As Shangguan Ning was drinking the sour plum juice, she suddenly felt perturbed possessing so much power. She enjoyed being Jing Yichen’s a.s.sistant and working for him.

“Do you think I have become the one who flew in the sky in one leap? It doesn’t feel right.” Shangguan Ning whispered.

Jing Yichen burst into laughter and said, “You are the President’s wife, the lady of Family Jing. You are already in the sky. What do you mean by taking a leap?”

Shangguan Ning was feeling a bit unsure. She was worried that her performance might affect the business of the company. Hearing what Jing Yichen said, she felt slightly a.s.sured.

This was Jing Yichen’s company and as his wife, she should stand in line with him and manage the huge business empire properly.

In all probability, Jing Yichen wouldn’t give her complicated work when she was newly appointed. Even a professional with rich experience in a company would not start to deal with complicated work right from the time of his appointment.

Jing Yichen brought Shangguan Ning along with for business negotiation in the afternoon, together with Lu Qing, Tiger and Lu.

Jing Yichen tended not to take too many people when he was out for negotiations. Usually, he just had one deputy president or a top director, one a.s.sistant plus – Tiger.

It might be advantageous to have many people with him so that they could add pressure during the negotiation. But that might waste resources, since everyone at their positions had their respective work to do and it might become time consuming making the daily work suffer. Secondly, Jing Yichen was a great negotiator and didn’t need anyone to come and support him.

The business negotiation this time was regarding a collaboration project with Family Ji’s Enterprise. It involved the financial affairs of Jingsheng Enterprise that needed to be expanded.

Shangguan Ning had already made full preparations for this collaboration many days ago. She had started to study about it when she was at the hospital. She was not a stranger to the financial vocabulary anymore, but she was far away from being a negotiator. Jing Yichen took her along because he wanted to show her what it was like.

He was capable enough to complete the negotiation and Shangguan Ning as well as Lu Qing were there to simply remind him of some small details.

He had never wanted to cultivate his wife to be a professional woman. What would a strong woman need him for? All she needed to know was the general process of the collaborations at Jingsheng and how the money was made. That would be enough for her. He would be the money maker in the family.

They picked an elegant teahouse for the meeting. When they arrived, the representatives from Family Ji’s Enterprise were already there.

Jing Yichen usually chose a relatively formal place for negotiations rather than places like teahouses. But Family Ji’s Enterprise had picked the place this time.

The waitresses at the teahouse were all girls, young and beautiful. They were dressed in the cla.s.sical cheongsams in light green with peonies patterns. They looked beautiful and their white legs were exposed through the openings of the dresses, giving them a s.e.xy look. They were very attractive and full of vigor.

Seeing Jing Yichen coming in, they all stood elegantly and bowed to them. They were a feast for the eyes.

All of them led the way for Jing Yichen, smilingly. The bold ones started to ask Jing Yichen for his business card.

Jing Yichen had not bothered to look at these girls for even one moment and walked into the deepest corner of the place with an arrogant look. But Shangguan Ning felt quite sour in heart.

She was a woman of action She didn’t show politeness to anyone who dared to look at her husband.

So when the following beautiful waitress approached Jing Yichen and wanted to talk with him, Shangguan Ning took a step forward and separated these beautiful girls from him. She smiled politely and said, “I am sorry, but my husband isn’t carrying his business cards with him today. Also, he is allergic to perfumes, so please step back.”

The waitresses who were trying to approach him suddenly got startled. They had never expected that this a.s.sistant in a professional suit was the wife of this outstanding man in front of them.

All the elegant girls ceased in their steps. Only the waitress in front led them to the respective place.

Shangguan Ning felt much better after driving away those colorful b.u.t.terflies and Jing Yichen beside her couldn’t help but smile a little – it had been a wise decision to bring her along. He didn’t need to tolerate the annoying women any more.

Soon, they entered an isolated yard and the gate with an engraved opening, making it possible for the two parties to see each other.

The man from Family Ji’s Enterprise on the negotiation table was none other than Ji Bo.

He had always been responsible for the financial affairs of Family Ji’s Enterprise and had managed to bring a large amount of flowing capital with highest investment revenue expanding Family Ji’s Enterprise.

Ji Bo had known that the man who would come for the negotiation would be Jing Yichen, but what he didn’t expect was that Shangguan Ning would come along as well.

He looked at the elegant woman and then stood up to greet Jing Yichen. “This way please, Family Jing.”

Jing Yichen didn’t miss the hidden yet long look of Ji Bo’s. He frowned and replied to Ji Bo quietly, looking intimidating.

Ji Bo was already used to Jing Yichen’s arrogance. He ignored it and started to present the people beside him after Jing Yichen’s team was seated.

Shangguan Ning knew Ji Bo as well as two other people next to him, thanks to Ji Lili.

A long-hair woman dressed in a white gown, who looked elegant and pretty was none other than Ji Bo’s cousin, Ji Jiameng.She was one of the heirs of Family Ji.

Next to Ji Jiameng was a man dressed in a suit who looked much older than Ji Bo and Ji Jiameng. He wasn’t especially good-looking but had a pair of sharp eyes and was indeed a fierce guy. He was called Ji Ling, half-brother to Ji Jiameng, namely Ji Bo’s cousin.

There were four heirs of Family Ji and apart from Ji Lili who had already been driven out of the city by Jing Yichen, the other three were all present – Ji Bo, Ji Jiameng and Ji Ling.
