a heavy sigh as I facepalmed myself. " and ! Hurry!"

"R-Right!" Tiara pumped her fist as her golden eyes were filled with determination. Her black hair turned to silver, and her irises turned to red. Three fox tails sp.a.w.ned from her back.

"Evo Armor Transformation Complete!" Heushac said as he showcased his exoskeleton armor with jet wings on his back. His broadsword thickened and was enchanted with flame energy.

"The Prophet, the Brightmore Witch and the fragment of the Blazing Heart? What a rare occurrence to see you three together." Hel muttered in awe.

Heushac didn't waste any time as he immediately surged up in the skies and stabbed the atmosphere. "!!!" He shouted. And then flame clouds emerged and covered a considerable part of the stratosphere. Orange lightning erupted, so the G.o.ddess of Death dived to lose alt.i.tude in order to avoid getting hit.

But that was the plan! Hel is too fast for us if she ever gets control of the atmosphere, so we have to narrow all her possible movements as possible! This is the power of Attack Pattern Omega!

And now, it's Tiara's turn!

"!!!" The shrine maiden's hands were covered with dragon-shaped flames. "!!!" Now her body is buffed with green electricity! Tiara crouched and gathered her strength on her legs, and then jumped with a sonic wave!

"Haaaaah!!!" Tiara made a right hook, directly hitting the enemy G.o.ddess's cheek! But she didn't stop there! As soon as the boxing shrine maiden landed on another part of the land, she jumped again and released a left straight!

She went on and on, jumping, hitting, landing, and jumping again in an endless loop as she's a ping-pong ball desperately bouncing over and over!

"You b.i.t.c.h!" Hel cried. "I'll finish you off! !!!"

Dark aura emerged from the G.o.ddess of Death's claws and directly caught Tiara. Once Tiara was captured, her body turned into a rotting lifeless corpse!

Just kidding! That's what my have shown me. I can see in advance after all. But I won't let that happen!

"!!!" I released my frozen frisbee in the predicted location, and it was a direct hit! Hel's body is now frozen solid stuck in the midair!

"!!!" Heushac made a heavenly falling star stab straight to the frozen G.o.ddess! As they crash to the ground, a crater was formed followed by an explosion! Thick snow smoke scattered around.

"

There was another set of snow explosion. Seriously, the enemy was already unconscious when Heushac attacked her. That last spell was unnecessary. This is really an overkill. Tiara overdid it.

I touched my earpiece. "Bravo Six Transport Unit, we have apprehended G.o.ddess Hel. Over."

"Copy that. We will teleport to your position in five seconds. Out."

After a few seconds, three priests with white hooded robe magically appeared in front of me. They formed in a circle, surrounding the defeated G.o.ddess as they open a special type of Gate on the ground. And in an instant, they vanished. They should have contained the Cursed Guardian back to HQ.

We're finished here. Now I'm worried about the other two teams.
