The three women laughed and then started to have an animated conversation.

Jing Yichen came to Shangguan Ning and saw the three of them in the exact same clothes. He couldn’t help but ask them. “Are you done?”

They looked up at him and Shangguan Ning said, wide eyed, “We haven’t even started yet!”

The three men almost pa.s.sed out.

One hour had gone by and they hadn’t even started picking the clothes yet! What had they been doing till now?

Jing Yichen shook his head helplessly but said with a smiling face, “Good. I have got the designer here from the UK. Just wait until she comes and then she will take your measurements. Ning, tell her what and how you would like it to be.”

Shangguan Ning nodded smilingly and then went to try the gowns with her two bridesmaids.

She needed to try different ones to understand what fitted her best, so that she could tell the designer what she wanted.

The three women got changed with the help of the staff and then walked out of the trying room.

The eyes of the three men waiting outside widened all of a sudden!

Each stared at his own woman and felt that she was the most beautiful one.

Since Shangguan Ning was the bride, Zhao Anan and Zheng Lun hadn’t tried as many gowns as her. After changing back into their own clothes, they kept helping Shangguan Ning sort through the gowns.

Shangguan Ning was so dazzled because of the various wedding gowns that she couldn’t understand what she wanted. She always wore clothes that gave her the most comfort and wasn’t very particular about the style.

But the wedding dress designer from the UK took Shangguan Ning and Jing Yichen aside and asked them for their preferences before taking their measurements.

Jing Yichen didn’t say much. He didn’t need too much effort put into his clothes. What he wanted was that Shangguan Ning could get the wedding gown which she would cherish forever.

People only got married once in their life and it should be perfect!

Shangguan Ning thought carefully for a while and then told the designer what she liked. They discussed it for quite sometime before freezing upon the final design.

The designer whom Jing Yichen had hired was a top-notch wedding gown designer who only designed dresses for the bride. The designer’s a.s.sistant went to take measurements of the best men and bridesmaids and discussed their respective clothes’ designs as well.

By the time the designs were finalised, it was already two in the afternoon. They hadn’t eaten lunch, so Jing Yichen asked them to join them for a late lunch at his villa.

Jing Yichen’s villa was located in the outskirts surrounded by beautiful landscape and clean air. Zhao Anan and Mu Qing had both been here, so they worked as guides for Zheng Jing and Zheng Lun by telling them about the various flowers and surrounding buildings there.

The four guests led the way while the two hosts followed behind.

Shangguan Ning had lived in the villa once. She felt emotions threatening to overwhelm her.

When she lived here, she had never expected that she would marry the owner of the villa. She had thought that Jing Yichen would only be a pa.s.ser-by in her life. But he had become her life already and they were going to have a wedding really soon.

At that time, she had already made a disciplined man like him, lose self-control many times. But now, she finally became his woman and they could walk across the entire building, hand in hand openly.

Jing Yichen held Shangguan Ning’s hand and strolled across the colorful garden. He looked at her gently and asked, “Do you like it here?”

Shangguan Ning glanced at their tightly held hands and replied with a smile, “Very much. It is a great place to live in.”

“Good that you like it here. I didn’t show you around last time you were here. Now we can take a proper look for as long as you wish. I have transferred the owners.h.i.+p of the villa to you as one of the wedding presents.”

She stared at him in astonishment and then finally smiled. “Then I will accept it! But if I have the owners.h.i.+p of all the real estate under my name, aren’t you worried that I would drive you out to the street?”

Jing Yichen laughed and then held his wife’s hand even more tightly. “Don’t worry, I won’t allow you to! I will sleep wherever you sleep. I am not going to allow you to sleep alone.”

“Don’t be too sure. What if some fiancée or girlfriend of yours pops up again someday?”

Jing Yichen shook head helplessly. This woman was still jealous of Tang Yun. It was something that had happened ages ago.

He had a phobia of Tang Yun now, fearing that any more contact with her would make his wife thoroughly displeased. Therefore, no matter what happened to her in the USA, he didn’t go there to take a look at her, at all. Instead, he sent Tiger to handle all the problems there.

He pulled her cheek and said lovingly, “I don’t think that any fiancée would pop up ever because I haven’t got any. I have only one woman, namely you, in my life. And even, we didn’t get engaged before getting married!”

“Also, if a fake fiancée pops up one day, you shouldn’t get tricked by it. Nor should you drive me out. Instead, you should hold tightly to me so that I won’t go anywhere. You should learn from me – when you didn’t agree to marry me, I cared about nothing except to drag you to the Civil Affairs Office. It was the simplest and most effective way to sort the problem.”

He said it in such a matter-of-fact way that Shangguan Ning stared at him.

“So unreasonable of you to force others to be as bossy as you!”

While talking, they came through the garden and entered the villa. The servants greeted them courteously. “Master, Lady, here you are! We have already got the lunch ready. Should we serve the dishes now?”

Jing Yichen nodded.

He went into the s.p.a.cious living room with Shangguan Ning. Mu Qing and the other three were already seated and talking animatedly with each other.

“Mr. Zheng, you have been so protective about your sister, so what kind of brother-in-law would you like to have? I have heard that you have scared off more than dozens of candidates and it’s your fault that your sister is still unmarried!”

“Those candidates weren’t good. I just interrogated them casually and they all got so scared that they ran away. How could these men be qualified to protect my sister for her entire life? Sigh! I had wanted to marry my sister to Master Jing or you, but it seems that neither of you are available now!”
