When Jing Yichen returned home that night, Shangguan Ning was waiting for him anxiously.

The dinner had been laid in the dining room, but she hadn’t touched anything.

“Why haven’t you eaten yet?” Jing Yichen held her hands and took her to the sink, where he washed her hands.

“I was waiting for you!”

Shangguan Ning liked it a lot when Jing Yichen washed her hands and treated her as a treasure.

Jing Yichen had especially bought some good soaps from abroad that could kill bacteria and keep the hands smooth and fine, but more importantly, they were suitable for pregnant women.

“Silly girl, why did you wait? No more waiting, come and eat quickly.”

Wherever he was or whatever he was doing, he knew that there was a woman waiting for him at home anxiously, just to share a meal with him.

That was what home felt like.

“No, I can’t eat alone. It feels lonely.”

Shangguan Ning turned him down without hesitation.

She would eat alone if Jing Yichen was travelling outside A City for business.

But if Jing Yichen was in A City, she would always wait until he came home and ate meals with him.

Jing Yichen grabbed a white towel and dried Shangguan Ning’s hands as he said with a smile, “You are not alone now, you have a baby inside you. So you must eat well and on time even if I am not at home.”

“No, the little one is not yet formed. He doesn’t count until he is born.”

Jing Yichen shook his head helplessly and said in a soft voice, “Alright, then I will come home in time for dinner. But if I am really stuck with something, don’t wait up. The baby needs food too, understand?”

Shangguan Ning nodded eventually. “I will eat first if you really can’t make it. But you are at home today, and I was not as hungry.”

She was living a normal life with a proper diet when she was pregnant with a child nowadays. She no longer stayed up. She had changed her lifestyle because of the baby.

Sitting at the dining table, they talked about normal things and finished their food peacefully. Shangguan Ning asked about Jing Yiran being driven out of Family Jing only post that.

With one hand holding a plate of fresh strawberry and the other holding Shangguan Ning, Jing Yichen brought her to the sofa and sat down next to her.

He placed the strawberry upon the white marble table and gathered Shangguan Ning in his arms as he recounted the incident and ate the strawberry which she brought to his lips.

Shangguan Ning’s heart skipped a beat after hearing the truth.

“Will the transfer of so many shares affect the development of the enterprise?”

Jing Yichen smiled and said softly, “Jingsheng has experienced all kinds of trouble before reaching where it is today. I am the leader and the biggest shareholder of the company. No matter what Family Ji does, we won’t be seriously affected. Have faith.”

Jing Yichen was not worried about being controlled by Family Ji because he had numerous methods to deal with Family Ji’s Enterprise.

Shangguan Ning trusted Jing Yichen’s ability. He had outstanding talent and capability as a leader in business operations. She didn’t think that Ji Bo was a match against Jing Yichen.

But what she didn’t understand was why Jing Yiran would want to transfer the entire 20% shares of Jingsheng to Family Ji’s Enterprise.

It was a huge amount of wealth, one that would bring in a great deal of revenue, annually. Jing Yiran couldn’t have been so stupid to give away such huge benefits to Ji Bo without getting anything in return.

There must be some important deal involved in the middle.

Jing Yichen spoke in a low voice as if he could read through what Shangguan Ning was thinking. “We are not yet sure what Jing Yiran has received from Ji Bo in return. But whatever it is, it can’t have been more valuable than 20% shares of Jingsheng. For him, it is definitely a loss making deal.”

The key point was that Jing Yiran gave away the shares which had been given by Jing Zhongxiu and Mo Lan to him, and not acquired through his own efforts. He was earning money at no original cost.

Shangguan Ning was very unhappy right now. Jing Yichen was the owner of Jingsheng Enterprise and 1/5th of it was gone. She really wanted to curse Jing Yiran.

She did so, right inside her heart.

Jing Yichen only stayed with her for a short moment before going about dealing with the properties under Jing Yiran’s name. He used a large amount of force and froze Jing Yiran’s bank accounts, sealed his houses, cars, companies, bars, night clubs etc.

Jing Yiran became a hobo overnight.

The following morning, the news that Jing Yiran had been driven out of Family Jing swept across the entire A City.

Everyone talked about this incident vividly, trying to guess why the Second Master of Family Jing would be driven out of the house. On the other hand, Ji Bo’s wedding didn’t draw much attention. After all, people were always more interested and excited about the happenings of Family Jing.

When he saw Jing Yichen coming in with his wife, Grandpa Mu let out a sigh of relief.
