Alex frowned when he saw her. He did not know what she was doing here, but he knew it was because of her everyone was acting strange.

"I have been waiting for both of you." Shelka smiled at both of them.

Lilian immediately kneeled on her knees and greeted her. "Your highness Shelka."

Alex did not do that out of habit as in the Acacia Kingdom, he always told to stop kneeling while in the previous world, he did not have the need to do so. He looked at Shelka, trying to perceive her intention.

"We apologize for making you wait, your highness," Lilian said.

"It's fine. Actually, I want to ask both of you to join a mission with me. It is a mission to destroy a certain Slave Trader that we have found recently. They have been enslaving humans and elves, so the royal family has sent me to destroy the group.

"And because they are enslaving humans, this matter is not only my Elven Race's matter but also Human Race's. That's why I am inviting both of you to join me." She said with a smile.

"Forgive my rudeness, but may I know why Princess wants both of us? I am sure there are many people stronger than us."

"It's just a hunch. Both of you are unique in your own way and my family wants me to take both of you in this mission." She answered.

[Host, she is fishy.]

"Indeed." Alex acknowledged as he kept looking at her. He could not sense anything other than a scheme in this mission, but he did not know the other party's real intention in this mission.

[Are you going to accept it, Host?]

"No. I don't feel comfortable with this mission."

[But this might be the chance to get acquainted with their royal family. And you might be able to get inside there and challenge their trial.]

"..." Alex paused. "We will see how this conversation turns out."

Meanwhile, Lilian asked again. "We don't dare to accept this mission, your highness. We are afraid we will become your burden."

"Don't worry. This is only for formality. And the most special people that I have seen are you two. That's why… Please join me in this mission, take it as I am asking both of you." She smiled.

Lilian frowned when she heard this. Despite saying that, she could sense that the princess did not really mean it. She had a different intention from what she said.

Alex could somehow feel it too. Because of this, he really wanted to leave this place. If only he had his cards and asked to investigate things, he should be able to make a better decision.

Alex activated his Spirit Eyes to observe this princess because he did not have the chance previously. It was as Lilian said, she really had a Pure Wind Element. Alex was sure about this because the concentrated green energy inside her heart and the color intensity alone was similar to his fire element or Letizia's ice element.

He suddenly found another thing that made his expression darken. He could see two other people hiding at the entrance. Their energy was similar to the elf in front of her, so Alex immediately thought they were coming with her. After all, it was a bit weird to see a royalty suddenly come unprotected.

"This… this is our honor to help your highness." She said.

"Fufu, thank you. The strongest in the enemy's party is 7-Star Tier 5 mage, so I am sure three of us can defeat him. Although it will be a bit troublesome to defeat him together with his subordinates, as long as we can defeat the leader and the strongest one, the others should have no motivation to fight us anymore." Shelka explained.

"Yes."

Alex closed his eyes, thinking about this matter. It was true that with the two people outside, they could defeat them easily as both of them were 9-Star. Alex was sure they were going to follow them. That was why Alex felt this was a scheme or something.

"Alexander." Lilian then stared at him. Even Shelka looked at him. She knew Alex would be the hardest one to convince after their first meeting. Alex did not talk that much and seemed to have some a.s.surances against her, that was why he could keep his calm even in her presence.

"I am honored by Princess Shelka's invitation. However, I am only a 2-Star Tier 5 mage. I am sure I will only be your burden." Alex replied without an expression.

Lilian knew it was not true. Just by looking at their last mission, Alex was able to overpower 6-Star despite only being a 2-Star. Even though he used the surprise element to confuse the opponent, it was still a matter of the fact that he killed a 6-Star.

Shelka also frowned, thinking about how to convince him.

Suddenly, the guild master came out of his room and greeted Shelka before turning to Alex. "Alexander, you should accept this mission since her highness Shelka is inviting you personally."

"They don't need me." Alex shook his head before turning to Shelka. "If Princess just wants us to be the representative for the Human Race, I think Lilian is enough. I am just a weak person. Besides, I think with two 9-Star outside, it should be enough to defeat the group."

"!!!" All the people were taken aback. Shelka smiled inwardly as she thought. 'Interesting.'

The two people that were guarding her suddenly came out after her signal, revealing two female elves. Shelka asked. "How do you know?"

Alex merely shook his head. The two bodyguards immediately frowned. Their princess asked him nicely, but he dared to not answer her question.

"Well, if you don't want to answer, then I will change my question. How can I convince you to join me to finish this mission?"

Before Alex could reply, the guild master suddenly said. "Alexander, if you don't join the mission, I shall strip your rank and points."

The guild master also had his own difficulty. He did not know the fate of this guild in case they fought with the Elven Royal Family, so he needed somehow to make Alex join, even if he needed to force him.

Alex's expression darkened as he looked at the guild master. "Don't make me do something you will regret for the rest of your life. I have been playing with your rule to get all these points and you want to erase it just like that?"

"You… You need to join the mission for the guild."

"It seems you are going that way. Then, I shall remove myself from this guild. I will search for another way to travel to another continent." He glared at him as he took out his guild card and threw it to the ground.

The guild master also released his aura after hearing Alex's words. But before he could do anything, Shelka shouted. "Wait. This is only a misunderstanding. If Mr. Alexander wants to go to another continent, we can issue the pa.s.s for you and take care of your expenses as long as you join this mission."

"Princess is generous, but I can take care of it myself." Alex shook his head.

"Then how about this." Shelka pondered for a moment before saying, "I will grant you something if you join this mission."

This time, her two bodyguards were perplexed by her decision. They did not know that what Shelka wanted was Alex. She did not care whether Lilian would join or not, but Alex needed to join.

After meeting him three months ago, her family had gathered enough information about him. He came out of nowhere and suddenly appeared in this guild three months ago as a Tier 5 mage. The most important thing was his age.

They did not know about his age when they arrived at this place, so she continued her information gathering and found out that he was only 23 years old. This was unprecedented in history.

She thought with his talent, the Human Race might flourish. She wanted to gauge what kind of person was this Alexander Sirius. If he was a good person, then it was worth becoming his friend, and if it were the opposite, then it would be best to eliminate him, thus the mission idea.

Alex stared at her for a while. "Grant me something?"

"Yes. As long as it is within my capability, I will try to grant you that." She said.

"I do have three conditions. But I am not sure Princess will grant it, no maybe your subordinates will charge at me." He said while preparing a teleportation Array.

"You ungrateful bas-!" One of her subordinates shouted, but instantly stopped by Shelka.

"Three… that is a bit too much, isn't it?" She looked at Alex mysteriously.

"Only the first one is a big one, the other two are something that can be fulfilled easily."

"Oh. I need to hear your conditions first before I can decide."

"Princess, you mustn't. He is going to take advantage of you." Her subordinate said.

"This is my decision." She said before turning back to Alex.

"I wish to meet the Elven Ruler." Alex dropped a nuke in his first request.

"Interesting. Is this the biggest request?"

"Yes."

"If I may ask, why do you want to meet my royal father? After all, we surely can't meet an outsider just like that as it will be dangerous for us."

"I can't say." Alex shook his head. "But the only thing I can say, I bring you no harm."

"Ho… then how about the next request?"

"I want a pa.s.s to travel between continents. Even if I need to pay it, I am more than willing to get it."

"Continents? Not only just one?" She narrowed her eyes.

"Yes."

"What about the last one?"

"This is not a condition actually as this is a fact now. If I join this mission, I want to join as Alexander Sirius, not as the Empyrean Guild's mage." Alex dropped a bomb on the ears of every mage in this guild.

"You… you b.a.s.t.a.r.d!" This time, the guild master burst out of his anger.

"Stop him." The princess instantly ordered her guards.

They immediately came in front of him and made the guild master halt his action. He was only a peak Tier 5 mage, so it was impossible for him to challenge their royal family.

Ruby looked devastated by his statement, Seth also looked at him and wondered if he was dreaming or not. As for Lilian, her heart was hurt but she felt Alex only told them half the truth. She asked herself, "Is there another reason?"

Little did they know he made this statement because of two reasons. He was disappointed by the guild master's decision and this led him to the second reason. Even though he was disappointed, he knew the guild master had helped him by giving those missions.

If he were going to challenge all the trials, his name would become famous and there might be a chance for this guild to be targeted.

He thought if he challenged them as Alexander Sirius, a loner. They would not come to the guild. This was the payment he gave to them after taking care of him for the past few months.

Anyway, he only wanted to use this guild to get the pa.s.s, not wanting to be attached to it. So, this might be the perfect time to separate from them. He felt bad for Lilian but he had more important things to do. He looked at Shelka with a serious expression.

"Fufu… those three conditions are really interesting." She chuckled, making the other people speechless. They thought Alex's condition was too absurd, considering the real mission itself. Her subordinates wanted to persuade her not to agree with his terms, yet the princess nodded and said, "I agree."
