Yuki opened her eyes and looked at the ones sitting at the table. "Big Brother, you really did choose this life... One where you will live forever. It seems that any memories of you that do not involve Cedric will be able to come back on their own." She looks at the two that are sitting there in front of her.

"So you know a little about the runes. That is a good thing for you." Rex sighed and sat down at the table.

Claude was sitting down and hugged Sephira but his eyes went wide at what Yuki had said.

Sephira had seen the green essence come from Claude and enter Yuki. She had watched the whole process and she saw Yuki's eyes flash green as she drank. "Yuki, are you feeling better now? Is it a good thing that you remember that?"

Yuki got up slowly, "I believe that it is a good thing. I am not supposed to be kept away from my true self. With my memories locked it makes it hard to know what is going on. It is true that you belong to Cedric's clan. I can see the yellow flowing through your veins. I wonder if that is why Cedric has been having a hard time?" As she was leaving the room she looked at Rex, "Rex you should know what I am going to ask. Please prepare that and you guys can eat to your heart's content." She left the room and rushed back to Cedric's side.

Cedric opened his eyes then quickly closed them again and held his head. He heard the door open but did not open his eyes.

"You are holding back because you do not want to have a guardian?" Yuki walked to the bed and looked at him.

Cedric turned sharply over to her and saw the green in her eyes fading, "You remember some of your rune memories. That is good." He reached his hand up and waited for her to come to him.

Yuki climbed on the bed and crawled over to him. "I remembered when Claude become my guardian. The essence you need is here and yet you are refusing your thirst. The purple essence will become too much if you do not be careful." She touched his cheek.

"Would you not get jealous that it is a female that I become tied to? I do not want to do something that will upset you." Cedric pulled her down and kissed her lips softly.

"I think that it is better that the one that becomes your guardian, is Claude's partner. He would mourn his loss if she died knowing that we could make her like him. It is someone I know and I trust her. She is not going to try and steal you away from me. Besides she saw me drink the essence from Claude. She looked concerned but at the same time, she was jealous. She is showing her emotions in front of me but hiding them from Claude. I already asked Rex to prepare the item." She kissed him back and then kissed the bonded mark.

Cedric held onto her. "Okay, if you are okay with it then I will do as you suggest. I did not want to upset you by choosing someone that is new and a female. I know that you will get jealous. I can't bear to take essence from you although it is tasty. We do not match in colours and it will not do the same then if it was someone of my essence colour. Claude might not be happy with my choice though."

Yuki snuggled in his arms, "Claude is not the one to choose. He doesn't have a say in who you choose, besides I doubt he will argue it. You were going to attack and it was Rex that calmed you down."

"You are probably right." Cedric held Yuki and heard the knock at the door. "Come in."

The door slowly opened and in walked all three people from the dining room. "I am sorry. I gave Yuki the essence she needed. I could feel her thirst for it and it is something that I was unable to control." Claude bowed to Cedric.

"It's your job as the guardian. I will not argue on that point. I am sure that you know that I am suffering from not having a source for essence and that some of the targets I killed in the past were not just from l.u.s.t but to curb the essence needs. I need a partner before I accidentally kill someone that should not be killed. Claude would you be mad if I asked Sephira to become my guardian? Her essence is driving me insane." Cedric laid on the bed but he could feel the need rising.

"That is something that we talked about downstairs. I was jealous of Yuki but at the same time I can not break something that has been set in stone. I will become your guardian. I already received the knife from Rex. I have heard about how it feels from Claude. I am ready if you need me." Sephira bows and steps to the side of the bed.

Cedric looked at Claude and saw him nod his head. "Alright, then I accept you as my guardian. I will drink your essence and stop before you break. Just know that it will be extremely painful the first time."

"I understand and I trust you as I trusted Yuki and Claude." Sephira took the knife and sliced the palm of her hand and watched the yellow essence flow out.

Cedric took her hand and drank the pooling essence. He picked up the knife and sliced the nape of her neck. He drank the flowing essence from her neck more deeply. He felt the breaking point coming up so he stopped and touched the wound and healed it then he licked the remaining essence off. He turned to Yuki and his eyes were a golden yellow.

Sephira collapsed on the bed and held in her emotions of pain she curled up and felt like she was breaking on the inside.
