Jaime watched the back and forth between Leon and the Autumnfall residents while drowning in sorrow. She had thought that maybe being transmigrated into this world would be her second chance. She finally would not need to watch others from behind.

However, this was no fairytale. There were no good endings for her: she was still the same weak, ugly Alina. This reality was not easy for her to accept. She still wanted to break out of her sh.e.l.l. She didn't want to be a background character anymore!

*Drip* *Drip* *Drip* *Drip*

The falling rain certainly did not help lighten her mood either. As Jaime was watching the fight with complicated feelings, she noticed something weird. Ms. Snow's expression had changed and she left the fight without others noticing her.

This was certainly weird. Why did she suddenly decide to run away? She was one of the strongest people in the school and just now she was dominating Leon. What reason could there be that she would escape?

Jaime tried to search for Kris amongst the fighters. He had the secondary ability [Quantum Brain], so he should have noticed something. However, when Jaime found him, she was displeased: he seemed ecstatic. He was only thinking about attacking Leon and nothing else. He wasn't even using his [Ethereal s.h.i.+eld] to protect the other students.

Jaime became infuriated. Did he perhaps think that this was a game? He would get loot if he dealt the highest DPS? Ugh, she should have never expected anything from him.

*Tremble*

Jaime felt a faint tremble from the ground. It was hard to feel due to the rain, but she could swear that the ground was shaking. In order to make sure it wasn't her imaginationm she kneeled down and touched the muddy ground.

*Tremble*

Yes, the ground was certainly trembling and it was getting stronger by the second. Maybe this had something to do with one of the students' ability? Well, obviously that would be the best-case scenario.

However, coupled with the fact that Ms. Snow decided to fall back, she was dubious whether that was the case. Leon should be getting ready for a big attack and this might be a sign of that.

In Autumnfall RP club, there was a rule. The stronger your attack was, the more time should your opponent have time to respond. Let's take Rina as an example: her [Ex- Burst: Lightning Railgun] was an amazing ability.

She could fire an electric beam at [5x Uber Speed] dealing [5x Uber Strength] of damage. That's why she needed to charge her attack for 15 seconds, which equalled to about one post in the club. Meaning she could only charge her attack as an action and she couldn't do anything else.

There were other examples: let's say you have an ability to create perfect illusion clones of yourself. Wrong, you can't create perfect clones to confuse your opponent. You can make them 99% similar and give them one flaw so that your opponent can differentiate which one was the real one.

So, if this tremor on the ground was a sign of Leon's attack, it must be something big. The tremors on the ground were getting stronger by the second and no one was noticing anything due to the heat of the battle.

Maybe aside from Ms. Snow, Jaime was the only person aware that he was doing something big. Should she warn them? Obviously she should, but how? They were too busy to notice her shouting. Even if they notice her, it was dubious whether they would be able to hear what she said.

Then was she just supposed to wait here and watch them get hurt? Maybe she should. Maybe Kasumi and Kris deserved his for looking down on her. Maybe this was deserved justice. If they were not drunk on battle, it shouldn't have been hard for them to notice it.

... However, if she did that, she would be even worse than them. The option left was to dash to the battleground and warn them individually. Yes, this way they wouldn't think she was worthless anymore.

Now that she made her decision, Jaime dashed through the battleground with [3x Superior Speed] and dodging the attacks coming towards her with [3x Superior Agility]. That was when Leon used [Flame Wave].

This was an attack he used periodically. In game terms, he was spamming it as soon as it came off cool down.

[Silver Sword First Form: Ame o Kiru]

Jaime continued to dodge attacks and for those she couldn't, she cut them apart. This really took a toll on her stamina. It was hard just moving through the battlefield: she could not imagine how hard would it be if she had to fight herself.

She finally arrived next to Kris. She didn't think about anything else and just turned him towards herself.

"Leon is planning something big, but I don't know what!" she said without giving him an opportunity to speak.

*Tremble* *Tremble* *Tremble* *Tremble*

However, it was too late! The tremors became so strong that some people were having a hard time standing up.

Thanks to her agility, Jaime did not fall down and, from her position, she could see the battlefield clearly. Leon had an arrogant expression on his face. He looked at them as if he already won.

A cone started to grow out of the ground. It became so big that it looked like a mini-mountain. Oh no! Jaime could see what was about to happen next.

The peak of the mini-mountain burst open and lava started to flow down. Then, after another burst, fire started to rain from the sky!

[Gaia's Wrath]!

The volcanic fumes dispersed the rain clouds, so the people on the battlefield stopped getting healed. What came next was the rain of fire. It was so scary. Lava was raining from the sky and Jaime could hear miserable cries all around her.

She was not spared either. She could see a big block of lava was heading towards her. However, that didn't mean she was afraid. She could feel her sword screaming in excitement. Jaime took her sword stance and got ready to cut down the lava right in the middle.

"Get down!" Kris tackled Jaime and held her in his embrace.

[Ethereal s.h.i.+eld] X 5!

Five purple energy s.h.i.+elds stacked on top of each other to protect Kris and Jaime. Still, that didn't mean it was enough to stand against the [Gaia's Wrath]! The falling lava burst right through the s.h.i.+elds and hit Kris in the back!
