It had been three days since Li Xiuying saw and met her estranged husband and while the public was curious about the sudden news that spread around the capital about their impending divorce and how Mu Jianyu betrayed her by keeping another woman, Li Xiuying never accepted any request for an interview. 

The ident.i.ty of the other woman was still unknown and Lan Jinyao was tempted several times to bust Lin Meirong out given that this same woman was playing the pitiful, pregnant woman on their filming set again. 

The crew was careful enough when dealing with her. None of them, even the other actors dared to trouble Lin Meirong as she shot her remaining scenes for the film. 

"Cheer up. It's not like she'll be able to lift her head like that arrogantly for too long," Zheng Yue suddenly spoke beside Lan Jinyao when she noticed the deep frown on the younger woman's face. 

"Is it really alright to leave everything like this? Sister Ying… she would just let them be happy like that?" Lan Jinyao muttered lowly, enough for Zheng Yue to hear her complaints. 

"But isn't it more exciting to see her climb up higher before seeing her fall down hard later?" Zheng Yue pointed out. 

Now that Li Xiuying had chosen to distance herself from Mu Jianyu, it would be easier for the Li family to pin him down, dragging Lin Meirong with him. Since they were bold enough to offend the family and betray Li Xiuying, they should be prepared with the Li family's retaliation later. 

"Too bad Sister Ying wouldn't be able to witness it. I'm kinda sad that I wouldn't be seeing her for a long time," Lan Jinyao sighed. 

Li Xiuying called her last night to inform her of the sudden change of plans. She would be leaving in three days with Song Zexi overseas to represent the Li Corporation while Su Ling would stay for another week to fulfill the task the Li family left for him to finish. 

As for Lan Jinyao, she would be able to receive support from Li Xiuying through Zheng Yue and wouldn't have to worry about her half-sister bullying her so she wouldn't get more projects after this film. 

"It is for her own good, I guess." Zheng Yue said. 

She had already been missing Chuntao badly and now that Ying was also leaving, she couldn't help but be sad to be parted with the twins but for Ying to be able to heal from her husband's betrayal and to keep her baby safe, she would have to go and stay with her twin sister. 

"But the rumors about Mu Jianyu's other woman have started to circulate, this… would Sister Ying be alright?" Lan Jinyao asked her senior. 

Zheng Yue tucked in the stray hair behind Lan Jinyao's ear and smiled knowingly. Lan Jinyao was such a sweet girl that made friend with Ying at this turbulent time in her niece's life. 

"The one who should be worried is Lin Meirong not our Ying." 

Lan Jinyao was about to ask her what she meant when it occurred to her that indeed, Lin Meirong should be the one who should be wary of herself. 

Wasn't she dependent on the fickle emotion of a man that had just betrayed his wife for her sake? If Mu Jianyu was able to cheat and break Li Xiuying's trust, Lan Jinyao shouldn't be surprised if the man turns his back on that wh.o.r.e the moment the issue starts to get out of hand. 

Mu Jianyu was a businessman. He wouldn't put his name at risk to protect Lin Meirong. 

Just the thought of it made Lan Jinyao's mood turn better. She couldn't wait for the downfall of this cheating couple especially Lin Meirong who tried to subject her to a s.e.xual a.s.sault. 

"Lan Jinyao!" The director called out her name. It was her turn to shoot her scene with Lin Meirong again. 

"Go now. Prove to that woman that she can never get the Best New Actress award from you," Zheng Yue patted her shoulder before walking away. 

Lan Jinyao smiled as she watched the older woman leave. Yes, she wouldn't make it easy for Lin Meirong to get the award, not when she still has a debt to settle with her.

Five minutes later, the take began and on cue, Lan Jinyao and Lin Meirong walked to the camera.

Lan Jinyao easily got into her character as Ye Yunxi and dragged Si Yaoyao's (Lin Meirong) arm painfully as she confronted her. 

Lin Meirong could only clench her teeth and narrowed her eyes towards Lan Jinyao. This b.i.t.c.h was definitely hurting her on purpose. She was sure of it! 

"You said you love him but why did you lie to him, huh?" She sneered at Si Yaoyao's face. 

"Ye Yunxi, I don't know what you're talking about!" Si Yaoyao cried painfully. Lin Meirong's distress unexpectedly looked more natural and beautiful that the director didn't dare to stop the filming. 

"You don't know?" Ye Yunxi said with a tone filled with disbelief. "You can lie all you want, Si Yaoyao but the truth remains that you tried to drug him so he would sleep with you!" 

"I did not! Ye Yunxi, you're crazy!" Lin Meirong tried to pull her arm away from Lan Jinyao. 

"You can deny but you cannot hide the truth!" Lan Jinyao released her and looked down at her arrogantly. This conniving b.i.t.c.h not only managed to ruin her Sister Ying's marriage but tried to bribe someone to rape her. How despicable Lin Meirong could be? 

"A person with a vile heart such as yours, do you think a man would really want you?"
