Shangguan Ning shook her head and said in a panic. “Nothing!”

Jing Yichen sat up, and held her from behind. He placed his chin in the crook of her neck and said , “My love, I did nothing last night and you still feel lethargic?”

Shangguan Ning’s face flushed instantly, yet she felt drained of all energy.

She didn’t expect that Jing Yichen, who otherwise seemed so cold and indifferent, would actually be so mischievous and flirty. She didn’t expect him to talk to her with words that had so many s.e.xual connotations. So much so that she was almost always blus.h.i.+ng.

Jing Yichen ma.s.saged her back with his hands, suggestively, but she quickly manoeuvred them and rushed to the bathroom.

He got off the bed, and started to ramble through a full wardrobe of clothes, custom made for Shangguan Ning, at his order. He finally chose a long, sling, Bohemian styled dress.

This style would look really good on Shangguan Ning, who was tall and slender. Most importantly, this dress was long enough to cover her beautiful legs,that men were drooling over.

Shangguan Ning changed into the dress Jing Yichen picked for her.

She too, was quite fond of this style. For one thing, it helped her tall and slender body-shape stand out, and for another, she needn’t worry about the dress being lifted up by the wind.

She felt that Jing Yichen had good taste. She stood in front of the mirror, spun around holding up the hem of the dress and asked with her head tilted. “Do I look pretty?”

Jing Yichen nodded. He was amazed at what he saw but all he could manage to mumble was, “Yes.”

Shangguan Ning was unconvinced. She pursed her lips and said, “Humph… so untruthful.”

Jing Yichen couldn’t help but laugh, seeing her behave so endearingly. “You little fool! No matter what you wear.. In my eyes, you will always be the most beautiful woman in the world.”

He then led Shangguan Ning downstairs, for breakfast.

As soon as they entered the quiet, luxurious lobby, they heard some high pitched voices.

Shangguan Ning turned around to look and saw Shangguan Rouxue along with the rest of her family.

Jing Yichen could sense Shangguan Ning’s body freeze in reaction, so he continued to hold her hand.

Shangguan Ning smiled stiffly and then followed him to the dining hall.

There were few people in the dining hall, so they found a table by the window. They placed their order. Jing Yichen asked, “Don’t want to see them?”

Shangguan Ning looked up, and her expression turned calm. She said quietly, “It’s okay. I am with you.”

Jing Yichen smiled. He asked, “Do you know why they were arguing at the front desk, this early in the morning?”

Shangguan Ning looked a tad confused. She had no idea why the group behaved that way. That wasn’t their usual style, because those six people were otherwise, quite pretentious. They would never do anything that would impact their reputation negatively. They really cared about what people thought of them.

“This hotel belongs to Jingsheng Enterprise.” Jing Yichen replied, without a change of expression.

“So?” she asked nonchalant tone. Shangguan Ning had no idea that this five-star hotel belonged to Jingsheng, yet when she thought of the special treatment they received, everyday since their day of arrival, it became obvious.

“So, I, as the President, have the power to decide who is allowed to stay here and who must leave!”

Shangguan Ning was startled. Although Jing Yichen looked n.o.ble right now, she knew that he had never behaved as arrogant and conceited ever, as he did currently. She wasn’t used to this behaviour of his and found it to be quite pleasing.

Was she crazy?

However, she was just pleased that she didn’t need to see them in the hotel or by the beach every day. Every time she saw them, her quiet and stable life would be shaken ruthlessly. She hoped never to meet these people ever again, as long as she lived.

Shangguan Ning’s eyes twinkled. She stared at Jing Yichen and said in admiration, “Oh, turns out that I have married a powerful man.”

Her expression and words pleased Jing Yichen no end. He couldn’t stop smiling. He leaned his handsome face forward, to the side of Shangguan Ning’s lips. “Then, will you reward your powerful husband with something?”

Seeing his handsome face so close to hers, Shangguan Ning bit his lips and planted a quick kiss on his face.

She quickly scanned the room to see if anyone had caught them in the act, and let out a sigh of relief seeing that no one had noticed her actions.

He was still thinking about the softness and fragrance of her lips. He tried to control himself so as not to tease her any more. He started with breakfast as soon as the waitress brought it to him.

In the meanwhile, in the hotel lobby, the Lobby Manager was explaining to this group of six people, who were apparently quite furious. “I am so sorry, but the rooms you have booked, have a water leakage problem, and we are in the process of rectifying it right now. So you can’t stay there on those particular days. We will arrange for a refund of the room fees and arrange for a compensation, according to the terms and conditions.”

The lobby manager was a beautiful and elegant lady. She was well dressed and extremely professional. She spoke courteously, but there were no two ways around the fact that they were not allowed to live in the hotel any more.

Yang Wenshu got angry and anxious. She was hardly able to stay calm and elegant.

“Everything was fine a minute ago. What do you mean by saying that there is a water leakage problem now? Is that what a five-star hotel is like? Also, isn’t it very strange that only our three rooms have water leakage problem, and not the rest of the rooms?”

The rest of the group were also aware that the hotel was driving them out on purpose. Xie Dongfeng, who was Xie Zhuojun’s father, frowned and said to the Manager unhappily, “Since those rooms have water leakage problem, then get us rooms that don’t have any such issues.”

The Manager was still smiling and said in a calm voice, “I’m sorry but our hotel is fully sold out. There are no vacant rooms. Please check into other hotels. We are sorry for the inconvenience.”

She sounded very hospitable, and still, there was a hint of impatience in her eyes.

These people had been arguing with her, all morning. She had been so busy handling them that she didn’t even have the time to drink water. With all the ruckus that they created, they had offended the senior management of the hotel. She really had the intention of kicking them out personally.

Shangguan Zheng, who had been used to giving orders in A City, was extremely furious with the hotel authorities.

“What kind of Manager are you? We need to complain to your General Manager. Please call for him, immediately!”
