Linri literally facepalmed. He had thought wearing a butler uniform was embarra.s.sing and now he was in a maid uniform. He became as red as a tomato. He felt like a pervert. He so wanted to hit Richard and strangle him.

"NO! There is no blood! Now give me back my clothes!" Linri shouted in anger.

"Phew, for a second there I was questioning what kind of a pervert you are. Who would ask their teacher to wear a maid uniform? You are a weird little man" said Richard and snapped his fingers again. The room was covered in darkness once more and then they returned back to their old clothes.

"You- You!" Linri was gritting his teeth but then he slowly took a deep breath and relaxed.

"Anyway, you know Drake right? I heard you were good friends with his parents?"

"Yeah? What about it?"

"Well, do you want to hear a great conspiracy?"

"Sure! With the Old Man James gone I was getting bored anyway. So what is this one about? Aliens? Demons? Genetic modification? The moon is actually a monster egg? Government brainwas.h.i.+ng program? No, wait that one was real... what were we talking about again?" Linri heard a dangerous sentence but he decided to let that one slide. He had more pressing matters.

"Church of the Sun brainwas.h.i.+ng Drake to make him a sleeper agent," Richard squinted his eyes. The air around him had changed but he was still wearing that goofy smile of his.

"Do go on. I am intrigued."

"I won't go into details but he has been brainwashed twice now. The first time created sub-personalities while the second one erased all his previous memories. The second one was to fix the first one but it didn't work either. I have found the keyword they used to trigger his personality changes so now I need help from someone good at human psychology to lift it. I was thinking about Ms Valerie but considering she is a Kitsune I wasn't sure. So does she know who I am? If not what did you write in my doc.u.ment to hide my ident.i.ty? I need to know before asking for her help."

"That was all? No worries then! She is also an exile like you guys so she knows who you are. But is that all? Are you sure that they were involved in this? Actually, we have a student from there. How about we listen to what he has to say first?" Richard then used his intercom to tell his secretary something.

"Actually I don't we have to see him. If they really are involved who knows what those lunatics might do?" Linri tried to get up. He really didn't want to meet that student. It should suffice to say that he was the second most person he hated in the club just slightly behind Luxor.

"Why? He might know something?" said Drake clearly unaware that Linri wanted to leave.

"He is right you know," said Richard with a mischievous smile. He had caught onto the fact that Linri was uncomfortable so there was no way that he was going to let him leave now.

A couple of minutes later there was a knock on the door.

"Praise the Sun!" A guy with bright red hair walked into the room. He was wearing a white sleeveless s.h.i.+rt and had a purple tie around his neck. On his arms, there was a pair of bright gold gauntlets and on his feet, there were a bright gold pair of s.h.i.+ns. They seemed like part of a set. This was Rondo, m.u.f.fin's narcissistic paladin in-training. Also one of the two transmigrators he hadn't met yet.

"Princ.i.p.al why have you requested my handsome self today? Could it be that you missed my handsome visage?" Linri literally s.h.i.+vered. That was so cringey. He couldn't deny that he himself had narcissistic tendencies but it wasn't this bad!

"No, you little monkey. I heard some disturbing news and wanted to ask what you know about it. What do you know about the inner workings of your church?"

"Sure you are joking. Where can you find a monkey that is as glorious as me?"

Linri finally couldn't hold it in and joined the conversation.

"Stop stalling and answer your narcissistic b.a.s.t.a.r.d!"

"Oh, this is-"

"No need to answer princ.i.p.al, I know who he is. Linri Harclaw, it's your honour to meet the glorious me. Rejoice," Linri wanted to throw up. The original m.u.f.fin was an a.s.shole but this version really made him want to throw up.

"Yes yes yes Praise the Sun bla bla. Answer the G.o.dd.a.m.n question!"

"This glorious one didn't bother to learn about that boring stuff so unfortunately, I have no idea"

Richard squinted his eyes. He was having doubts about Rondo's statement but seeing Linri's disgusted expression it felt like he didn't summon him in vain.

"Is that so? You can leave now"

"Praise the Sun! May the light guide you on your journey. This glorious one will now take his leave" said Rondo. Before taking his leave he gave a brief look to Linri. He had an indescribable expression. Linri, on the other hand, was barely holding himself from getting up and tearing that guy apart.

Wait why did he feel this way? Yeah sure, he didn't like m.u.f.fin and he absolutely loathed Rondo's narcissism but he didn't hate him enough to kill him. Was he becoming too irritable? Was it because of OG Linri's personality again? Ugh, he was becoming weirder with each pa.s.sing day. He felt like a complete stranger compared to his past self. Could he still call himself Max if he returned to his original world? That was a disturbing thought that was for sure.

"Now that it's over we are going to take our leave old pervert. By the way, I heard that there is a new maid cafe opened up in Akiba. If you want to look at pretty ladies you might want to visit there. See ya"

Linri and Drake were sitting in Ms Valerie's room drinking tea.

"So what brings you here little cub?" Ms Valerie asked after taking a sip out of her tea. The way she licked her lips after each sip seemed so seductive.

"Oh, right! Anyway, I wanted to your help with lifting this guy's brainwas.h.i.+ng" he said while pointing at Drake who was still looking at Ms Valerie in a daze. Unlike Linri who had Kitsune blood in him, he was a part dragon who were known to like pretty things. So he was extremely susceptible to a Kitsune's charm. Maybe even Linri himself could charm him if he tried but the idea itself made him uncomfortable.

Ms Valerie looked at Drake up and down but she didn't find anything wrong with him.

"I don't see it, are you sure he was brainwashed?"

"Yes, I am sure but I don't think he was brainwashed magically, it should be a normal one. You can lift that up, no?"

"Hmm, that's going to be harder than one made with magic. You have to know the keyword to lift the lock they put in his brain so unless you can find it I am sorry but I can't help you"

"That is the easy part. I know the word they use to trigger a personality change in him. I think that should suffice"

"You do? Hmm, it might be worth a try but we can't be too sure. If they used a different word for the lock we might destroy his consciousness. The good thing is the lock would be lifted but his previous memories would be destroyed. Do you still want to go through with it?"

"Wait what destroyed?" Drake came out of his daze when he heard these dangerous words.

"Yes, you didn't think it would be easy did you?"

Now that was a turn of events. He pretty much wanted to try this but he didn't want to put Ai's memories in danger. They never met IRL but he was one of the few people he considered close to him. Just remembering the days they fought with each other to get Ravii's attention was enough to put a smile on Linri's face. I guess they should call this off. Maybe his mother could find a way to lift it magically. Just because Valerie was helpless didn't mean-

"I already don't have my memories before 3 months ago so what do I have to lose?"

What Drake said was extremely logical however the one in danger here was TBB not you! How can he explain it to him? If he couldn't give a proper explanation, the relations.h.i.+p he built with Drake would be lost and he wouldn't be able to convince him even if he finds the right way to lift this. In the first place, he wasn't 100% sure that this was the source of the problem either. That was just a concept TBB had in mind so what if something went wrong. What if he had multiple personalities because of a different reason?

"Yes, Mistress," said the little boy dressed in traditional Hanawanese clothing. He didn't remember his name but that little boy should be Valerie's primary ability [Living Weapon]. The name was pretty self-explanatory. He was a weapon that can transform into a human form along with myriads of other weapon transformations.

"Hold up a minute! Are you sure? If this goes wrong you won't be yourself anymore?" Linri tried to dissuade Drake but it didn't seem to affect him much.

"Yes, I am sure," said Drake with resolution in his eyes. You f.u.c.king idiot! This wasn't time to be resolute! This was time to act scared so that Linri convince him to back out. Ugh, he was having a headache. If he accidentally destroys TBB's memories Jaime would kill him. His stomach started to hurt. This was too much pressure... you know what? This wasn't his problem. That b.a.s.t.a.r.d Future Linri could handle the aftermath. Now he was going to enjoy his tea and relax. This had nothing to do with him. Yes, sir!
