By virtue of the fact that Jing Yichen and Mu Qing had been friends for many years now, Mu Qing knew of Jing Yiran and was aware of his idiosyncrasies. Mu Qing was furious with Jing Yiran and cursed him for causing this chaos. That man was crazy. He didn’t care that Shangguan Ning’s life could be in danger. He simply lifted her and carried her out of the ward.

Jing Yiran would have to pay for this, in all likelihood, with his life. Jing Yichen would see to it that he made Jing Yiran suffer for this grave mistake.

“Master Jing, we must find Sister as soon as possible. She hasn’t recovered completely and will need medication soon. I can help you look for her. I’ll also carry her dose of medicines with me. I will administer it to her, when we have got hold of Jing Yiran.”

Mu Qing delegated his night s.h.i.+ft to another doctor and left with Jing Yichen immediately. They had no time to lose. Finding Shangguan Ning was the most important task, at the moment.

He couldn’t imagine how many people in A City would have to pay with their lives, if anything happened to her!

Jing Yichen hadn’t been this angry, in a very, very long time. Mu Qing had seen him get this annoyed ten years ago, when Tang Yun went missing.

The entire Police Force and Mafia of A City were pulled up, by Jing Yichen. Things had gotten so bad that members of the Mafia and Police force alike, s.h.i.+vered at the mere mention of Jing Yichen’s name.

Mu Qing hoped that there wouldn’t be a bloodbath, like there had been a decade ago. Although Jing Yichen never got along with his brother, things had never been this bad. This time Jing Yichen wouldn’t hesitate even for a minute, if he had a chance to kill Jing Yiran. Their father, Jing Zhongxiu loved both his sons equally. He was known to ignore their tiffs but he would definitely intervene if it were to become a matter of life and death.

Without saying a word, Jing Yichen ran out of the hospital.

Lee Duo and his team were waiting outside the hospital. After being briefed of the situation, they started to look for Shangguan Ning and Second Master.

Jing Yichen was very well connected. He had many sources who had eyes all over A city. He received information that Jing Yiran was spotted with Shangguan Ning, in his Black Maserati, not too far from where Jing Yichen currently was. They were a quarter of a mile away.

Jing Yichen accelerated his Aston Martin to its maximum possible speed and drove to where Shangguan Ning was reportedly seen. Mu Qing, who was with Jing Yichen, was scared for his life, but he knew that there was so stopping Yichen now.

Shangguan Ning, who kept gaining and losing consciousness, a.s.sumed that she was in Jing Yichen’s arms. She protested unhappily, “Go away. Don’t touch me. I don’t like you!”

Her face was pale because she was so unwell. Even when she was asleep, she looked so fragile and lovely. It was a pity that she wasn’t approachable whenever Jing Yiran met her.

Jing Yiran listened closely to what Shangguan Ning was trying to say. She spoke feebly and was hardly coherent.

Jing Yiran wondered if she was even aware that the man who held her was not Jing Yichen, but Jing Yiran. He didn’t know if what she had just said, was meant for Jing Yichen or himself.

Could it be that the relations.h.i.+p between Jing Yichen and Shangguan Ning, had already strained or was it just his imagination, playing tricks on him?

Jing Yiran smiled. He would find out soon.

He held Ning’s delicate hand and planted a kiss on it. Shangguan Ning tried to scratch him but could barely manage to do any damage.

Jing Yiran was bored of this already. He wanted Shangguan Ning to put up a fight. He wanted her to resist his advances. This was no fun.

Jing Yiran said to her, “Hey Beauty, wake up! I like my woman to be hot and wild. This lukewarm att.i.tude of yours isn’t helping. I’m already losing interest.”

Shangguan Ning forced her eyes open. She was sure that she was hallucinating. How could this be Jing Yiran? What was she doing in his arms?

That couldn’t have been possible. This must just be a bad dream otherwise there was no way she would even imagine herself being held by Jing Yiran.

Jing Yiran looked at Shangguan Ning and instantly knew what she was thinking. Furious, Jing Yiran spanked her hard.

“How dare you think of another man, when you’re in my arms?”

He sounded so intimidating and serious, as if Shangguan Ning were really his woman.

Shangguan Ning pushed him away, but it didn’t make a difference to Jing Yiran. Instead, his grasp over her got stronger. Ignoring her pain, she bit his arm, with whatever leftover strength she could muster.

Then she closed her eyes helplessly, waiting for his reaction.

She opened her eyes to look at him. His eyes were gleaming with excitement, instead of rage.

Shangguan Ning’s heart skipped a bit. She was more certain than ever, that this man in front of her was deranged.

Oblivious to the pain in his arm, Jing Yiran suddenly bent forward to kiss Shangguan Ning.

Shangguan Ning s.h.i.+elded her face with her palms, in panic. He ended up kissing her hand.

They two were seated in the back seat of his brand-new Maserati. The driver, who had been silent all this while, said to Jing Yiran courteously. “Second Master, we are here.”

“Where are you taking me?” Shangguan Ning felt extremely uncomfortable. Her entire body felt like it was on fire. She had no energy left to fight against Jing Yiran. She knew it was only a matter of time before she lost her consciousness again. Then she would be at the mercy of this dangerous man.

Jing Yiran carried her out of the car and didn’t answer her questions. “Why are you so light? Doesn’t Jing Yichen feed you well?”

“Let go off me! I can walk by myself!” Shangguan Ning struggled hard. She didn’t want him touching her.

Ignoring her behaviour, Jing Yiran replied soberly, “If you continue to protest, I will strip you naked and make pa.s.sionate love to you, right here on the street!”

Shangguan Ning stopped moving.

He was a crazy person. He was extremely capable of carrying out his threat.

She really hoped that Jing Yichen would somehow get there, as soon as possible. Just the fact that Jing YIran was touching her, was driving her crazy with rage.

She had no idea how she got here. The last thing she could recollect was taking some medicine and falling asleep – in her own bed, at home.

Also, she had agreed to having Lee Duo and his team, tracing her moves. She wondered where they were.

She felt as if a long time had pa.s.sed since she had seen Jing Yichen. Where was everyone??

Jing Yiran seemed to have read her mind. He said gleefully, “Don’t worry. No one can find you. You are mine tonight!”

Shangguan Ning’s heart sank when she saw him acting so strangely. What was up with him today?

The next thing she knew, Jing Yiran was carrying her into a bar. She was confused.

“What are we doing in a bar?” She asked him.

“Getting drunk and getting naughty!” – he replied.
