Legacy Of Forgotten Times 68 Are You... Manipulating Me?

After the phone call was over Linri was greeted with the ice cold gaze of Jaime.

"So-" Linri was suddenly cut short by Jaime. Seemed like she did not have any intention to listen to him.

"No!" Her reaction was understandable since she was next to him while talking on the phone.

"How ab-" He was once again cut short by Jaime.

"I said No!" Linri wondered for a second there if she was so adamant about not taking a picture why was she still in his room.

"No, it is then but are you at least gonna let me talk." He was getting a headache from this. He really should have picked a better time to make the call instead of calling in the middle of the night.

"Fine, you may speak." Jaime tone sounded domineering like a Queen ordering her subject but instead of intimidating him, it made him laugh.

"Yes, your majesty! I was actually going to ask you to the pool tomorrow. You said it yourself I need to let loose a little. What better way than going to the pool? We can also call Brie too, she must have felt stuffed staying at the orphanage whole summer." Even a five-year-old could understand Linri's real intention for asking her to the pool. She was about to refuse him again when a thought suddenly came to her head.

"Then let's go to the pool tomorrow. You should know a place in London right?" Linri was surprised by her answer. What was going on? This is not how you negotiate! You first give an unreasonable demand and the next demand you give seems acceptable. He wanted to use this tactic but he succeeded just like that?

"You sure?" He had to double check in order to make sure he did not mishear her.

"Yeah, I am sure, make sure to get a waterproof camera though." She sounded serious but for some reason, he could not help but feel there was something going on.

"Wait wait wait! Are you really really sure? This is Richard we are talking about so you want him to have your picture in a bikini?" When he said it himself Linri noticed how ridiculous this sounded.

"I mean you are alright with so why shouldn't I be? You are okay with it right?" Jaime looked into Linri's eyes with her almond green eyes. Since she put it like that Linri suddenly felt reluctant to give any sort of pictures to Richard. When he thought that Richard would be looking at Jaime's fair skin and beautiful body only covered by a little piece of cloth, he felt reluctant. Wait!

"Are you... manipulating me?" Linri had a hard time making the words leave his mouth. Upon hearing him Jaime gave him a brilliant smile that made his heart miss a bit. What was going on?

"You tell me." Then she turned around and left the room. Upon exiting the room a smile appeared on her face again. She also seemed to blush a little.

'He is against, he is against it!'

Jaime went into her room while murmuring a sweet song. She was in an incredibly good mood right now.

Linri, however, was left confused, ever since the night they talked at the park... for the second time, Jaime was different, and he did not know how to make heads or tails of her new character. She was currently an unknown territory and this bothered. He was not able to tell what she was thinking at all. He kept on thinking about this stuff until well into the night.

In the morning Lyra had to force Linri out of the bed. He stayed too late that he was not able to get up on time for breakfast. This was something new for him. During the breakfast, he was basically a zombie. He even skipped training and went back to his room after he was done.

He was about to get back in bed and go back to sleep when Jaime suddenly opened the door to his room.

"Huh? You are still gonna sleep? Aren't we going to the pool?" Linri looked towards Jaime to see if she was serious. He had basically just got up who in the world goes to the pool 10 in the morning?

"You serious?" Jaime seemed confused.

"Of course I am serious! We still need to go buy a swimsuit for me and Brie. Change your clothes and let's go. You have exactly 5 minutes. I will be waiting downstairs." Jaime was just like a storm. She came in, gave orders and left the room in almost one breath.

On the other hand, this was troublesome, did she really need him there for buying swimsuits? Actually, he would even feel weird if he was there.

He did not know what to do so he decided that it would be better to sleep on it and let the future him handle this stuff so Linri got back in bed. He was not even able to catch a few Zs before Jaime came back again.

"You dare go back in the bed? Your Queen commands you to get up and wear these." Jaime threw a simple black t-s.h.i.+rt and black pants. Seeing him still laying in bed she got a gla.s.s of water and poured it on his head, instantly sobering up Linri.

At that moment Linri questioned his life choices. Just yesterday he was planning on breaking into a highly secure government facility but today he was being forced to go buy swimsuits. He wondered if he was already in h.e.l.l... or heaven maybe? Honestly, it depended on your personal preference. Some people might feel like this was heaven, he was going to help a world-cla.s.s beauty pick out swimsuits but not him. He liked to be in control but right now he was anything but in control.

He was confused and once Linri is confused his natural instinct is to avoid that thing altogether. In this instance, it was Jaime so he wanted to be as far away from her as possible.
