Shangguan Ning knew Shangguan Rouxue well. She knew how ruthless she could get. She was not surprised to hear what she said.

Maybe she didn’t intend to disguise her real feelings any more.

Shangguan Ning stared at Shangguan Rouxue said to her in a commanding tone, “You play tricks and put on acts every single day. Now you are exposed! That’s why Xie Zhuojun doesn’t like you any more. He has seen through you. It has nothing to do with me. Also, there are many men in this world that are more excellent than Xie Zhuojun. Jing Yichen is just one of them. Can you kill them all?”

Shangguan Rouxue screamed like a cat being stomped on the tail. “Nonsense! Zhuojun is the best man in the world. No one can exceed him. How can my man be second to anyone?”

Shangguan Ning looked at her in pity.

She was a bit confused now. Shangguan Rouxue had been a conceited person, but she was not a maniac.

She knew what Ji Bo and the others were planning but she was confident about Jing Yichen.

Jing Yichen was not as simple as they a.s.sumed him to be and their love was not fragile, either.

It was not Family Jing’s style to fall for the same trap, twice.

What needed to be done right now was to get Shangguan Rouxue under control, in case she and the men behind her did something terrible to her.

Shangguan Ning made up her mind to walk upstairs and retreat to the room.

Ji Bo seemed much more reliable than Shangguan Rouxue.

But Shangguan Rouxue was still immersed in her own world as she followed Shangguan Ning upstairs. “This is unfair! Which part of me is worse than yours? Why are you having a better life than me? You have never surpa.s.sed me in anything since we were young. But even Ji Bo likes you. Why? I met Ji Bo first. Why did you take him away from me?”

“You are wrong. Ji Bo doesn’t like me. You can ask him yourself. I think that he likes you.”

Shangguan Ning was talking nonsense. She intended to lead Shangguan Rouxue to Ji Bo’s side.

Shangguan Rouxue got a bit delighted hearing the words, but soon her face sunk again. “You don’t need to lie to me. Do you think that I am an idiot? I already confessed my feelings to Ji Bo when Xie Zhuojun was in a vegetative state, but he turned me down without any hesitation.”

Shangguan Ning got slightly startled. She didn’t know that Shangguan Rouxue had confessed to Ji Bo, before.

But that didn’t matter. What she needed to do was to distract Shangguan Rouxue.

“Do you know why Ji Bo turned me down?” A twisted expression hovered over Shangguan Rouxue’s scarred face, making Shangguan Ning s.h.i.+ver in her heart.

“He said that he already liked someone else and even said that we weren’t a match. Who else would fit him if not me? Then I knew. He stared at you and stood up for you all the time, so I tested him and sure enough, I got my answer. He finally admitted that he likes you!”

Shangguan Ning didn’t believe what Shangguan Rouxue said but it didn’t matter right now. She just wanted to lead Shangguan Rouxue to Ji Bo’s side.

“I don’t believe you. I need to ask him because he said earlier that he likes you. Don’t try to fool me!”

Shangguan Rouxue got startled upon hearing what Shangguan Ning said.

“That is impossible!”

She didn’t believe that Ji Bo liked her but Shangguan Ning sounded so certain and she never lied or made up stories.

At this moment, Shangguan Ning was willing to lie through her teeth. It was a matter of survival for her.

Shangguan Rouxue had no feelings for Ji Bo at the moment, but if Ji Bo liked her rather than Shangguan Ning, then it would be delightful to know so. It would mean that she was more charismatic than Shangguan Ning.

She hesitated for only a second before deciding to go to Ji Bo with Shangguan Ning.

Shangguan Ning wouldn’t be able to escape, anyways. She could be allowed to live for a few more minutes.

Shangguan Ning breathed a sigh of relief inside her heart seeing that Shangguan Rouxue approved of her proposal.

She knew Shangguan Rouxue’s weakness and had made use of it correctly.
