Legacy Of Forgotten Times 141 What's The Plan?

Linri walked into Hayato's room. The curtains were closed so it was pretty dark inside. The only source of light was the computer screen... basically a hacker's room you can see in movies. Gosh, can this guy be any more cliché?

"So what's the deal?" Hayato asked. He didn't even look at Linri's way.

Linri sat on the bed before speaking.

"Well... It's another heist but this time we are going to steal information instead of a person. You interested?"

"Depends on how much you are going to pay."

"Hayato Hayato Hayato. You little naive guy. Do you actually think I will pay you in cash?" Linri said with a smirk.

"Okay. Then let me rephrase that, is the information you are offering worth it?"

"From my perspective it is. After all, you wouldn't want to die before knowing what killed you right? Also, take my hint about Zero's attack as front payment. Now, are you interested?"

"Shoot"

"The job is breaking into Ms Snow's room and steal all the data on her computer. The payment is the date of the next attack on the school."

Hayato lifted his head and looked at him. He looked doubtful.

"Do you really need my help for something so simple? I can probably break into her computer from here."

"Nope, the data you can access from here would only be the surface stuff. I am not interested in those. As you know Ms Snow is the leading genius of our time. Don't you think she would hide more sensitive stuff in a closed server?"

"Makes sense. So what is it that you want to learn from her? Do you just want to steal all her inventions and sell it on the deep web or are you searching for something specific?"

"You know me better than that. Of course, I am searching for something specific. If you agree now I can pay you upfront and fill you in on the details"

Hayato thought for a second before sighing.

"Okay, so when is the next attack?"

"Haha, I knew you couldn't resist. The next attack is going to be Monday. If my sources aren't wrong Ms Snow has planted a nuclear bomb under the school and she plans to make students fight each other to death. I don't know the exact details of what kind of events she is planning but unless someone clears her little game she is serious about blowing the school to bits."

"You serious?"

"When have I ever lied to you... except all the other times I have lied but this time I am serious. Honestly, I can't see how that woman's mind works. She is scary even for me."

"Does your plan have anything to do with that? Is that why you want to break in? Just to steal her plans and stopping her."

"Pfft, good joke. No, one of my sources informed me that she might be a member of the Renegades and I want to confirm it. Even though my sources are very reliable that accusation is too big for me to believe blindly. That's why we have to break into her room to find evidence."

"Renegades? Never heard of them"

"Well, if you want to learn about them I can tell you about it but it's gonna burn a hole in your pocket"

"How much?"

Linri raised five fingers.

"Okay I am wiring 50 million Yoki to your account so tell me about them."

Linri was surprised he just wanted five million. Why do people in this world throw money around like it was nothing? Was there something wrong with their sense of value or was he just selling the info too cheap?

"*Ahem* They are a secret underground organisation consisting of only ability holders. They believe in supremacy and want to make the ability holders rulers of the world. Their members are unknown. Currently, I don't think there is anyone in the world that knows about them except for me. They are newly founded so at first, I thought they were just some little terrorist group hence I didn't pay much attention to them. However, things have changed. Zero, the guy who attacked our school, is an apostle of the G.o.ds. He received a divine revelation saying that in the future Renegades were going to rule the world and he was ordered to kill every ability holder in order to stop that. The only lead I have on them is Ms Snow so we can't waste this opportunity."

"Interesting. So you plan on eradicating them when they are till weak?"

"No? Why would I? You and I are ability holders so even if they really rule the world in the future it wouldn't affect us. Heck, we might even benefit from that but I have no interest in making an enemy of the Church of the Sun either. So I need to gather information about them to make a choice. If I believe they are going to win despite the early warning from the G.o.ds I will join them. But if they seem to be losing I don't mind becoming their enemy either." Linri explained his thought process.

"Makes sense. So how are we going to do this?" Hayato seemed like he was agreeing with Linri. He was brought up in the b.l.o.o.d.y battlefields so he didn't care much about normal people. Even the people who wanted to use them were normal people so he wouldn't care even if all the mortal were eradicated. Honestly, this was how most of the ability holders thought. They only cared about their own strength and didn't care if mortals lived or not. Some of the more greedy ones were even ruling countries from the background. That was just how the world was. If you weren't strong enough you can only be the puppet of another.

"We need Selim again. Can you handle that?"

"Sure"

"Okay if Selim agrees here is the plan" then Linri explained Hayato his plan and he didn't seem to have any qualms about it. Obviously, it wasn't a perfect plan but it was better than not having one at all.

Once both of them fixed out the c.h.i.n.ks of the plan Linri left the room. He was honestly having a headache. Something like this didn't happen in the club. No one would dare go into Ms Snow's room. Most importantly Luxor had only hinted that Ms Snow might be a member. There wasn't any certainty in it and he might very well be trolling them. If there was a person better than Linri at pus.h.i.+ng other people's b.u.t.tons that would be Luxor. He was basically the public enemy number one in the club so Linri wouldn't be surprised if he really trolled them.

Anyway, that wasn't something he needed to worry about now. The future Linri could handle that. Right now he needed to focus on other things. Like making TBB the main personality of his body for example.

Linri walked to room 312. On the door there two nameplates; Drake Pukis and Luciel O'Astara. He knocked on the door and a girl with long blond hair opened the door. She had emerald green eyes and a little mole right under her lip which gave her a mischievous look.

"h.e.l.lo?" she said.

"Hi, my name is Linri. Is Drake inside? I need to talk to him."

"Yeah sure. I am Luciel a senior."

"Nice to meet you."

She was Drake's roommate. Yes, before you remind me there are no co-ed rooms in this dorm. So that would make her a man but she wasn't. In other words, she wasn't a trap. Still, that didn't mean she was a woman either. How to put it, basically she didn't have a gender. Basically, Riviette; the person who created Luciel, didn't know whether to create a male or a female character so she solved this problem by making her both.

Linri didn't remember all the details but for some reason when she was a child Luciel went through a gender ident.i.ty crisis and that manifested as her secondary power [Involuntary Genderbending]. So Luciel would change genders depending on the clothes she wore. If she wore female clothing, she would become a trap. If she wore male clothing, she would become a male. So yeah. No matter what she wore she would be the opposite. Basically, think of her as the Kinos.h.i.+ta siblings combined from Baka to test anime. If she wore male clothing she would become Hideyos.h.i.+. If she wore female clothing then she would become Himeji. That was the reason why Linri liked calling her a 'she'. If Luciel looked cute no matter what she wore then why not just call her a woman. At least that was the thought process behind his decision.

"Hey, pretty boy" Linri called Drake who was listening to music.

"What did you call- Oh, it's you," said Drake. He was going to get angry at first but stopped when he noticed it was Linri. Normally he was a pretty headstrong guy and look for trouble whenever he got the chance but he didn't want to mess with Linri since he knew about Drake's secret.
