After thinking about his choices Linri made the most obvious decision based on his thoughts. He carried Rina with him. He might not like her but he also had a sweet spot for her. No, it was not because of her creator, nor was it because he was interested in her as the opposite gender. He didn't even like her personality. It was just that, the character she was based off was his favourite after accelerator and he always s.h.i.+pped her with Touma. All the other s.h.i.+ps were a lie. What? You don't agree? You can fight me if you want! RailgunXTouma all the way!

Anyway, Linri arrived in his next destination while carrying Rina. When he arrived in the room there were five other people there. Namely, Richard, Rondo, Jin, Ashley and lastly Riku. Linri was surprised to see him. He had not partic.i.p.ated in the original event as Phantom had used a different character at the time. Linri did not remember who it was but Riku was definitely not supposed to be here. That also included Richard and Ashley. Richard was supposed to be missing by now while he did not remember anything about Ashley in the first place.

Well, at the end of the day it didn't matter much. The last event was a fight to the death between every remaining partic.i.p.ant. It was one for all format where everyone would fight at the same time. Linri was obviously favoured in that format since he had lots of AoE attack options but Richard and Ashley were a mystery to him. Richard was OP as f.u.c.k while he did not know Ashley's ability. Meh, at the start of the event he could team up with the old pervert and eliminate everyone. Afterwards, he could convince him to just give up.

"I congratulate you all for making this far. Now, we are going to play one last game and the winner gains the right to request one thing from me. The instructions are uploaded to your watches" the mysterious voice spoke to them.

Linri checked his watch and he was baffled by the contents. Oi, oi, oi, oi! This was not how the event was supposed to go! You gotta be f.u.c.king kidding me!

---

Welcome to Witch Hunt!

During this game, all the players are divided into two factions. Namely the witches and townies. Townies' goal is to eradicate the witches from their town while Witches want to kill every townie and be the last one standing.

1- The game is divided into two phases; the day phase and the night phase

2- In the day phase, every player has the ability to cast a vote. They can either vote themselves or the other players.

3- At the end of the day phase he player with the most vote will be eliminated.

4- When a player is eliminated their role and alignment will be revealed.

5- In the case of a tie both players will be eliminated.

6- Every player is given a role with special abilities aside from their alignment (you can find the details of your role in your watch)

7- In the night phase, the Witches have the ability to kill a player. They also have a special chatroom they can access from their watches only during the night phase to talk with each other.

8- Players can only use their special abilities during the night phase unless it's stated otherwise.

9- Witches know each other's ident.i.ties while townies only know about their own alignments.

10- The players are not allowed to show their watches to the other players during the game. If another player learns their role this way, the one whose role has been uncovered will be eliminated.

The Day 1 Start!

Linri carefully read the rules. He had never played this game before but it sounded like the Werewolf game he played with his friends during one of the parties he went. After making sure that he didn't miss anything in the rules he hastily checked his own role.

---

Linri Harclaw The Commuter

Faction: The Town

Ability: Safe Haven

During the night phase, you can designate one player and have a private chat room to talk with them. During this process, the targeted player will not be aware of your ident.i.ty.

---

That was it? Linri started to bite his nail in frustration. He expected something more useful than that. His only ability was to talk with others during the night phase but he didn't know about their alignments. The only saving grace of the ability was the fact that his ident.i.ty would not be revealed but what could he gain from something like that? What to do?

Linri stopped reading from his watch and gazed upon the other players. They were also looking at each other trying to guess who looked innocent and who looked guilty. Aside from Richard, all the other players were his enemies. No that was wrong! What if Richard was a witch? Then he would be trusting the wrong person. In this game, he could not trust anyone at all.

"Ugh"

Linri felt some movements on his back. It seemed like Rina was coming to herself. He laid her on the ground and started to slap her face... gently.

"Hey, hey. Before you start attacking listen to me. The next part of the event has started. Quickly read the rules" Linri said.

Rina still looked drowsy and her eyes were half-closed. Seeing that she was slowly coming to herself Linri immediately made his way towards Richard for protection. Who knew if this crazy girl would suddenly start attacking him with her lightning again.

"Hey, old man! What happened at your event. Why are there so many players from your side?" Linri asked the question that was bothering him. Yeah, maybe not everyone would be as ruthless as him to eliminate every other player partic.i.p.ating in the event but five? That sounded too much. Even without his involvement, Linri thought that two or three would be the max!

"Three players were eliminated in the first round because they bet all their antidotes and as for the other two, they lost because they didn't have enough antidotes to advance. Five seems to be the maximum number of players that could advance"

Really? There was a max cap on the number of players that could win? Linri did not know that. It wasn't something that happened in the original event either. Wait, he was getting distracted. That wasn't what he wanted to learn.

"I was asking about how they could cooperate so that all five of you could advance," Linri said as he rolled his eyes.

"I told them if they dared to betray I would kill them then and there," said Richard after squinting his eyes. A black aura engulfed him which made all the hair on Linri's body stand. So that was also a way to win the game. Huh, Linri found it ironic how the ways they found was completely opposite to each other. Linri's goal was to eliminate every other person so that there wouldn't be a chance of someone betraying him while Richard subdued them with sheer strength. The serious Richard was scary!

*Beep* *Beep*

Linri heard a notification from his watch. He raised his eyebrows. Was there a change in the rules because of Richard's words? However, when he looked at the watch his face made an ugly expression.

[Current Vote Tally]

Linri Harclaw (2) - Rondo, Jin

---

"Oi! What's this about?" Linri asked in anger.

"What does it look like? We are voting you so that you get eliminated" said Jin with sarcasm.

Okay, first of all, sarcasm was his thing! Secondly, if you wanted to get on my nerves, congratulations you managed to do that. As one certain green giant said; you are making me angry and you wouldn't like me when I am angry.

"Is that so? Then what's this about? You can't possibly think I am a witch. I haven't done anything suspicious or out of ordinary. If you are doing this for a private reason, let me remind you that the whole fate of the school is laying on our shoulders and what you are doing would only help the real witches... Then what if this was a vote to get a reaction out of me? That's possible but for that, only a single vote would have been enough but you actually voted me twice. That's also weird in itself. In this game, no one can trust each other aside from the two witches. So how is it possible that the two of you come to such a quick decision in voting me? At the same time no less so it's no doubt planned and you can't just say it was a coincidence. Tell me, how can you trust each other while the whole point of the game is to doubt?"

Linri made a sound argument. This was the only thing he could do. He was not sure of Richard's alignment just yet but at least he could be sure that he wouldn't want him to die on the first day and would help him. Actually, in this scenario, it would even be better if he was a witch. That way Linri would get the help of another person too. He would only need one more vote to secure he wouldn't be lynched but who could be his target? Since Rina was out of commission and might have a grudge with him that only left our dear little protagonist Riku!
