The next day Lu Wan went by himself while Ye Jiao stayed in the residence. She was not worried about her senior brother because she knew that Lu Wan was pretty powerful. Even without a suitable weapon, Lu Wan should be able to be amongst the top of the students.

Ye Jiao headed to the backyard as her eyes scanned the surroundings. It was filled with flowers and gra.s.s plus many other plants. There was no trace that the place was tended. Considering the fact that Lu Wan wouldn't walk there, it was obvious that the servants ignored it.

"I guess I'll just clean up a bit."

Taking a shovel and a knife, Ye Jiao worked to cut down the gra.s.ses and cleared the dirt. She had done this a few times in the past when she helped out her mother, so her movements were smooth. After an unknown amount of time, Ye Jiao finally stopped because her stomach was rumbling.

'I'm hungry.'

Putting the tools away, Ye Jiao walked to the kitchen. She saw the servants were talking to one another. They didn't have any reservation because there was no one else but them in that place.

"Is there anything you need?" one of the servants noticed Ye Jiao.

"It's already past the time for lunch. Is there any food left?"

"There is a lot of food over there, you can take whatever you need," the servants didn't make things difficult for Ye Jiao because they knew how Lu Wan always picked this girl to accompany him. They didn't understand Lu Wan's decision, but they also didn't want to court problems.

"Thanks."

Ye Jiao picked up some bread and stuffed them into her mouth. They tasted bitter, but she didn't care too much. After taking some other food, Ye Jiao left the kitchen and resumed her work in the backyard.

Time pa.s.sed swiftly and soon the sun went down.

"Xiao'er, Miss Lu Zhi has come," a servant ran and informed Ye Jiao.

Ye Jiao was startled. She put down the stalk bundle she brought and walked to the front. Right now, her appearance was messy because of the dirt and gra.s.s, but she didn't care about it.

"This servant greets Miss Lu Zhi," Ye Jiao greeted. "May this one asks why Miss came to this residence late at night?"

It was unsuitable for women to visit a man's place when it was already nighttime. Even though the two of them were still children, the rule still applied. Well, they were siblings, but it was still quite improper as they were not close to one another.

Lu Zhi pa.s.sed a glance at Ye Jiao. Her eyebrows knitted in displeasure and disgust. Ye Jiao's current appearance was simply too bad. "I just come here to give something to my brother."

"Miss, I'm afraid Second Young Master won't return until it's late."

"It's fine. I'll just leave my servant here."

The other servants looked at one another uneasily, but they didn't have the power to reject Lu Zhi. Looking at the female servants by Lu Zhi's side, they could guess what this woman aimed. It was just… they would never think the method would success considering that their young master was truly a training maniac.

"Is there any problem?" Lu Zhi asked.

"No, there's none, Miss."

"Good. I'll be leaving now."

As Lu Zhi left, Ye Jiao rubbed her forehead. She looked at the female servant and waved her hand. "Just put her in the living room to wait for Young Master. The others should return back to their work."

"Yes."

The female servant watched the other servants' att.i.tude before turning her attention to Ye Jiao. She had heard from her missus that Lu Wan started to pay more attention to a certain small servant. Looking at Ye Jiao's small built and appearance, she couldn't understand why Lu Wan would want to keep her close to him.

Not knowing what the servant thought, Ye Jiao headed to the back and moved the gra.s.s bundle away. The garden was still a mess, but some part of it looked far better because Ye Jiao cleaned it up.

'Senior Brother Lu hadn't returned yet," Ye Jiao headed back to her room and took a bath after instructing another servant to tell Lu Wan about Lu Zhi. Somehow, whenever Lu Wan was outside the training hall, she was the one who had control over the servants.

A few minutes afterwards Lu Wan returned.

"Young Master has returned," a servant bowed in front of Lu Wan. "Young Master, Miss Lu Zhi came to this residence not long ago."

Hearing the report, Lu Wan frowned. "What is it that she wants?"

"She wanted to give you something, Young Master. As it is inappropriate for her to stay too long, she left her servant here."

"Oh?" Lu Wan felt suspicious about Lu Zhi's action, but he didn't say anything more. He walked inside the living room where he saw the female servant waiting. Upon seeing him, the female servant came closer and bowed down. Her sonorous voice traveled along the air.

"Young Master."

"Get up, what is it that Lu Zhi wants to give me?"

"Young Miss wants to give me to you, Young Master," The female servant smiled. She smiled attractively as her body moved closer.

"You? I don't need any other new servant," Lu Wan replied harshly.

"I can serve you, Young Master," as she said that, the female servant started to take off her clothes.

By now, Lu Wan's expression turned dark. He summoned his sword and swung it without any second thought. With a slash, the woman was cut off into two.

"Ridiculous," Lu Wan spat out.

The female servant was filled with disbelief as she fell on the ground. She thought that she could take this chance to reach a higher place, but it just ended like this.

"Young Master," Ye Jiao called out as she opened the door. Her eyes landed on the female servant. "Is it alright to kill her, she's also Eon Energy Master?"

"She's just a trash who only had just formed her core," Lu Wan replied as he kept his sword back. "It doesn't matter too. By coming here, she has brought it for herself and there's no punishment for killing servants."

Ye Jiao knew that. The status of servants in this kingdom was extremely low, so there was nothing wrong for a master to kill their servant if that particular servant misbehaved. This was the reason many servants tried to raise through rank using any kind of means possible.

"Should I dispose of her?"

"Just ask the other servant. I'll have a good talk with Lu Zhi tomorrow. They just wouldn't leave me alone," Lu Wan clicked his tongue. "I'm tired, so I want to eat and rest."

"I'll bring the food."

"Ok."
