Devil's Rise 141 Subduing The Booty Warrior

I flew off in the direction of Jax. If my ghost had gotten stronger it was good news, I would happily teach him why I was his master now that I was a Viscount. And if someone had dared to harm my servant they would only be seeking death.

I spent about an hour flying over the waters of the Cove of Death before I neared Jax's location. Down below was a large pirate s.h.i.+p.

"Look in the sky!" said one pirate on the s.h.i.+p.

"What's that?" said another.

"It's a bird?"

"It's a plane?"

"IT'S THAT DEVIL! MAN THE SAILS," said Captain Jax as he came out of his cabin.

I fluttered my wings landing on the large pirate s.h.i.+p. This s.h.i.+p wasn't Summer Flash. Jax had been busy during his time living in the Cove of Death apparently. There were many strong burly pirates on this crew, all at attention seeing me land on the s.h.i.+p.

I looked up and saw my jolly roger hanging on top of the s.h.i.+p, and coughed up blood. Seeing Jax manning a large pirate s.h.i.+p filled with st.u.r.dy men waving around my banner, I knew my reputation had been ruined. How dare this pervert ruin my good reputation with his foul acts!

"Jax, get your a.s.s over here," I screamed at the top of my lungs in fury.

"DEVIL I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU A LONG TIME! YOU DELIVERED YOURSELF RIGHT TO ME, TO GIVE ME SOME BOOTY," said Jax as he walked up with his chest puffed out.

I could tell from the pressure hew as emitting he had broken through to Viscount. It seemed his vocabulary had improved since promoting to Viscount, but his perverted nature remained. He had even changed his attire, no longer was he wearing the butler uniform I had given to him. Now he was in a pirate captain's garb. This ghost must think he's stronger than me now so he doesn't have to listen to my commands.

"I see, without me around you've forgotten your roots. Even going around ruining this young devil lord's good reputation," I said.

"From the moment I subdued you, you only had one fate. That was the fate of being this young lord's butler. You should be thanking the stars I even allowed a pervert like you to have such a prestigious position. Instead, you go around tarnis.h.i.+ng my good name, ruining my reputation. Kneel down and repent for your sins, so we can leave. I don't have time to waste with your theatrics," I said.

"PUNY DEVIL! I'M A WARRIOR! NOW I HAVE GROWN MORE POWERFUL. I'VE BECOME ADEPT IN THE ART OF TAKING BOOTY. YOU CAN'T CONTROL ME, NOW GIVE ME THAT BOOTY!" said Jax as he released his domain.

The entire s.h.i.+p was shrouded in a cold nether fog. The temperature dropped immensely while the wind and the sea howled an eerie song within the ghost's domain.

"The captain's getting serious!"

"Someone's about to give up some booty!"

"At least it's not us!"

"IT'S TIME TO PLAY AY!" said Jax.

His body transformed growing more ma.s.sive under the effect of his u003cPrison Shower Domainu003e.

"DON'T DROP THE SOAP SOULLESS," said Jax as he began sending out ghostly b.a.l.l.s of soup.

I dodged left and right avoiding his soap barrage, then transformed to my Nephalim form and released my domain to counter his.

"I WANT THAT BOOTY SOULLESS," said Jax as he came closer to me.

"Do you need my help, my love," said Ayla.

"How could the servant ever eclipse the master, I'll finish this on my own Ayla. This pervert needs to be punished by my hand, so he doesn't have any more thoughts of rebellion," I said to Ayla.

"I'm going to have beat you until you learn to behave yourself," I said looking at Jax.

My u003cHollow Domainu003e was fully released as an army of Savage Beast souls filled the pirate s.h.i.+p releasing their savage auras.

Jax was taken back upon seeing all the Viscount savage beast souls, he stopped his advance and withdrew his domain. He then pulled an entire 180. I was surprised that he had grown so intelligent by his response.

"MASTER I WAS WRONG, I SWEAR I WAS JUST TRYING TO BUILD YOU AN ARMY AND GET YOU MERITS FOR YOUR TIME IN THE COVE OF DEATH," said Jax as he kneeled.

"I KNEW MASTER WAS AWAY SO THIS HUMBLE SERVANT HAD TO MAKE SURE MASTER DIDN'T FALL BEHIND ON GAINING MERITS. I SUBDUED MANY PIRATES ALL IN MASTERS NAME, HAVEN'T I BEEN A GOOD SERVANT," said Jax as he tore off his pirate captain garb and dawned his old butler attire.

"Haha, you've grown smarter Jax. I'm glad your breakthrough granted you more intelligence," I said.

"But you still have sullied this young lord's reputation with your perverted nature so you must be punished."

I proceeded to beat Jax like a rag doll. He didn't put up an ounce of resistance. He knew if he resisted he would only join the souls swimming within my u003cHollow Domainu003e.

After roughing up Jax a bit I grabbed his ball u0026 chain and placed a u003cSoul Brandu003e on it. Now that I was more adept at the Dao of Souls I couldn't have my servant running amuck every time he got a little strength when I was away. I refined Jax's ghostly soul a bit while I placed the u003cSoul Brandu003e.

"So how many merits have you racked up for me Jax?" I said.

"Quite a bit young lord, it should be enough for you to be granted a fief. Your humble butler has worked hard," said Jax as he bowed.

Jax stopped screaming now, he was a refined butler with eloquence. My soul refining was a ma.s.sive success. I couldn't stop him from hungering for booty though. Having a perverted servant had its uses after all.

"These pirates are pretty useless, but they will remain under your command, Jax. Set sail for Coldridge Base, full speed ahead," I said.

I found out Summer Flash had been destroyed during the long years I was gone. It was unfortunate, that was my first s.h.i.+p. But that s.h.i.+p meant nothing to me now.

"Look there's a s.h.i.+p coming into dock."

"What's that jolly roger, isn't there a well-known s.h.i.+p with a hammer-ax?"
