Their conversation took another hour which was normal for them. Li Xiuying felt more at ease now compared to the previous weeks. Her husband's betrayal had finally sunk in and she had accepted the reality. 

Now, as she was conversing with Chuntao, Li Xiuying had no more regrets. She'd done her part which was something Mu Jianyu could never use against her. Until the end, she was the one who was willing to make their marriage work out but he was the one who turned his back on her. 

She felt that not only has her situation changed but she herself, as a person. She had to sit back and watch her own husband fall in love and be intimate with another woman. Li Xiuying didn't think any woman would remain the same after witnessing that kind of betrayal. 

Li Chuntao was right. She cannot do anything to change the past but she can give her and her child the peace and bright future they both deserved even if it means that Mu Jianyu wasn't part of it. 

"Okay, I'll probably be able to finish my work here within two weeks then I'll tell Uncle Yuren of our plan." She told her twin sister. 

"The details of the product the other company plagiarized from us are copied down to the smallest details." Li Xiuying heard pages flipping from her sister's end. She had emailed the initial report to Li Chuntao to get her opinion.

"Maybe I should oversee the partners.h.i.+p of Li Corporation while I'm there. Grandpa and Uncle Yuren's intention was to have strategic business cooperation with one of the largest IT companies there. I'm sure they wouldn't mind if I volunteer myself to do the job." 

The distribution of the benefits between the companies hadn't been negotiated yet. While the talks had been put on hold because of the plagiarism issues that arose recently, Li Corporation was still very interested in the matter.. 

Li Xiuying decided to pick up this case once she completes her task here to keep her mind occupied with work, not giving herself a chance to grieve over the end of her marriage. 

"This business deal has been dragged on for too long. You don't need to worry,Ying. I'm sure the company here is more anxious to seal the deal with Li Corporation as soon as possible. Since they are anxious, we only need to wait for a while and they'll come looking for us," Li Chuntao reiterated. 

Using a psychological tactic in the business world was a norm though it is scary. One cannot easily step into the battlefield unprepared for the consequences. This was why most of the businessmen were conniving and ruthless.

When the call finally ended, Li Xiuying went to the study and unlocked the top drawer of her desk. She pulled out the folder with the divorce papers her husband handed to her a week ago. 

Her emotional bank had already been depleted by Mu Jianyu. He was right. It was pointless to be tied in a loveless marriage.

Li Chuntao gave herself several seconds to calm down after she ended her call with her sister. Her hand gripping her phone tightly, eyes ablaze with murderous intent over the man who dared to bully her twin sister. 

There wasn't a hint of warmth in it but the coldness that her twin sister wasn't familiar with. Yes, her eyes were so cold, even vicious, if Li Xiuying could see her right now, she wouldn't be able to believe that Chuntao was capable of it. 

Did that insignificant pest thought he can get away unscathed after disrespecting her twin sister? Did he really think he could make a fool out of the Li family members? 

When she first saw the man, she was wary that he would make Ying cry. Perhaps her eyes always made people feel she could see what was in their heart so Mu Jianyu distanced himself from her and never dared to approach her despite her being his wife's twin. 

What Ying saw in him was beyond Li Chuntao's understanding. She couldn't see anything spectacular about the man her sister was married to. 

Only a few people can deceive Li Chuntao's eyes and Mu Jianyu wasn't one of them. 

Ying must be laughing earlier for her not to get worried but Chuntao knew… she knew that sometimes laughing was worse than crying. Her twin sister had been so used to hiding her worries and sadness in a false mask of smile and laughter. 

How could people know about her devious heart? Li Chuntao had an angel-like face, just like her sister. It was a pity that they didn't know what kind of angel she was. 

A few minutes later, she made a call from her phone again. This time, it was a voice of a man who answered her call. 

"Miss Chuntao?" Su Ling's voice can be heard from the opposite end. 

"Is Song Zexi with you?" She asked without wasting time. 

"Yes," 

"Good, then I have a job for the two of you. You mustn't let Ying know about this, do you hear me?' She said with such coldness that caused Su Ling to swallow the lump in his throat. 

Li Chuntao had shared the same temperament of her uncle, Li Yuren, which made her more overbearing than she already was. 

"I'm sure my sister ran a background check on that wh.o.r.e. Send everything to my email. I expect to see it tonight and oh," she paused as a thought crossed her mind, "if you can dig more on her and Mu Jianyu's dirty secret, I'll will reward you well."
