He also knew how important his looks were, when it came to impressing the ladies. It would all come to nothing, if his face was ruined.

In the waiting lounge outside the operation room, Grandma Mu Lan and Zhang Rong were both waiting with bated breath. They stood up on seeing Mu Qing leave the operation theatre.

“How did it go, Doctor? How is Ran…?” Zhang Rong was more worried than Grandma Mu Lan. What if something happened to her son? What if he couldn’t have any children in the future? Family Jing would treat them as outcastes and moreover, Jing Yichen would be the sole heir to the Jing empire.

Mu Qing had blood all over his face, and some blood had stained the white hospital gown he was wearing. His well groomed hair was unkempt and he looked very messy.

The old lady was much calmer than Zhang Rong. She was certain that her grandson had punched Mu Qing when she saw Mu Qing in this pitiful condition.

She didn’t ask about Jing Yiran. Instead, she interrupted Zhang Rong and said in a remorseful voice, “Mu Qing, I am so sorry that Ran hurt you. You have such a big heart that you continued with his treatment despite his juvenile behaviour. I truly appreciate what you have done for us and for this, I owe you one.”

Mu Qing wiped off the blood from his nose and said quickly, “No, no, Grandma. Ran and I are good friends and he was just anxious because of his current condition. I don’t blame him at all. As long as he can be cured, I won’t complain, even if he punches me to death.”

Jing Yiran had walked towards them by now and had heard Mu Qing lie with a straight face. He wanted to punch him once more, but he dare not do that. After all,his mother and grandmother were right there and he knew very well that Mu Qing now had the power to decide when Jing Yiran would be able to get intimate with a woman, next.

Seeing her son look so pale, Zhang Rong went up to him and gave him a hug. She realised that his dark blue s.h.i.+rt was soaked with sweat. She asked, “Are you alright, Ran? Why are you sweating so much?”

This self created casanova image had now come back to bite him. His mother and grandmother simple refused to believe him.

Jing Yiran finally realized how smart Jing Yichen was. Yichen had fabricated everything with such finesse that Jing Yiran had walked into his trap, out of his own accord. Yiran could see it but these two silly women were still falling in line with Jing Yichen’s plan, and they didn’t even know it. Jing Yiran imagined Yichen laughing at him.

He couldn’t take this for another minute, but clearly Mu Qing was not done with him yet. Mu Qing went on to say, “Ran deserves a good rest now. Although I did some acupuncture on him so that he feels better, yet it is not a foolproof method. The best prescription would be for him to rest at home and not get intimate with any woman for an entire year. If he chooses to ignore my advice, the treatment that we have done so far will be of no use. I will prescribe some traditional Chinese medicine for him later which can be boiled in water and he can sip on it, through the day, once he gets home. He is not allowed to eat meat or spicy food. Try to control your temper too, as that is very important…”

Mu Qing went on and on for some time and both the women hung onto every word he said. From the looks of it, it seemed that they were definitely going to follow Mu Qing’s plan of treatment, to the T. Jing Yiran couldn’t believe that he would have to lead a life of abstinence for an entire year.

He may as well become a monk, if he followed Mu Qing’s line of treatment.

Mu Qing saw them off, after spending the entire afternoon with them.

Immediately after they left, he called Jing Yichen. He sounded very excited and said, “Master Jing, I did it. Thanks to my work, he is not going to be able to indulge in s.e.xual intercourse, for at least one year! After he was done speaking with Mu Qing, he disconnected the line. He then summoned Tiger into the study.

“How is it going on with Xie Zhuojun?”
