The two of them entered the bustling street as Ye Jiao watched her surroundings in excitement. There was still some worry in her heart, but she was glad to see that no one paid any attention to them. Even though Mu Xin was quite famous because of her father, she herself rarely went out. This made it rare for people to recognize her.

"Are we going to the market?" Ye Jiao asked curiously.

Mu Xin nodded. "I promised Jun Ge that I'll buy him a belt."

"Belt?"

Hearing the confused tone, Mu Xin thought for a moment. "This annoying man is going to leave the kingdom, so I'm going to give him an item to make sure that he won't forget me."

w.a.n.g Jun smiled wryly. "Miss Mu, there's no way I can forget a beautiful lady like you."

Mu Xin didn't reply and strode into a nearby stand. Her cold aura started to come out of her body, making the owner stiff in fear.

"Jun Ge," Ye Jiao suddenly called.

"Yes?"

"Where are you going?"

w.a.n.g Jun paused for a moment. He smiled warmly. "I'm just going to an academy because I got accepted not long ago."

"Really?" Ye Jiao's eyes glimmered in astonishment.

"Yes. I reached rank 3 a few months ago then I took the test. The teacher is General Mu's friend, so he came here personally to allow me to bid my farewell to the two of them," w.a.n.g Jun explained.

From the way he said it, Ye Jiao has the feeling that getting into the academy would make him unable to return here anymore. Shouldn't they be able to visit one another in the future if they wanted to?

"Can't you make a visit in the future?"

"I can," w.a.n.g Jun replied. "But I don't know how long it'll take."

Ye Jiao looked at the longing on the man's expression as she silently looked away. She saw that Mu Xin had returned with a brown leather belt on her hand. From his sparkling eyes, Ye Jiao knew that this man was satisfied with the present she had prepared.

"This is for you, Jun Ge," Mu Xin handed the belt. "Let's go back before your new teacher starts nagging my father for his missing disciple."

"I'm not missing, Miss Mu."

"It's the same."

Ye Jiao blinked several times as she watched the two interacted. In the past, the two of them were polite to one another with some banter at times, but now it seemed as if the two of them had discarded courtesy to the back of their mind.

Did she miss something?

Even though she was not totally sure, Ye Jiao felt that there was something she missed during the past nine to ten months. Trying not to think too much, she jogged to their direction.
