In the Arena City, Qi Huan listened to his guard's explanation as he came to understand what had happened in Chen Kingdom Capital City. It was quite… astonis.h.i.+ng to know that a disaster occurred because of an internal feud in a general house.

"In short, because of Su Daji's outburst, numerous stores are broken?" Qi Huan could faintly sense Wei Shang's frustration now. It wouldn't be easy to compensate them all and trying to negotiate with Su Family might take a longer time because Su Family was located outside the Four Kingdoms. 

"Yes, Your Highness."

"Good grief, I didn't think that Wei Family is that much of a problem," Qi Huan shook his head. He glanced over to Bai Xiang, who was standing quietly. "Make sure that our kingdom didn't have the same trouble. If there's any problem with the ministers, report it to His Majesty at once."

"Yes, Your Highness."

"You may go now."

Qi Huan rubbed his chin as he thought of the matter in Wei Family. He started walking to the east with Ye Jiao following behind him at quite a distance. Once they entered the swamp, she closed their distance and caught up to the young man.

"Senior Brother Qi."

"Did you hear what happened to the Wei Family?" Qi Huan asked. "I can't believe that someone stupid like Su Lian could induce such a large catastrophe like this. I guess you can't judge a book by its cover."

"Uh, Senior Brother Qi."

"Yes."

"I think it's partially because of my interference," Ye Jiao admitted. When she introduced the skill to take other people's core to Su Lian, she had hoped that Su Lian would be stupid enough to aim for Wei Liao. After all, she had seen how bad Su Lian and Su Daji's relations.h.i.+ps were.

However, she never expected that things would blow up this big. The incident that the two of them caused has become a major upheaval in the kingdom. It was something out of Ye Jiao's expectation.

Qi Huan looked at Ye Jiao. "I see."

"You don't seem to be surprised."

"I already kind of expected it because you have a feud with them and if it's me, I'll do the same thing with you or… even worse than that," Qi Huan smiled, yet the smile looked rather complicated. A gleam appeared beneath his eyes, something that Ye Jiao had never seen before. It was filled with ruthlessness and darkness.

Before, Qi Huan's gaze was often filled with killing intent. However, the one he showed just now was not just killing intent, but also some type of darkness. It was as if he had seen the worst of the world and didn't hesitate to act cruelly.

Ye Jiao herself was not totally sure what Qi Huan had seen so far. She would also not pry too much into her senior brother's att.i.tude. He had his own reason and experience to become who he was today.

"After all, what they do to you is unforgivable," Qi Huan continued. 

"Yeah," Ye Jiao replied in a low tone.

"Anyway, what did you exactly do?"

"Um, that's…"

In the end, Ye Jiao had to start from the beginning of how she got the idea to make use of Su Lian's lost core and her interference when she sneaked into their residence to make Su Lian aware of the method. Even though it was actually not a secret method, Su Lian was kept in the dark.

While Ye Jiao and Qi Huan had departed, Lu Wan was still waiting for his turn to use the transportation array. There were a lot of people rus.h.i.+ng, but the array couldn't be activated right away after they had sent someone. There was a cool down period before they could use it again.

"Young Master Lu Wan."

The voice startled him as he turned around. His eyes turned larger when he saw Mu Xin. "Mu Xin. I didn't expect to see you here."

Mu Xin nodded. "We're heading to Chen Kingdom Capital City, so I don't think it's weird for me to be here."

"I see."

"Where's Xiao'er?"

"She's not here."

"What?"

Lu Wan scratched his head. "Are you seriously thinking that she's genuinely my servant? It's just an agreement that I made with her in the past because of her position. She has left the city not long ago to go on a journey."

Mu Xin frowned. Her icy atmosphere turned even colder at that moment, but Lu Wan couldn't be bothered with it. If he had to say, Qi Huan's killing intent was much more dangerous compared to the icy atmosphere Mu Xin emitted. He had to admit that the temperature seemed to drop even further, though.

"Lu Wan, let me ask you something."

"Yes?"

"Can she use Eon Energy?"

Lu Wan froze in his place when he heard Mu Xin's question. He turned around to look at the young lady. "What are you talking about?"

"Answer me honestly," Mu Xin pressed forward.

"Stop pressing me. You don't have to continue asking about her. She has her own life to follow," Lu Wan tried to change the subject.

"She's my little sister, so I worry about her. No matter what, she'll always be my little sister that I treasure."

Seeing the solemn expression on Mu Xin's face, Lu Wan knew that this woman was dead serious. At the same time, he couldn't bring himself to answer her question because it would definitely leak out the truth about Ye Jiao's real talent.

That she was not a trash.

"Lu Wan, tell me honestly. Can she use Eon Energy?"

"Ugh, you're so persistent," Lu Wan sighed. "I'll tell you, but you should never ever tell anyone about it, got it?"

Mu Xin nodded her head in agreement. Her clear eyes were looking at Lu Wan with persistence. She hoped that he would answer to her inquiry and gave her a sense of relief. At the very least, she hoped that her little sister would have a better life with Eon Energy. 

"She can use Eon Energy."

"I see."

Lu Wan blinked his eyes a few times. Mu Xin's response was blander than what he expected. If it was him, he would have screamed to the sky at the disbelief.

"You seem calm. Have you expected it?"

"Perhaps," Mu Xin replied ambiguously. When she saw how Ye Jiao managed to catch up with Qi Huan and Lu Wan, she had the thoughts that perhaps Ye Jiao could use Eon Energy. That was the only plausible explanation for her great speed to be able to match up against them. If not, it would be hard to explain how Ye Jiao could possibly match with these two, who were known as geniuses in their respective kingdoms.

The realization that Ye Jiao could use Eon Energy just made her feel relief. After all, she knew for sure that Ye Jiao would be very capable. The way she trained back in the past had showed Mu Xin that Ye Jiao was full of determination. If she had the chance, she would surely train herself to the bone.

Now that she had the chance, Mu Xin was aware of what Ye Jiao might do. And she would not stop her little sister from getting back what she deserved.

"What are you going to do with it?"

"Me? Nothing," Mu Xin shrugged. "I'll just count the days until Ye Jiao tells me and watch a good show."

"Good show?"

"Wei Family and Imperial Family's days are numbered now," Mu Xin explained. "With her ability to use Eon Energy, I'm sure that she'll be the one to bring them to their doom."

"Their days are numbered? I like this phrase," Lu Wan had to agree. Even just now, the incident was fueled by Ye Jiao because of her interference. He was sure that there won't be any peace once Ye Jiao decided to go full spree. 

Looking at the calm Mu Xin, Lu Wan found it hard to read the young woman's expression. She seemed to be covered in a layer of frost that made it difficult for one to understand her. However, there was a hint of relief and pride in Mu Xin's tone when she spoke just now. 

"You sound awfully confident in her," Lu Wan remarked. 

"Of course, she's my little sister," Mu Xin stated the fact once again. There was a hint of pride on her eyes when she said that. Even though Ye Jiao was still an unknown person in the world, Mu Xin was confident that her little sister would be extraordinary. "I'll be going first. Thank you, Lu Wan."

"Your welcome," Lu Wan replied. He thought about what Mu Xin said and smiled to himself. Well, he was also certain that the little la.s.s would bring them into their doom. If someone asks why, he could just say: 'She's my junior sister.'
