During the past few days, whenever his cell-phone rang, nothing good had come out of it. So whenever he heard it ring, he would be annoyed.

He picked up the cell-phone and asked impatiently, “What is it?”

A gentle and anxious voice of a woman spoke from the other side of the phone. “Ran, come home now. A woman has come home. She is pregnant. She says you are the father!”

Jing Yiran banged the table in frustration, frightening the staff around him. They weren’t sure what made him lose his temper.

“What did you say?!”

He was the father? It was impossible!

“Impossible that I am the father of the child. Throw her out, now!” Jing Yiran said unflinchingly.

But Zhang Rong on the other side of the phone, didn’t think that was a smart thing to do, in the current circ.u.mstances. “Ran, you haven’t even taken a look at her. How can you say that the baby isn’t yours? What if it is? This is the offspring of the Jing Family. When the baby is born, your grandparents will be so happy. Maybe even father would pay more attention to you. This is our chance.”

Jing Yiran said in an unpleasant tone, “I said that I am not the father! Why do I need to have a look at her? I won’t take a b.a.s.t.a.r.d as my child, just to please someone else!”

“Ran, just come back and have a look. Even if you think that the baby is not yours, you will still have to convince me! Or I will let her stay. The woman was slender and wore a red dress. When she was standing here, two things were obvious. Her hot figure and a slightly protruded belly. Apparently, she was pregnant and the baby was his.
