Tang Yun’s face turned completely white, so did her lips. Large beads of sweat trickled down alongside her forehead and her voice turned hoa.r.s.e within such a span of time.

Apparently, she was extremely scared of being stripped by Zhao Anan.

It was weird.

Even Mu Qing and Zheng Jing turned serious. Both of them were feeling that what they had guessed, was real!

She was behaving as if she was going to be killed. If it had been Zheng Lun who was pure and innocent, it might have been normal to have such a reaction.

But Tang Yun was not that kind of woman!

Zhao Anan had known her for ten years. Tang Yun had stayed in America for so long. She had already been westernized in her mind and it would not bother her if she went out in a bikini or was seen by strangers.

The three men stood there in silence. No one was helping Zhao Anan to take off Tang Yun’s clothes, not even Mu Qing. They were all waiting for the result of their conjectures.

Zhao Anan was fierce. Although Tang Yun held tightly to the top, she still managed to rip off the green gown.

Zhao Anan instantly grabbed her hands and tried to pull them to the sides in force.

Tang Yun had been exposed.

She didn’t look humiliated or annoyed. She looked desperate.

Mu Qing shook his head and said in a clear voice, “Impossible! You have been shot as well and you know what kind of procedure is required if you don’t want the scars to remain.”

“When I was extracting the bullet out of you, I tried my best to make the cut to the minimum degree and even used the most cautious technique of st.i.tching. I used the top notch scar healer yet you still have a scar there. I might not be the best doctor in the world, but Family Mu is definitely one of the best in dealing with external injuries and scars. I am confident about it!”

Having said the words, everyone in the ward turned to Tang Yun’s chest which had no scar on it.

Actually, no one except for Jing Yichen had known where Tang Yun had been hurt. But when Jing Yichen ordered Zhao Anan to strip off Tang Yun, he had been looking at Tang Yun’s chest. Anyone would have been able to understand that Tang Yun must have got the scar on the chest.

Zhao Anan realized what was going on. She was shocked as she sat on top of Tang Yun.

Jing Yichen underwent a short moment of loss of control before he went back to being cruel and cold, at least on the surface.

With a calm face and cold eyes, Jing Yichen looked so intimidating that Tang Yun did not dare to meet his gaze.

“Tang Yun, I will use whatever I have, to take revenge from you!”

Jing Yichen spoke in a lethal way. The words he said seemed to come from the deepest corner of his heart, deadly and cruel.

“You will not die. I will make you experience all possible kinds of brutal torture. Anyone who helped you ten years ago will be found by me. No one will escape my hands. They will all die a terrible death in front of you slowly and the torture that will be ten times more brutal than I experienced years back.”

“From now on, my revenge starts. I hope you will live long enough to see it. I don’t think that you are going to die so soon especially when you have been trained well.”

Tang Yun had turned completely pale. Her cheeks looked ashen and she seemed to have lost her strength to fight back.

The secret which she had kept for ten years, was exposed.

The plan that she and her men had been cooking for dozens of years was destroyed.

Jing Yichen’s last remaining grat.i.tude towards her was gone.

Tang Yun had always thought that she would realize her plan with the help of the power behind her and would become the lady of Family Jing and gain control of Family Jing.

When that time came, she would no longer be scared if her secret was exposed.

But at this moment, it was all finished.

Jing Yichen turned around after he finished speaking and walked out.

When he came to the door, he said to the security who were standing there. “No need to stand guard. Let her go.”

The two bodyguards had no idea what was happening, but they obeyed and said, “Yes, Master!”

Jing Yichen strode out of the hospital, got into his luxurious Aston Martin and left for home.

He opened the door and walked in.

Jing Yichen walked towards Shangguan Ning. In order not to startle her because of his sudden appearance, he made some sound on the way so that she would know that he was back.

Sure enough, Shangguan Ning turned around after hearing the sound. Then she stuck her tongue out at him in a cute way.

Jing Yichen wrapped his arms around her waist and held her in his arms.

The warm sunlight in the afternoon shone in through the ceiling-to-floor window upon Shangguan Ning’s beautiful, warm face.

Jing Yichen held her tightly in her arms, and felt the coldness reducing little by little. He no longer felt as upset as he had been, sometime back.

The woman in his arms could always console his bleak heart, warm up his frozen body and make him feel loved.

“Ning, I love you!”

Jing Yichen sounded slightly hoa.r.s.e. Shangguan Ning, could instinctively feel a change in his emotions.

She turned around to face Jing Yichen. She held his face in her palms as she became anxious at the sight of his bleak eyes. “What is going on, Yichen? What happened?”

Shangguan Ning never restrained her emotions. She had no need to conceal her emotions in front of Jing Yichen.

Therefore, Jing Yichen could tell clearly how worried she became.

He liked that Shangguan Ning was simple and innocent and that he could feel her heart and read her mind.

He didn’t need to guess a thing. Nor did he need to ask about anything.

Jing Yichen lowered his head and dropped a kiss upon her forehead. He felt calm and under control now.

He wouldn’t let the shadow of his dark past fall on the woman he loved. He was used to bearing the pain on his own.

What happened in the past had nothing to do with Shangguan Ning. He could deal with everything by himself within no time.

“Baby, I am fine. I just learnt that someone has been deceiving me for a long time and I was quite upset about it. But now that I have seen you, I am fine. I feel happy as long as you continue to smile at me.”

Shangguan Ning had no idea about who had made this powerful man lose control.

She didn’t ask anything more. Instead, she caressed his cheek with her hands gently and said in a soft tone, “Silly, it is normal to be scammed. You are a human too and it is already great that you have tasted only one fraud. I have been through many and I am still fine, right? Also, I am leading a much happier life than most of those liars because I have got you. And you have me. We will be fine.”

Shangguan Ning paused and gazed right into Jing Yichen’s eyes as she whispered. “I love you so much, Yichen. Nothing else matters as long as we are together, we will be very happy.”

Jing Yichen’s heart was moved. He couldn’t help but take one of her hands, put them on his lips and kiss it. He said, “I know.”

It is because of you who loves me deeply and stands by my side that I have not fallen into the deep abyss.
