The Lecherous Cultivation System 39 The Greatsword Isn't For You

Panting crazily while covered in sweat, Yang Shen who had been constantly swinging the huge greatsword felt relieved that he could finally stop.

Shaking her head at how she could still not believe what she had witnessed, Bingqing stayed silent for a while and took some time to gather her thoughts.

But if Yang Shen wanted to learn how to properly use his strength and how to fight, he'd have to make some major changes.

Starting with his weapon.

Nodding his head, Yang Shen felt fine with now being able to cultivate for a while even if it meant losing the constant XP he was obtaining every day.

Interrupting Yang Shen before he could say something, Bingqing added, "You'll have to give up on the greatsword."

"Wha…"

"Listen to me first before deciding."

"The greatsword is a straight forward weapon which can only be used to attack, attack, and attack. And given how bad of a shape your robes and armor was in when I saved you, you must have experienced a lot of fights inside the forest."

Nodding his head, Yang Shen continued listening to Bingqing who patiently explained herself.

Showing a wry smile because his situation inside the forest was just like Bingqing had said, Yang Shen asked, "What are you trying to say?"

Pausing for a while, Bingqing finally said, "Someone like you isn't suited to use a greatsword. You need a versatile weapon which can be used in any situation. A spear."

"But before you decide on using a spear, pay attention to my words."

"The spear isn't the same as the remaining weapons. You must have already heard of this, it takes 100 years to master the sword, but a lifetime to master the spear."

"Spear is the king of the weapon with no rivals. But it is very difficult to practice and even harder to wield."

It wasn't that Yang Shen hadn't considered choosing it as his weapon, but when his mindset was focussed on looking cool, he chose to use the greatsword.

After everything that happened though, Yang Shen now placed more importance on becoming strong instead of looking cool.

As long as he was strong enough, even a wave of his hand would look cool. So what did it matter which weapon he used?

Having determined himself to grow strong, Yang Shen didn't mind spending a lifetime mastering how to use the spear if that was what he needed to.

"Okay, I'm fine with switching my weapon. But I don't have a spear on me."

"I can take care of that. But there's something else you need to know. Finding a good spear to use is many times harder than the other weapons."

"To make a good spear, the shaft must be rigid yet flexible at the same time. Therefore, given the materials used to make this possible, a spear would cost at least five times a sword of the same level does."

Not throwing the Giant Wolf's Fang just so that he would look cool, Yang Shen who knew that he'd obtain points from selling it to the system decided to do so later.

After all, it wasn't just because Bingqing had said so. Yang Shen himself had noticed that the greatsword wasn't for him.

It was just that he wasn't willing to give up on it after having used the Beginners Guide to any Weapon of Your Choice to learn the basics of using a greatsword.

Almost as if being able to see the slight reluctance in Yang Shen to stop using the greatsword, Bingqing said something which completely got rid of it.

"Be it a coincidence or not, a spear suits you."

Pointing towards the Dragon's Mark on the side of his neck, Bingqing said, "Kings use Swords, Monarchs use Sabers, and Dragons use Spears."

Showing a look of enlightenment on his face after hearing those words, Yang Shen had to admit that Bingqing's words would make any man want to use the spear.
