Ji Bo and Lan Yu were the only two people left in the fragrant and quiet teahouse.

Seeing those four leaving the place, Lan Yu said in her hoa.r.s.e voice, “Ji Bo, let’s get married.”

Ji Bo’s hands shook making the exquisite porcelain teacup fall on the ground, and shatter into pieces.

“What are you talking about? Get married? Are you mad? We had an agreement that we will only got engaged, nothing more.”

He would be crazy to marry an evil woman like Lan Yu!

Hearing her voice every day was already a huge torment. Would he want to look into the evil eyes for the rest of his life?

She looked normal but somehow she made people around her uncomfortable.

She was like a ghost climbing out of the grave, sinister and dark.

Ji Bo would be driven mad if he got married to Lan Yu.

But Lan Yu didn’t care about his att.i.tude.

It didn’t matter whether Ji Bo wanted to marry her or not. She didn’t like him anyway. What mattered was that Ji Bo had to marry her.

“Don’t worry. It will be a fake marriage. We can get divorced within one year after the marriage. You can find any woman you want and no one would mind you being a divorcee because by that time you will be the richest, youngest and handsomest billionaire in A City, one whom all women would run after.”

“Also, I have given my dowry to you in the form of those 10% shares. Ji Bo, did you think that you would get my things for free? Don’t you know that there is no such thing as a free lunch. You know how this principle works after being the master of an enterprise for so many years, right?”

Ji Bo collapsed on the wooden chair after hearing what she said.

He was beginning to feel that he might have made a grave mistake that was going to impact his entire life!

He was inferior to Jing Yichen in every single way and had lost to him numerous times. He might not have wanted to admit that but he was convinced by Jing Yichen’s ability and wealth, which was many times bigger than his. He had learnt from his mistakes and was not going to make the same ones twice.

However, now it seemed that he was going to be under a woman’s control which was way worse than losing to Jing Yichen. He felt humiliated!

“So, this is the deal. I will pick an appropriate date for us. We can skip the engagement party and go to the wedding directly. You better not think of resisting it. I have already promised that we would be married at most for one year. If you don’t do as I say, I swear that I will destroy you. Try if you don’t believe me.”

“Also, if we get married, I will throw Ji Minjue out of the enterprise, instantly. You will be the President and there will be no one who would dare to talk back to you.

Ji Bo sat up straight again. He no longer looked distressed. Instead, he looked determined.

He was in Lan Yu’s boat no matter what now. In order for him to succeed, Lan Yu had to succeed.

Lan Yu chuckled at the sight of his fast changing mood.

But she forgot for a moment that she had lost the melodic voice she used to have. She sounded like a crow at the moment.

Startled by her creepy voice, Ji Bo tried to distract her. “Didn’t you say that you are going to give Jing Yichen a surprise? Where is it? I have received his!”

“Don’t worry, I have already delivered the surprise. Not sure if Shangguan Ning has got it. Do you want me to kill Shangguan Ning’s child or her, as well?”

Ji Bo got startled and said with his teeth tightly clenched together, “Why do you get innocent people involved in your hatred towards Jing Yichen? She and the child have done nothing to you!”

Lan Yu took a sip of the cold tea from the table and glanced at Ji Bo, sinisterly. “Innocent? I am the most innocent one. Are you concerned about your woman? That is not even your child, what are your feeling sorry for?”

Shangguan Ning was sent back to their villa located in the outskirts by Jing Yichen. Zhao Anan was with them too.

Although Zhao Anan was very hyper, Jing Yichen got her here so that she could keep Shangguan Ning company.

Lu was already waiting in the villa when they reached.

Lu was sporting pigtails today and was dressed in black sportswear. She had a pair of black shoes on but wore an expressionless face.

Shangguan Ning knew that Lu was abnormal again, rather, she was in her normal state. She was steady and introvert like any 26 year old girl.

Zhao Anan had not yet met Lu. She didn’t visit Family Jing often and Lu was always on some mysterious mission. They had not met each other until that very moment.

Shangguan Ning introduced them. But she already believed that Lu would get along well with Zhao Anan.

Zhao Anan greeted Lu enthusiastically but what she got back was a cold response from Lu. She was displeased and took Shangguan Ning back to the room.

Lu didn’t enter the room. She grabbed the gun out of her sleeves, loaded it and started to petrol around the villa.

When G.o.d had taken something from her, she was given something else.

She was very sensitive towards danger. Usually, the more dangerous it got, the more capable she would get.

Her senses were tingling when she came to the villa today.

Shangguan Ning also got a bit uneasy when she saw Lu going out of the room in such a cautious manner.

But Jing Yichen told her that it was completely safe here, much safer than at landscape compound, because it was a single villa and easier to protect. Landscape Compound was an open area where many other people lived.

Shangguan Ning tried to relax. Too much nervousness would affect the baby in her belly. She must ensure that her child was not affected in anyway.

Zhao Anan could always make her laugh improving Shangguan Ning’s mood.

But everything changed when Shangguan Ning heard a piercing cry of pain coming from outside.
