They were still looking out of the winds.h.i.+eld mirror; they didn't want to see anything they couldn't unseen.

Li Yuan exhaled a deep breath and sneered, "This is all because you want to keep things..."

The pain that was coming from her injured back made Lei Xinyi grit her teeth. She could feel the blood rush out of her. If it continued, she was bound to faint.

Apparently, she didn't apply them that goodly but she couldn't blame herself. It was already hard applying them without looking and then she was treating her own wound.

At least the blood leaving her body was reduced to a minimum.

"Li Yuan, just drop it! Don't you get tired of this same fight we have every time?!" She hissed.

Li Yuan scoffed at her, "Yes, and that's because you don't want to resolve our problem! This relations.h.i.+p makes me feel suffocated, I don't know what you will drop on me the next moment!"

Lei Xinyi narrowed her eyes into slits, "You feel suffocated?! You know what? I feel drained from this relations.h.i.+p!"

That was a clear way of dissolving a relations.h.i.+p. They were both in their worst tempers.

It was a simple way of expressing the relation was just a bonded knot and wasn't doing any party any good.

At this point, Lei Xinyi didn't care about the engagement was to be broken. It wasn't like it was going to have proceeded anyway.

The real Lu Xinyi was AWOL and she was going to poof in thin air soon too. Sooner or later it was bound to happen, it was inevitable!

He turned his head sharply to look her way.

Li Yuan eyes narrowed in slits, "What are you insinuating?!"

"You know what I am insinuating." She huffed out a breath, tired of the conversation already. "Just drop it!"

And he did drop it. In these states of mind, they were only heading to one direction and that was down the drain.

Li Yuan leaned back in the seat and turned the key in the ignition with an unexplainable rage bubbling in him.

He wanted to shout and force her to listen to sort their situation.

But she was h.e.l.l-bent on destroying the scarce relation they have left.

He had an urge to drag her back inside his sanctum and lock her inside there forever so she can never utter the nonsense she was uttering right now.

He fisted the steering wheel till his bleeding muscles turned pale.

She was indeed a cruel lover, any other woman would have tried to bandage his wounds or be sympathetic but here she sat with a ticked jaw looking out of the car.

He often thought what was it about this woman that all other paled in comparison?

Why she out of all beauties appeal him like no other? Li Yuan shook his head lightly. No gain thinking this!

Li Yuan drove the car out of the uncivilized area and their phones started vibrating at once, indicating the connectivity back to the world.

Once connected to Data Lei Xinyi saw she had received calls and messages from Master Lu, Madam Lu, and her head of Security.

Apparently, Li Yaun was right. This place really detached you from the world.

She quickly typed a message telling them she was fine and was with Li Yaun and will call them later about the details. That would placate them for now.

Li Yaun didn't even touch his phone that was 'pinging' with notifications but that was until his phone started ringing.

He looked at the screen and hit the brakes instantly of the fast-moving car, causing Lei Xinyi to jerk forward.

In absolute reflex, she dug her heels in the car leather interior to prevent hitting the winds.h.i.+eld gla.s.s.

Whatever it was, it wasn't good news but far from it, even a blind could testify to that.
