Jing Yiran hated it most when he saw Shangguan Ning and Jing Yichen’s display of love. He was so jealous!

He had thought that Jing Yichen would lose to him when it came to relations.h.i.+ps because he wasn’t interested in women and had zero chance of getting a woman who loved him true-heartedly, yet unexpectedly, Jing Yichen managed to find a wife so excellent.

Jing Yiran looked at Jing Yichen and sneered. “Jing Yichen, what are those men doing here? Ask them to retreat.”

Jing Yichen said without moving, “Leave Ning alone. I will give you everything you want!”

Jing Yiran suddenly laughed in such a gleeful way as if he had already gotten everything he desired.

He laughed for a long time before withdrawing his expression as he sneered, “Do you think that I will be stupid enough to release my only bargaining chip, and then get covered by the bullets?! Get them away, or Shangguan Ning will die right now!”

He said as he poked Shangguan Ning’s back.

Shangguan Ning was already at the edge of the bridge and she lost her balance with his push. She could not help but let out a scream.

Jing Yiran stretched out his hand to pull her back. But she had already turned pale.

This unexpected move made her belly ache a little. She got so frightened that she almost started to cry.

She was not afraid of heights and could swim well enough, but if she fell off the bridge, she was definitely going to lose the baby.

She did not dare to move as she stood at the edge of the bridge. The sea wind pushed her hair into her eyes but she did not have any strength to push them back.

She was trying hard to stay balanced and calm.

Jing Yichen screamed furiously seeing Shangguan Ning getting pushed. “Stop it!”

He looked far beyond angry, he was hopping mad.

Jing Yiran suddenly felt very pleased seeing Jing Yichen getting so angry.

“See? I have your woman and child’s lives in my hand. One finger of mine can send them to h.e.l.l. Now, get your men away from here!”

Jing Yichen’s heart was bleeding when he saw Shangguan Ning.

Why had he not killed Jing Yiran earlier?

Why had he decided to let him live till the present day?

Just because Jing Zhongxiu wanted him to live, he had obeyed his order.

But the consequences were being born by his wife and child.

Jing Yichen’s nails dug deeply into the flesh but he felt no pain.

His voice suddenly turned hoa.r.s.e, “Alright, I will remove my men but you must not touch Ning again!”

He made the compromise, because he wanted to make sure that Shangguan Ning was fine. For her, he would agree to anything!

Jing Yichen picked up the phone and started to order his men to withdraw the force.

A minute later, everyone drove away from the area. The Cross-Sea Bridge, which always had so much traffic, fell into dead silence.

Jing Yiran became the dominator now.

Jing Yiran had five men with him and each of them had a gun, but Jing Yichen was on his own.

Jing Yiran looked up at the sky and the sea, and found that no helicopter or the seaplane could be seen. So he got proud and said, “Jing Yichen, aren’t you all mighty? Aren’t you super rich? But now you are on your own!”

Jing Yichen did not care about his att.i.tude. He looked up at him and said, “I have removed my men, now, let Ning take one step backwards.”

Shangguan Ning was wobbling as she stood at the edge of the bridge. It could be seen that she would collapse anytime, probably even before he finished talking with Jing Yiran.

Jing Yichen’s heart ached badly, and all he could do was to make sure that she was in a relatively safer spot.

Seeing that Jing Yichen was obeying his order, Jing Yiran got quite pleased. He showed a cruel smile and pulled Shangguan Ning backwards so that she fell into his arms.

Jing Yichen got so furious that he almost burned up. He could not help but take a step forward.

Jing Yiran bellowed, “Freeze! Or I will shoot her!”

Jing Yichen forced himself to stand still.

Shangguan Ning did not move while she was in Jing Yiran’s arms, either.

As long as she did not have to stand at the edge of the bridge, it did not matter if she was being hugged by Jing Yiran. She was being practical. If she must be in his arms to keep the child safe, then she would allow that.

But she felt that Jing Yiran was behaving as if he was possessed.

He never had a bottomline for whatever he was doing, and could do anything to reach his purpose. But now, he had lost even his humanity. Probably, he had been affected by Yang Muyan and his hatred towards Jing Yichen had grown multifold.

Jing Yiran naturally had no idea what Shangguan Ning was thinking. He felt that he was in control of the situation and dominating one’s life and death felt exhilarating.

He was definitely not going to kill Shangguan Ning, because she was Jing Yichen’s biggest weakness. If she died, Jing Yichen would have no concern in this world and he would break his neck no matter how many men he had.

Jing Yiran had had some feelings for Shangguan Ning before, but not having seen her for a long time made him lose desire towards her, especially now that she was pregnant with Jing Yichen’s child.

He was not interested in pregnant women.
