The moment Shen Zichen and Li Chuntao arrived in front of the rented mansion, the security was left flabbergasted by what they've seen. They were expecting Li Xiuying's arrival and when the luxury car stopped in front of them and saw Shen Zichen stepping out and escorting a woman, all of them held their breath. 

They didn't expect a G.o.ddess showing up tonight. 

Li Chuntao was definitely breathtaking and alluring in her deep red gown with a plunging neckline. It flattered and accentuated the graceful arc of her smooth neck and her exposed collarbone added to the s.e.xiness she exuded.

The gown also highlighted her shapely figure in the right places. As their eyes gazed down her lower body, the skirt was tailored in a way that Li Chuntao's long legs were revealed to everyone's gaze every time she took a step forward as she clings on Shen Zichen's arm. 

Her long hair was pinned up with a few locks framing her face. 

This 'Li Xiuying' was dressed in red but she didn't look vulgar or showy at all. The G.o.ddess, once known for having an angelic face now possesses a devilish beauty that no one can overlook or ignore. There was no doubt that she was the most beautiful woman tonight. 

Beside her, Shen Zichen escorted her with a regal aura of a king. 

It was no wonder that when Shen Zichen and Li Chuntao entered the mansion, everyone's eyes spoke of amazement and bewilderment upon seeing her as if a spell had been cast by a witch on her subjects. Her beauty alone was so blinding that it left everyone speechless. 

The person who was blinded the most was Lin Meirong herself. She found herself dumbfounded and thought she was just seeing things. She couldn't believe that there was a woman as beautiful and as graceful as Li Xiuying. 

Compared to her, Li Xiuying was like a G.o.ddess and she was reminded once again of the difference between them. She was merely a peasant dressed up and pretending to be a high-cla.s.s woman. She pretended to be a diamond only for Li Xiuying to outs.h.i.+ne her for being a dazzling sun. 

Being in the same room with Li Xiuying, Lin Meirong lost her appeal and radiance and people around her ignored her presence. 

It couldn't be…. It must be a mistake. Wasn't Li Xiuying involved in an accident? How come her face wasn't ruined? Thinking about it, even when she saw Li Xiuying at Flair Apparel, she looked as regal as ever, as if the accident did not have any effect on her. 

Li Chuntao's regal and impressive aura entranced every person in the room, it was as if the G.o.ddess was silencing their tongues. It took a short while for the producer to break the silence as he greeted her. 

"Lady Li, I'm glad that you are able to attend tonight," he said. 

"Yes, Lady Li. Thank you for accepting our invitation." The director followed. 

"Thank you for your gifts. I received them although I'm not sure how's my relations.h.i.+p with everyone in the crew." Li Chuntao responded while Shen Zichen remained silent throughout the conversation. They allowed the producer to lead them to the VIP area. 

"Oh my G.o.d. Is it really Lady Li? My eyes are blessed by a G.o.ddess!" 

"Hehe… she's a Li though. Are you forgetting that the Lis are famous for their cold beauty?"

"Why else couldn't Shen Zichen let go of her? If I were him, I'd also fight to get Lady Li's hand." 

"Look at that face! She doesn't even need makeup to cover any blemishes. A single lip gloss completed her look." 

Lin Meirong's face grew increasingly white as the compliments for Li Xiuying reached her ears. It was already hard enough for her to compete with Lan Jinyao's dazzling beauty, now she was being overshadowed by Li Xiuying's ethereal beauty with her presence alone. 

She clenched her fists angrily but her face maintained her mask of pretentiousness. She could only nurse her bruised ego internally. 

There was no denying that Li Xiuying was able to steal the spotlight tonight. Li Xiuying was so glamorous and beautiful which was enough to blind someone's eyes from jealousy. Seeing Li Xiuying like this, an ominous feeling started to grow in Lin Meirong's heart. 

She quickly collected herself and forced a smile on her face. Li Xiuying should have been dead by now, rotting in h.e.l.l! 

"For someone who was involved in an accident, Lady Li is surely lucky not to suffer from any injuries." 

Lan Jinyao who was sitting next to the table heard her comment and scoffed. She was boiling in rage remembering the injuries she had seen on the real Li Xiuying before her pa.s.sing. Lin Meirong dared to say Li Xiuying was lucky? 

If she'd seen how Li Xiuying had suffered in her last hours, this dumb woman wouldn't even dare to look at her, let alone talk about it. 

"Losing your memories for the last seven years of your life? Who's the lucky one? Maybe the one who's lucky is the person who caused her grievances because she wouldn't be able to get even with them in this state." 

When the other actresses and crew heard what she said, they couldn't help but feel pity for Li Xiuying. She was physically alright but her mind had forgotten things and memories that might have been important. 

Cold s.h.i.+vers ran down Lin Meirong's spine when she heard what Lan Jinyao said. She turned to look at the woman's face and tried to gauge her intention but Lan Jinyao's gaze was fixated on Li Xiuying who was busy whispering words to the man sitting next to her. 

Was she really lucky? Lin Meirong pondered. It couldn't possibly be. Her encounter with Shen Lingqing the other day proved that even if Li Xiuying didn't remember it doesn't mean those around her were fools. 

The thought of having to meet Shen Lingqing in the future was enough to give her a mental scare. She wouldn't be able to endure it if she was to meet the demon princess again. 

Meanwhile, Li Chuntao wasn't oblivious to the stares everyone was throwing at her and Shen Zichen's way. If anything, she could see the gears in their heads turning, cooking up a.s.sumptions that could possibly end up with a.s.suming that Li Xiuying had been in a relations.h.i.+p with Young Master Shen even before she cut ties with her estranged husband. 

Speaking of that b.a.s.t.a.r.d, she wondered where he was.

Li Xiuying had suffered in silence after she confirmed her suspicions of his betrayal. The events that happened following the realization had taken a toll on her. Li Chuntao's heart ached for her sister from the moment Ying confessed everything to her before her death.
