Smiling face of a young girl greeted her eyes.

She was around 18 or 19 years old. Her long hair were draped over her shoulders and her facial features were as exquisite as those of a doll. Her smile was innocent and lovely, and her large pair of eyes were twinkling with a touch of cunningness. On the tip of her nose there was a beauty mole, which added an air of uniqueness to her.

The painter had apparently been quite an expert. To be able to paint the soul of a character, required not only excellent painting skills, but also heart and emotion.

Shangguan Ning had learnt painting earlier. There were many a time when the teacher said that the character she painted, lacked soul. She never understood that before. She did now, at the sight of this picture.

The fact that this was the latest paper and newly painted, showed that this painting was recent. The paint had slightly solidified and the paint brushes were still on the table next to the drawing board. Several sketches were lying under the brushes, and the woman on the paper was exactly the same as the one on the drawing board.

Shangguan Ning calmly covered the painting with the veil. She could clearly feel a sense of bitterness and sourness arising in her heart. It took awhile for it to go away.

Or maybe, her feelings for Jing Yichen weren’t as deep so as to make her behave irrationally. She still confronted the situation calmly.

It was just a picture. It didn’t mean anything serious.

Shangguan Ning was startled –”get rid of them?”

“No, no, it is okay! I will go and meet them myself.” She waved her arms. Whoever the unexpected guests were, they should not be asked to leave without any reason.

What kind of people did Jing Yichen hire? They all looked good-natured and honest, but in reality, they were all so ruthless.

“What is your name?”

“I am Lee Duo, Lady.”

Shangguan Ning took a look at Lee Duo. He didn’t have a striking appearance, neither tall nor short, neither fat nor thin. The black clothes on him were neither new or old. “It was your Aunt, Lady.”

Shangguan Ning looked at him with surprise. He even knew about her Aunt!

But she didn’t ask any more. If he knew about Aunt Lin Yu, then it couldn’t have been something he had known since too long. She a.s.sumed that it might have been Jing Yichen who asked him to do some research recently. People around her must have been under his review as far as she knew Jing Yichen’s personality.

Shangguan Ning opened the door and was about to go inside when she found that Lee Duo was following her with his team. She thought for a while and said, “I can go in by myself. She is my Aunt and I am in my own home. It will be fine.”

Lee Duo stayed silent for a while and said in a low voice. “If Lady thinks that there are too many of us here, then I can follow you alone whilst others can wait outside. Your Aunt is not alone, a man is with her too.”

Shangguan Ning understood that this was the lowest limit. Although she found it quite weird, yet Aunt had been getting progressively crazy during the past few days. Now she had brought a man here, and she must have thought of some plan again. It might be good to have someone alongside.

She nodded and walked in with Lee Duo.

In the room, Aunt Lin Yu was smiling towards a young man who looked very chubby. She looked at her instantly.

She also glanced at the ordinary and honest-looking Lee Duo and a.s.sumed that he was the guard of the compound who accompanied Shangguan Ning, seeing that someone had come to Shangguan Ning’s home without invitation.

She ignored Lee Duo and forced a false smile towards her niece. She walked towards Shangguan Ning with an intention to hug her . “Oh, Ning, I have missed you so much that I came to see you again! How have you been?” She said, with much exaggeration.

Shangguan Ning looked at her coldly and dodged Lin Yu’s arms quickly. She replied breezily, “Thanks to you, Aunt, I didn’t freeze to death last time you were here. I would have a better life, if it wasn’t for you. Please leave now, you are not welcome here!”

Aunt dared to visit her, even after she had behaved so ruthlessly,the last time. Shangguan Ning had no intention of being kind to her, even if her aunt had the courage to return.

“Ha, you are getting really hot-tempered after several days of separation.” With Shangguan Ning showing such bad att.i.tude, Lin Yu stopped smiling as well. But she controlled her anger after taking into account, the man beside her.

“Ning, you are getting quite old, and it is not a good idea to live alone all the time. My heart feels for you, so I have found you a boyfriend. Look at this dear. He is a successful young man with a handsome face. Someone so difficult to find nowadays!”

Shangguan Ning sneered without taking a look at the man. “Why don’t you give this man to Cousin if you find him so excellent? Aren’t you afraid of Uncle divorcing you when he comes to know that you brought a man with unknown background to my home without my permission?”

Lin Yu sneered. She never believed that Shangguan Ning would dare to call the police. She would not make a big fuss because of Huang Lihan.

She turned to the man next to her, who kept swallowing his saliva. “Ding Lei, this girl is yours. When she marries you, you will be the owner of this apartment. I can give benefits to anyone but this little b.i.t.c.h!”
