Chapter 898: The Clash between Nebulas

The frozen stars were not just for show. It was the materialized form of Qin Feng’s formidable internal strength.

Up at the hill, Z’s mouth turned into an O shape. He was beyond astonished.

The Skeletal Sovereign within the barrier had misjudged Qin Feng’s strength as well. Qin Feng hid his true power well.

“d.a.m.n!” The Skeletal Sovereign cried.

It was already too late.

“Go!” Qin Feng stirred his internal force. The nine frozen stars ascended to the height of the grey moon. The internal force then transformed the stars into piercing arrows and charged at the moon.

A greyish fog began to form around the moon to block the attack. However, it might be enough to resist one arrow but not the second or the third.

Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!

The remaining eight arrows penetrated the grey globe. The domineering force scarred the nebula brutally.

The barrier around them suddenly turned shaky. The loss of grey runes caused some of the skeleton creatures that rose with the barrier to crumble instantly. The barrier was no longer tightly sealed too. Qin Feng had found multiple openings where he could exit the barrier immediately.

But he would not leave when he was so close to victory. He pressed on with his magnificent frozen stars. The stars once again beamed dazzlingly with internal force.

Upon reaching S-tier, the internal force becomes a terrifying weapon. Most of the time, S-tier apt.i.tude users hardly used their real body in combat.

Crack! Crack!

More fissure occurred on the Skeletal Sovereign’s nebula. The S-tier emperor had never been this terrified in its long life. Fear had taken over his once imperious eyes.

“No!” The Skeletal Sovereign tried to retract the grey globe, which was his conscious starglobe.

When the globe was being released from its realm, it transformed into a nebula that could easily demolish any apt.i.tude user with a physique below S-tier.

Unfortunately, the Skeletal Sovereign had come across an eccentric opponent.

Qin Feng would not let the chance slip. He lunged toward the Sovereign carrying the nine frozen stars’ enormous force.

It was the final straw. The Sovereign’s nebula completely shattered.

Boom!

The nebula promptly exploded. A large amount of grey and dark runes dispersed rapidly into the surrounding area.

A bird-type beast flew past them and was contaminated by the runes. It instantly lost all its power as well as its flesh. Peculiarly, the bird continued to fly on despite only having its skeleton intact. Its eyes turned green and burned with soul fire.

The dark rune would turn the whole population of the Cities along the Sun into zombies or undead creatures if spread on.

But in the next moment, these runes that surged to the air inverted more rapidly than they had initially erupted.

In the middle of the valley, a whirlpool appeared in between Qin Feng’s brows. All the escaped runes were pulled in by it.

When Qin Feng was at G-tier, his ability could already absorb the runes on the h.e.l.l Stone. Though the Skeletal Sovereign was powerful, its starglobe was not as pure as the h.e.l.l Stone. To Qin Feng, he was just claiming the dark core from yet another S-tier monster.

But the amount of consciousness the Sovereign possessed was indeed ma.s.sive. Similar to Qin Feng, the Sovereign must have killed a lot of monsters and claimed their consciousness throughout its life.

The a.s.similation of such broad conscious power significantly elevated Qin Feng’s conscious realm.

Bam!

Conscious level B9-tier!

Bam!

Conscious level A-tier!

If Qin Feng was an ordinary apt.i.tude user, such a mammoth amount of conscious power would have long ruptured Qin Feng’s realm.

Luckily, Qin Feng’s conscious realm was equivalent to the rank of a beast emperor. Unlike his physique, Qin Feng’s realm could expand endlessly. In addition, G.o.dwill Atlas helped smoothen his leveling from one tier to another.

Instantly, Qin Feng’s consciousness climbed to a new height. As if a G.o.d had descended to the human world, people watching him could not resist the urge to kneel down and wors.h.i.+p him.

Even Z needed to draw substantial energy from his body to resist Qin Feng’s aura. Luckily, Qin Feng did not indulge in it for too long. This was the second time he attained A-tier. Qin Feng quickly regressed the aura and appeared ordinary again.

However, the two that had witnessed his transformation would no longer view him as a normal human.

The dark runes from the Sovereign’s nebula had been completely absorbed by Qin Feng. Even the remaining runes left by the destroyed barrier were s.n.a.t.c.hed up. Otherwise, this place might turn into a dark place roamed by evil creatures.

Then, Qin Feng laid his eyes on the Skeletal Sovereign. It was still alive.

Of course, it could hardly be called sovereign now. After its conscious globe was destroyed by Qin Feng, the once atrocious Skeletal Sovereign was just a wasted creature now.

After years of acc.u.mulation, the toughness of the skeleton’s bone had evolved into A-tier. Though its physique was still considered high-end, it was no different than an ant in front of Qin Feng’s power.

S-tier was G.o.dly, while A-tier was mortal.

“As I said, return to your dimension and I will spare your life,” Qin Feng warned with an icy tone.

The skeleton did not die immediately after its consciousness was mutilated. It might look human but instead was an undead that could live forever. Otherwise, he would have long dissipated after his conscious realm collapsed.

“I will retreat now! I will go back now!” The skeleton pleaded, “Don’t kill me, please. I didn’t do this on purpose. I am just here looking for a lost item.”

Qin Feng said, “I see. The item you speak of, wasn’t it taken by me?”

The skeleton immediately regretted it. ‘Why would I say that?’

But its soul flickered rapidly and the dejected skeleton responded, “Do you want dark sacred stone? Don’t kill me and I will give you mine!”

Qin Feng glared at him. “If you have the sacred stone, why did you come all the way to my world looking for it? Don’t you lie to me!”

The skeleton was stunned and realized its lie was porous. It quickly corrected itself, “No, wait! I mean I know where the sacred stone is. I can tell you and you can get it by yourself!”

“Really?”

“Yes! Yes!”

Qin Feng did not bother with his reply and called out, “Bai Li.”

When they were talking, Qin Feng and the skeleton were communicating through their consciousness. But when Qin Feng spelled out the two words, the skeleton did not understand the language and was dumbfounded. In the next moment, a lady in a white robe appeared right by Qin Feng.

“Look at me!”

Bai Li’s silver-glaring irises peered straight into the skeleton’s soul and took it over.
