But Zhao Anan found the name Knife Lee too amusing. She even pulled his ears and arms.

He wondered where Jing Yiran had found a man like Knife Lee. According to Lee Duo, Knife Lee was not Jing Yiran’s man, but someone Jing Yiran hired for this job specifically. He got paid by Jing Yiran, so he had to work for him. He had not been Jing Yiran’s full time employee.

During the long flight from the UK to A City, Zhao Anan kept provoking Knife Lee but he stayed silent and did not get furious. He did not apologize to her but stayed so quiet that Zhao Anan lost interest in picking on him.

Zhao Anan got so excited when she came back to A City that she forgot all about Knife Lee.

When she heard that Zhao Zhao was taking care of Jing Rui at Shangguan Ning’s home, she rushed to Landscape Compound, directly.

Jing Yichen knew that Mu Qing was bringing Zhao Anan home, but he purposefully hid it and aimed to give his wife a surprise.

Jing Yichen had simply told her that she was hiding from Mu Qing and they failed to find her before this. Since Zhao Zhao found her daughter intact, she was not as excited as Shangguan Ning.

Shangguan Ning forced her to make a vow. “I have your word, now. No more running away! You must tell me wherever you go. Make a promise now!”

Zhao Anan replied helplessly, “Alright, alright, I will make a promise. Wherever I go next time, I will tell you, my Sister-in-law. And I will never run away from home any more, alright? What a nosy woman!”

Satisfied, Shangguan Ning laughed and took her into her arms. “This will do!”

Mu Qing got both surprised and happy when he heard Zhao Anan promising not to make a mess in the future. He had been prepared to run away with Zhao Anan but did not expect that Zhao Anan intended to settle down!

This was the best news he had heard in recent times.

Zhao Zhao was also glad. She felt that her daughter had changed and became slightly obedient with a friend like Shangguan Ning around. Zhao Anan would never have cared about what others were thinking, earlier. Only Shangguan Ning could stop her from doing anything stupid. Even she as a mother did not have this ability.

Jing Yichen didn’t have much reaction towards the promise. As long as Shangguan Ning was not running away, he was alright with everything else.
