Zhao Zhao wanted to give the best things in the world to her daughter. She didn’t put the treasured blue diamond necklace which Family Zhao had manufactured last year, on auction. Instead, she left it to Zhao Anan. Hence, it wasn’t a big deal to have a house that was so luxuriously decorated for her to live in.

Shangguan Ning couldn’t help but burst into laughter seeing Zhao Anan’s disdainful face. Zhao Anan had just told her that the wallpaper in her house had been made by melting gold bars.

“If the wallpaper at your home is really decorated with golden bars, then I can knock you off and then rip the wallpaper and everything else off the wall!”

Zhao Anan burst into laughter as well. She handed over the luggage to the servants and then showed Shangguan Ning around. It was the first time she had brought someone home and wanted to show off a bit. After all, her mother had spent so much effort in turning the place into a luxurious palace!

“Anan, are those fist sized pearls on the wall, the legendary luminous pearls?”

The two girls kept talking for the entire afternoon all the way until the evening. They hadn’t seen each other for so long and had much to discuss.

Finally, Shangguan Ning made a call to Jing Yichen.

“What? My dear wife, are you not coming home tonight? Are you staying overnight at Zhao Anan’s place with her?”

Jing Yichen jumped out of the sofa and looked instantly displeased.

What was his position as a husband?
