"It seems that this is the first part instead," Ye Jiao opened the book and started reading. She stopped for a moment when she sensed Eon Energy pulling her from behind. Her brows were creased. She stared at the young man before her.

"Sit down," Qin Zheng said in an authoritative tone.

Ye Jiao frowned. "I'm fine with standing up."

"Do you want to start learning while standing up?"

"Fine."

She pulled a chair and finished reading. Thanks to her current rank, it was easy for her to memorize the entire book. With just little help, she was able to connect the method from the first part to the second part of the book.

"It's amazing."

"My turn," Qin Zheng took the book and started reading it. On the other hand, Ye Jiao pondered on what she had read.

The content of the book was similar to the t.i.tle it suggested. It was a secret manual that allowed the one who practiced it to change their body shape in order to disguise themselves to someone else. They could use makeup, but with this skill, it would be easier for them to move around without the need to worry.

This skill let them change their skin color to their bone shape. It was a step by step learning because there was a slow method, but with this skill someone could turn into a completely different person in just a matter of minutes.

It was truly a convenient skill.

However, the method one needed to train it was not easy. Ye Jiao started to control her Eon Energy inside her body as the young man also finished reading. Qin Zheng directly started training too.

The room stayed quiet for a couple of hours.

The two children were completely focused on their Eon Energy as the skill relied completely on their use inside their body. At times, there would be m.u.f.fled groan because of their failed attempt, but hours pa.s.sed swiftly inside the room. Neither one of the two tried to disturb one another as they focused on their training.

It was not easy to directly affect them because of the complicated layer underneath the skin.

His words just made Ye Jiao surprised. She was quite sure that they were nothing more than strangers that made a deal in the forest. Well, they did talk to each other a lot over the past few days, but it shouldn't make them that close.

Whatever, he could be considered as her acquaintances too.

The two of them headed down to the restaurant place. They just ordered some fish dishes because Chi Kingdom was famous for them. After all, the lake was known to be the place for fishes and many of them were imported to every area around the kingdom.

"Fish soup, fried fish, and what's this?" Ye Jiao muttered the food's name as she looked at the last one. It looked strange because it looked like raw fish. Did the restaurant make a mistake?

"It's fish meat," Qin Zheng took one of them using chopsticks. "Fresh fish meat can be eaten raw."

"Really? This is the first time I heard it."

"It's not uncommon for people who live near the lake, river, or sea, but it might not be for you. If you don't want them, you can leave it to me."

"How rude! I'll eat it."

Ye Jiao tried to take it as she could feel the saltiness from the soft meat. It felt chewy and tasty, so she didn't hesitate to take more to her plate. In front of her, Qin Zheng also ate unhurriedly.

They were just about to finish their meal when a group of people walked in.

"Hey, inn owner, may I take these people's attention for a moment?"

The inn owner looked surprised, but he nodded his head. Looking at the group of men equipped with weapons, no one seemed to be willing to contradict them.

The man smiled and looked around him. "Everyone, let me take your time for a bit. I'm from Fire Mercenary, we're here to recruit more people for an expedition to Spring Island. I'm sure all of you have heard of Spring Island, right?"

Most of the people nodded while Ye Jiao was confused.
