Chapter 2053 - 2053 Get Rid of All of Them? Then I’ll Give It a Go

2053 Get Rid of All of Them? Then I’ll Give It a Go

The Guardians’ protective flight suits weren’t as st.u.r.dy as the Iron Man suit, but they were much more convenient and stealthy.

The main weakness was the energy source. Generally, a suit could only function for under 20 hours in one go, and even less than that if it was damaged.

In this regard, Tony’s Iron Man Armor came out on top.

However, if the third generation arc reactor was incorporated into this suit, it should be able to use energy continuously for at least a month, which was perfect.

!!

Something like this could be used on Earth. It was more convenient and powerful than nanosuits, and could be used as a reference for further development of the nanosuits.

In this way, Luke both had fun and talked shop with Rocket, killing two birds with one stone.

His only regret was that they hadn’t run into any stupid aliens, so he and the Guardians didn’t make any extra ‘income’ in the last week.

Rocket had already promised to help him build a new s.p.a.ces.h.i.+p which absolutely wouldn’t stint on performance.

Without money, however, they wouldn’t be able to buy the parts and equipment needed to build a new s.p.a.ces.h.i.+p when they got to the Nova Empire.

But it was still early for Luke to think about that.

As the saying went, if you want to do a good job, you have to sharpen your tools first.

He would first ‘learn’ from these Guardian ‘seniors’ for two months, which could only increase his work efficiency in the future.

In any case, there were many lawless places in this universe; the only difference was how much they could plunder.

His inventory had already been upgraded to a billion cubic meters – putting aside the Mental Strength it would require, Luke could fit an entire asteroid in it.

Most asteroids were rocks made up mostly of silicon dioxide, which could be found anywhere in the universe.

As long as he took action, he would definitely go after valuable things.

Even plundering all the valuable items in the Nova Empire might not necessarily fill up his inventory.

This was his first time in s.p.a.ce, so it made sense that he didn’t have any money.

If he brought Director Selina and the dog head out to play in the future… Hm, wait, there was a problem with this train of thought!

Luke suddenly came back to his senses. If he took Director Selina out into s.p.a.ce to ‘punish evil,’ ‘mete out justice,’ and ‘rob the rich to help the poor,’ maybe… she would be happier?

It had been a long time since Director Selina had gone all out.

For ten years, Luke had consistently swept through and rooted out various gangs and forces on Earth. Those who stood out suffered heavy losses, and the rest basically couldn’t fight him head-on.

But in s.p.a.ce, there would always be people who did bad things.

The system wouldn’t give him credit points for this, and Luke wasn’t Odin; he wasn’t interested in establis.h.i.+ng an empire and protecting aliens.

At most, he would take Director Selina or his team members out once in a while to play and obtain some spoils that couldn’t be found on Earth, and earn some pocket money.

That day, the Guardians arrived in a lawless zone to replenish supplies.

Luke had a lot of supplies in his inventory, but he didn’t have fuel or maintenance supplies for the s.p.a.ces.h.i.+p.

Also, everyone could eat food from Earth, but apart from Quill, who was a human-alien hybrid, it wasn’t to their liking.

Pa.s.sing through the jump point, the s.p.a.ces.h.i.+p slowly headed for lawless territory.

Just as they were about to reach their destination, a swarm of what looked like small stars ‘swam’ toward them.

Luke, who was playing with Groot Jr., heard both Quill and Rocket curse, before they turned the s.h.i.+p around and ran.

Luke asked curiously, “A grudge?”

Neither Quill nor Rocket said anything. It was Gamora who explained darkly, “It’s the Sovereign. When we helped them complete a mission last time, Rocket ‘acquired’ a few Anulax batteries. They’ve been chasing us ever since.”

“No wonder!” Luke was enlightened. If it were him, he would’ve hunted them down too.

Rocket had shown off these Anulax batteries before.

They could store a ma.s.sive amount of energy, and were about the size of a home LED light. If the Iron Man Armor used one in battle, it could keep going for days.

Considering how convenient and quick it was to replace them, these batteries could be used as ‘single-use’ arc reactors.

Daddy System didn’t protect aliens, while Luke naturally stood on the side of a friend. “Rocket, well done.”

Rocket turned around and chuckled at Luke’s thumbs up.

Drax, on the other hand, looked at Luke’s hand in confusion. “This gesture… Does it mean, ‘kill them’?”

Luke thought for a moment before he nodded. “If you’re willing, I can give it a try.”

Everybody raised their eyebrows.

Quill couldn’t help but say, “The Sovereign guys are all cowards. The s.h.i.+ps they send out are all remotely piloted. If we fight, we’ll be the only losers.”

Luke exclaimed, “Remote pilot? Then where is the mothers.h.i.+p which controls them?”

Quill shook his head. “No idea. In any case, we haven’t found anything like it.”

Luke rubbed the neat white beard on his chin. “Then blow them all up. That should be safe.”

The Guardians raised their eyebrows again. That was hundreds of remotely piloted s.h.i.+ps. He wanted to blow all of them up? Are you crazy, or are we?

For Luke, however, if the Sovereign themselves had come in person, he would have considered holding back.

After all, Rocket had only stolen from them; if he killed hundreds of them in one go, that would be a little insane.

But these were just unmanned s.h.i.+ps, so it didn’t matter.

Also, these unmanned fighter s.h.i.+ps could be remotely piloted in s.p.a.ce at a range that was beyond what even Quill’s s.p.a.ces.h.i.+p could detect, which was far more advanced than Luke’s remote-controlled androids.

He wanted this technology! Thinking this, Luke stood up. “I’ll create a distraction. The s.h.i.+p might not be able to reach the jump point if they chase us and engage us in a fight.”

Hearing that, Rocket jumped out of the pilot’s seat. “I’ll go with you. Just nice, we can try out our new guns.”

Luke didn’t stop him.

On this s.p.a.ces.h.i.+p, the little racc.o.o.n was indeed the best shooter apart from him.

With Luke around, it wouldn’t be easy for anything to happen to Rocket.

Even if they got lost in s.p.a.ce, he could at most knock Rocket out and stuff him into s.p.a.ce 2 before transferring him back to Earth as a guest for a period of time.

One person and one racc.o.o.n went to the rear cabin. Racc.o.o.n put on a protective suit, while Luke simply put on the Big Dipper Armor.

Rocket couldn’t help but exclaim, “Your gear’s so cool. Why don’t you usually wear it?”

Luke opened the weapons trunk on the side and took out the new gun which he and Rocket had put together. “Quill says every day that he’s the most handsome man on the s.h.i.+p. There’s no need to steal Gamora’s attention from him. She’s been watching me too much in the last few days.”

Rocket laughed and picked up a small version of the gun. He loaded an Anulax battery into it and said, “You’re too considerate. Quill isn’t afraid of taking a blow. Hm, that’s only if you really can’t steal Gamora from him.”

Amused, Luke patted Rocket’s head. “I only like Earth women, okay? Alright, it’s showtime!”

He used the armor’s suction function to stand firmly on the deck.

The little racc.o.o.n, on the other hand, looked for cover, then wrapped a safety rope around himself.

A moment later, the rear door opened up into starry s.p.a.ce.
