"So, what you are telling me is; the girl you loved and your childhood friend died just because you became a Sovereign of Darkness? Did I get that right?" Linri asked in a questioning tone.

"Yes"

"And, you blame yourself for their deaths?"

"True"

"NO f.u.c.kING WAY! I don't believe that story one bit! You portrayed yourself like a saint! There is no way the pervert I know would be like that!"

"I became a pervert afterwards..."

"So you would kill your own students for him?"

"Definitely"

Linri heaved a deep sigh. He wanted to strangle this idiot. He still did not believe his story but even if he did he could not understand Richard. From his perspective Dumbledoor was right. The sooner Leon had accepted the reality of his situation the better it would have been for him. Instead because of his fragile ego, Leon had caused the death of his friend and himself. 

"Wait, you said you went to a mage school named Hogwash, right? What happened to it? Does it still exist?"

"It should be but I haven't talked to those guys in ages. They are all stuck up and don't fit my style" 

"f.u.c.k YOUR STYLE! You just admitted that you would kill me for a 'dead' friend"

"No, I didn't say that!"

"Then what? Are you going to ignore Leon when he comes to ask help from you? Listen to me, that guy is not your friend. He only wants to destroy everything you hold dear as revenge. He blames you for his death just like you blame yourself. Don't trust him and especially DONT f.u.c.kING KILL YOUR STUDENTS!"

"I-"

"No buts! f.u.c.k that guy! Don't forget he is the reason your girlfriend died. He is the one that took your happy life away from you"

Richard did not answer him but just stayed silent. Linri literally wanted to strangle him right now. How could he be so selfish or rather selfless? Know your f.u.c.king role! You are supposed to be the fun old pervert, not some f.u.c.king marauder for your friend! Linri swore to G.o.d that he didn't understand this main character types. Can't you just be a little selfish and stab your friends in the back?

"Okay! We are going to do it like this. If you dare to work together with Leon I will kill myself. I don't even need to do that since you will kill me but still. My blood will be on your hands. If you don't want me to die don't listen to him. Otherwise, you know the consequences. I can't waste any more time on you" Since Richard refused to see the most logical conclusion of s.c.r.e.w.i.n.g Leon, he decided to threaten him with his own life. He still did not know the reason but Richard seemed to care for him and he was going to stop him this way. If this also didn't work sorry Richard but Linri had to kill you. 

"Then you are going to seek help from your parents!" Richard responded his ultimatum with one of his own.

"NO f.u.c.kING WAY! I am destined to die and nothing can change that. I don't want my parents to feel anxious about me. How can they even help me anyway? So what if my mom is a genius like you claimed? Can she even fix this? Do you honestly believe that?" 

"Yes, I do!"

Now it was Linri's turn to feel complicated. He didn't want to go through his evolution yet. His [Ex-Burst] hadn't even appeared let alone messing up the timeline. 

"How about, you don't work with Leon and if I am still alive after that event I will go to seek help from my parents? I should still have time after his attack and that way I would also make sure you wouldn't do something crazy in my absence and join sides with him?"

"Then why don't I just go together with you? It has been some time since I last saw my star pupil and that way you wouldn't have to risk your life?"

"Ugh, but without me who is going to stop's Leon's fire form? According to the future I saw, I manipulate his own flames and kill him with that"

"What's that now?"

When he heard Richard's question Linri remembered the talk about Sovereigns and how they could control their respective elements fully, including their enemies. Linri had to admit that it sounded pretty similar to his [Ice/Fire Manipulation] ability. Still, unlike a proper mage, Linri knew that it was because of the G.o.ds' powers and he would lose it when he completely a.s.similates their powers and make them his own.

"Yeah, well, I kinda can manipulate Ice and Fire just like the Sovereigns you described but I think it has to do with G.o.ds' powers and not something I possess naturally"

Richard then grabbed Linri by the shoulders excitedly.

"And you took this long to tell me about it! Also, we can't be sure what if you are not also a Sovereign like me?"

"How the f.u.c.k was I supposed to know that? I wasn't raised as a mage remember? Only things about supernatural I know comes from this school. If you are going to blame me for not saying, I am going to blame your school's education. Shouldn't you guys teach about this stuff in cla.s.s? There is not even a proper magic course!"

"That's because our magic teacher hasn't arrived yet. Tell me what's the extent of your powers?"

"Well, in the day I can control fire and use it however I want, be it my enemies or my allies and in the night vice versa for ice? I don't even know what else I can do. Haven't had these powers for long remember?"

"Right, right, right, right. What about elemental Prana? Can you feel it? Do you have a feeling like it welcomes you? Can you consume normal fire to refill your prana reserves?"

"I don't know! I haven't tried it yet! Now let me go and stop shaking me for G.o.d's sake!"

Richard let go of Linri and tried to regain his bearings.

"My mistake. Okay, how about we test it now? Create a fireball and then absorb it back into your body. I will guide you along the way. First, sit cross-legged on the ground like me"

"We don't have time. We need to stop the bomb first!" Linri made up an excuse since he knew it wasn't going to work. There was not a single person in the world who knew what he could and could not do than him. He created these powers for f.u.c.k's sake! So he didn't want to waste his time doing something like this.

"We have time. The door is still closed. Now stop your yapping and sit on the ground"

"Fine" Linri said since he couldn't find any other excuse. They were waiting for others to arrive before the event starts anyway. He just needed to copy and then say it didn't work and that was it.

"What now oh great teacher? Are you going to instruct me on the mysterious ways of casting magic?" Linri said sarcastically and suddenly he felt something hit him on the back of the head. He turned around and there was nothing there. It must have been that b.a.s.t.a.r.d, Richard. He was trying to save his life and this was the thanks he got? Just you wait. The moment Linri became stronger than you he was going to pay this back ten folds.

"Do you know the chant for Fireball? If not I can teach you"

"No need. I have been able to cast that spell from the moment I made that deal with the G.o.ds. I don't even need to do something as stupid as chanting. See?"

[Fire Ball]

Linri showed his fireball skill to Richard. He was honestly sceptical if he could even cast magic. He didn't know the whole deal about roots or whatnot since they weren't mentioned in the club a single time before. That meant he shouldn't possess any of that stuff. His powers first came from the G.o.ds and after his evolution came from his woxen bloodline. Basically, he did not have the ability to cast any magic at all. Then Linri saw his fireball get engulfed in darkness and suddenly disappear.

"That is not a true Fireball spell. It should be the racial [Fox Fire] ability of your Kitsune bloodline. It is also a little bit of weird since it's not blue like the traditional ones but you haven't awakened yet so don't worry. After you get proficient enough you won't have to say this out loud and can just chant in your mind but since you are a newbie repeat after me aloud. O'great spirits of fire, heed my call and incinerate my enemies, Fire Ball!"

"Do I have to?" then Linri was. .h.i.t in the back of the head again. This was f.u.c.king abuse! He was abusing him! Did he have to repeat that embarra.s.sing stuff for real? f.u.c.k you!

"O' great spirits of fire, heed my call and incinerate my enemies, Fire Ball" Linri mumbled the chant reluctantly when a bright fireball materialised in front of him. He was scared s.h.i.+tless. Then because he lost his concentration the fireball disappeared. He felt another hit on the back of his head.

"Stop f.u.c.king hitting me you pervert!"

"Then do it correctly, you snot-nosed evil brat!" 

Okay, the easy-going Richard suddenly became scary again. He had better keep his silence. He might not mind the pain but it certainly did not feel good to be hit over and over again on his head. He could swear that there was a little b.u.mp on that spot now. 

"O' great spirits of fire, heed my call and incinerate my enemies, Fire Ball!" this time Linri repeated the chant with more vigour. Honestly, this was kinda fun. Maybe he could also cast other spells. Didn't Richard say that anyone could cast basic spells of each element as long as they could manipulate prana?

"Now what do I do?" 

"Don't lose your concentration. Slowly close your eyes and try to feel the fire ball's location with your mind"

Linri did just that. Once he closed his eyes everything was dark aside from the light pa.s.sing through his eyelids thanks to the fireball spell. When he tried to move it the position of the spell changed and finally his vision was completely covered in darkness. When he concentrated really hard on the fireball it lit up in his mind like a really bright light bulb. 

"Now what?"

"Try to imagine that fireball as little particles of light and imagine them slowly sipping through your body"

When Linri tried that suddenly he stopped feeling the fireball. He opened his eyes but he was. .h.i.t in the back of the head.

"Again!"

*FWOOOSH*

The door in their room opened signalling the start of the second phase of The Game
