“Back off now!” Shangguan Rouxue stabbed Zhao Anan’s neck with the tip of the blade and her skin tore open. Blood ran out of the wound. A while later, Zhao Anan’s white Polo s.h.i.+rt was dyed red with her own blood.

“Back off now! You and Shangguan Ning! I need to leave!”

“Lu, do as she says, back off, let her go.” Shangguan Ning stopped Lu who was about to step forward. Shangguan Ning turned to Shangguan Rouxe and said in a cold voice, “You can go now, but don’t hurt Anan anymore, or, you will never get out of this place.”

Shangguan Rouxue was anxious to leave from here, fearing that something would happen if there were any more delays. So she agreed instantly, “Okay, no problem. I won’t hurt her. Now open the door for me.”

Shangguan Ning turned to Zhao Anan in concern. She had shed a lot of blood and looked to be in agony.

She walked to the gate slowly, opened the door and then pulled Lu to the wall, during which time, Shangguan Ning threw her a look.

Lu nodded invisibly.

“Shangguan Rouxue, we are far from each other at this moment. You can leave now. I promise not to run after you, but you must leave Anan here before you leave.”

“Honestly, do you think I am an idiot?” Shangguan Rouxue grabbed hold of Zhao Anan’s arms and put the blade closer to her neck. “No more tricks. I will leave with Zhao Anan, otherwise you will send someone to catch me if I let her go.”

“You two must not move now. Or I will rip the blood vessels on her neck and she will die instantly.”

“Okay, okay, we will not move. Go away. As long as you don’t hurt Anan, do what you want. Don’t keep the blade so close to her. She is bleeding already!”

Shangguan Rouxue didn’t want to argue with Shangguan Ning in order to get out of the place as soon as possible. So she moved the blade off Zhao Anan’s neck and then dragged Zhao Anan walk outwards, limping. Shangguan Ning had shot on her foot the day before whilst Lu hit her knee. Both of the wounds were on the same leg, so her foot and knee hurt increasingly. But she tried hard to walk fast.

She needed to go. Her face would be ruined by Zhao Anan if she stayed here.

Lu had her eyes upon Shangguan Rouxue all the time. The moment she dragged Zhao Anan outside, she pulled the trigger.

The bullet hit the two cm wide blade accurately. The shock made Shangguan Rouxue release the remains of the blade and she pushed Zhao Anan in. Then she turned around and ran away.

Shangguan Ning came to Zhao Anan and held her. Tears gushed out of her eyes. “Anan, are you alright? We will get the doctor and he will fix your wounds.”

She didn’t care about Shangguan Rouxue who was running away. Zhao Anan was the most important person for her. Never mind if Shangguan Rouxue ran away, as long as Zhao Anan was fine.

Lu didn’t go after her either. Her mission was to protect Shangguan Ning.

She needed to be next to Shangguan Ning all the time when Jing Yichen was not around. She knew that even if she went after her, she could capture her. Yet she didn’t move.

Because she wasn’t sure if any other danger would occur after she ran out. What if Tang Yun used the same method? Then Shangguan Ning would be in danger.

There were several wounds on Zhao Anan’s neck, but none of them were deep. She was in so much pain that her face ached. But she turned to Shangguan Ning and showed a comforting smile. “Don’t cry, I am fine. These are all superficial wounds. I should have stabbed Shangguan Rouxue a bit more severely.”

“No talking, doctor is on the way. Just hold on for a few moments. I hear him coming.” Shangguan Ning said as she shouted out, “Doctor, someone is hurt, come and save her!”

When the sound of the gun arose, the security and medical staff had all come running in this direction. After they heard Shangguan Ning, they came to the room.

Mu Qing and Jing Yichen were both very quick. They showed up first. They had been on the way to visit Jing Yiran when they heard the sound of the bullet. They both thought that something had happened where the two women had been held.

Mu Qing got so frightened at the sight of Zhao Anan who was covered in her own blood. His face turned white and his fingers trembled violently as he reached for Zhao Anan’s wrist. He let out a sigh of relief realizing that she was just slightly injured and everything else was fine with her. He held Zhao Anan and walked outwards.

Jing Yichen didn’t look any better. As Shangguan Ning was holding Zhao Anan, she had blood on the hands and body and her face was pale as well. She looked at the edge of falling.

However, Shangguan Ning immediately said to him when he saw him coming over to her. “I am fine, this is not my blood.”

Jing Yichen felt a touch of relief. He nodded and carried her up, and walked out of the ward, ignoring Tang Yun who was calling out his name.

Jing Yichen carried Shangguan Ning to a ward, softly placed her on the bed and then pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket. He wiped the blood stain from her face and hands.

He was very gentle in his movements but he looked very cold.

Shangguan Ning knew that Jing Yichen was angry.

Jing Yichen barely got angry at her. He almost never treated her in such a cold way. Shangguan Ning felt a bit worried.

She said timidly, “Yichen… I am fine, I am not hurt, Anan is, I want to… to see her…”

Jing Yichen frowned instantly and said to her with a cold gaze, “You are not allowed to go anywhere from now on. Stay by my side!”

“But…”

Jing Yichen took her freezing hands in his own and said, “No buts! I refuse. Zhao Anan will not die with Mu Qing around. Do you know how frightened I was when I heard the sound of the gun? Do you want me to go crazy? Do you know how important you and the child are for me?”
