Chapter 814: Always Feels Like She Is Dai’er
When Feng Tianlan heard footsteps, she raised her head and looked off in that direction. She felt quite confused when she saw Xi Lin returning so soon after she had left. “Sister Lin, is there anything else that you need?”
Xi Lin winked at her then walked over.
While Feng Tianlan was figuring out why Xi Lin had winked, she saw someone else appear beside her. She then shouted subconsciously, “Brother… Crown Prince?”
Xi Lin walked towards Feng Tianlan in a natural and poised manner while she said with a smile, “I told my brother that we are destined to be friends. He didn’t believe me and insisted on saying that I like the Demon King. He even advised me not to like him. Therefore, I brought him here to show him that I was looking for you and not the Demon King.”
After hearing what Xi Lin said, Feng Tianlan was dumbfounded. She raised her head and, with a smile, said to Xi Jin, “Crown Prince Xi doesn’t have to worry so much. Sister Lin was indeed looking for me.”
When Xi Jin saw Feng Tianlan’s gorgeous smile, he was stunned. She was standing under gardenias while looking up with a smile on her face. She looked just like Dai’er had previously. Even if everything else was different, her smile looked exactly the same as Dai’er’s.
“Dai’er.” Xi Jin walked forward absent-mindedly and stared at her. He then apologized, saying in a guilty tone, “I am sorry…”
“Big brother!” Xi Lin abruptly shouted out loud.
Her loud voice jolted Xi Jin back to reality. He then turned around and looked at Xi Lin.
“Big Brother, that is Feng Tianlan, not Dai’er. Don’t make a mistake.” Xi Lin was trying hard not to look away. She widened her eyes and stared at him angrily as if he had just mistaken her for someone else.
Xi Jin took a step back and looked at Feng Tianlan, who was frowning in discontentment. He felt very sorry and sad. “I am sorry. I made a mistake once again.”
Feng Tianlan was initially shocked by his reaction. However, she managed to recover slowly as she smiled. “It’s okay. It’s just that Crown Prince Xi should restrain his grief since that person has pa.s.sed away.”
Xi Jin put on a gentle smile as he said, “Is the Demon King around? I haven’t gotten to thank him since he saved my life.”
After all, he was indeed saved by the Demon King. Besides, he should also apologize for what he had previously done.
“Mobai is busy.” Feng Tianlan glanced at Xi Jin’s gentle eyes. Even though he was wearing a smile on his face, she could tell that there were a lot of things hidden behind those eyes.

Xi Jin replied with a soft ‘uh-huh’ and gave Feng Tianlan a slight nod. “I have something going on. I have to leave now. I will thank the Demon King some other time.”
“I will pa.s.s the message along to Mobai,” Feng Tianlan said.
After Xi Jin and Xi Lin left, Feng Tianlan realized that her back was covered in sweat. She kept thinking that Xi Jin was different from before. His voice wasn’t filled with guilt like it was when he used to call her Dai’er.
“Azurite,” Feng Tianlan called out.
“Miss.”
“Go investigate where Crown Prince Jin went, what he did, and who he met since waking up after his wedding,” Feng Tianlan ordered Azurite in a worried tone.
Azurite replied agreed and then retreated.
After leaving Bailan Alliance, Xi Jin looked at Xi Lin doubtfully. “Didn’t you dislike others calling you Sister Lin? How are you so close with Miss Feng?”
The only ones who could call her Sister Lin were Dai’er and Shen Yunya. However, one couldn’t call her that anymore while the other was not allowed to call her that anymore. Why was there suddenly one more person who could call her by that name?
“Big brother, why have you been filled with suspicion ever since you woke up? I didn’t let people call me that previously because I didn’t have many friends. Dai’er was my only true friend. Since Lan’er is such a good friend right now, she can definitely call me that.”
“Is that so?” Xi Jin looked down with slight disappointment.
