Without him sensing anything, not too far from him was a man who was looking towards him with a smile.

Looking towards the smile, Yang Shen felt that it resembled the way a snake looked when it spotted its prey.

Maintaining the same smile full of malice as he spoke so, the man didn't show any sign of attacking Yang Shen despite having seen him kill three members of his clan.

"How did I arrive behind you without your notice?"

Not waiting for Yang Shen's whose face had turned pale from shock and fear to nod his head, Hao Chu licked his lips and said, "It's because you are useless."

Continuing to speak, Hao Chu explained himself unless Yang Shen thought that he was lying.

"For someone in the Qi Gathering Realm, you couldn't even sense the fluctuations of Qi around you. I can't believe that someone like you managed to enter the QI Gathering Realm."

Understanding what the man who resembled a snake in temperament and actions meant when he said he was useless, Yang Shen secretly looked around to see if there were anyone else nearby.

"You don't have to look around, I'm the only one here."

Smiling as he heard those words filled with pure confidence and clear disregard, Yang Shen didn't bother with his slightly hurt pride and instead swung the Great Wolf's Fang with all of his strength.

"Hahahaha, how naive. Were you filled with confidence after learning that I'm the only one here?"

As his sword arrived at its destination without any interference, Yang Shen who heard the words coming from behind him looked completely lifeless and devoid of energy as he muttered, "Battle Skill."

"Correct."

Screaming loudly from pain, Yang Shen flew forward and fell down on the street after which he immediately began coughing up blood.

Not even possessing enough strength to turn around, Yang Shen who had fallen face first on the ground looked as if he had received the world's biggest shock.

A single punch on his back resulted in all the bones around his right shoulder being cracked and almost turned into dust, and with no way to fight back. And this was despite him wearing the Level 6 Ice Snake Armor he obtained from the lucky draw.

What did this mean?

The one who punched him was at least a Xiantian Cultivator, if not an even stronger one.

Arrogance which isn't backed by strength will lead to one's downfall.

Not knowing why he suddenly thought of those words, Yang Shen used all of his strength to turn around and look towards Hao Chu who was leisurely walking in his direction.

Bringing the palm sized golden paper out of the inventory, Yang Shen didn't need to do anything at all as it started to s.h.i.+ne brightly.

After all, his hands were covered in the blood of the three people he killed. And therefore as soon as the talisman came in contact with the blood, it was immediately activated and began doing its job.

Executing his Battle Skill, Hao Chu planned on killing Yang Shen before the talisman which appeared out of nowhere could be fully activated.

Unfortunately, while Hao Chu's fist managed to strike Yang Shen, what happened after it did was completely out of his expectations.

With Yang Shen's entire body bursting into blood, the cloud of blood took to the skies and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

"How….?!"

Left behind with his mouth wide open, Hao Chu upon recovering went to inform what happened to his seniors.

After all, even though he wasn't knowledgeable enough to know what talisman Yang Shen used to escape, he was experienced enough to tell that it was a very high level one.

So how could a commoner with no background possess such an item?

Stretching her hand forward which pa.s.sed through s.p.a.ce and grabbed onto the cloud of blood, the woman tossed it in another direction.

Not too long after she did this, the woman waved her hand and sent two items to follow the cloud of blood.

No longer bothering to look towards what she sent Yang Shen's way, or even think about the one she just helped out, the woman turned serious and said, "It's time for me to take care of my business and go back to my world."
